Would you exercise in RL?  Or this is never gonna happen, or is already happening?

2 years ago I would have laugh at the concept...but well...girls tend to mess you up!  What about you?

Forced grouping?  I would bitch, moan, complains, but heck yes.

I would NEVER play a game forcing any other gameplay on me however.  Forced raiding?  I am out.  Forced PvP?  I am out.  Forced tradeskills?  I am out.  Forced = better rewards; for an achiever as me at any rate.

I rather see a fine design which doesn't abuse other players.  But...well...as a grouper I can live with abusing everyone else!  (yet I would pinpoint that we lose other players which could be tamed into grouping eventually if they where not crushed out)  The main flaw of this situation, is that it's open the door for some dev-ious to forced other ideas/concept on their players and thinking it is okay...while it isn't.

The gameplay is closer to Diablo than to CoX.

Diablo as a MMO, but Diablo nonetheless.  CoX gameplay is quite similar to WoW and EQ.

Go see a trailer for yourself, plenty of them on You Tube.

Personnally, I can't wait for the next "City of" game/expansion.  I wish for medieval-fantasy, but I will play about just anything.

I would be surprised if Champion is anywhere close to CoX.

Hopefully, CoX is about to expand with a new setting.  New twists, new rules, new setting.  I am definitely looking forward to a City of Medieval-Fantasy or whatever they have in mind.

I will try Champion, but it really seem to be turning as an arcade game, with some RPG elements...yet who know...this definition could describe Diablo or Diablo III as well.

1- City of Villains/Heroes.  No other MMOs could boost keeping the Anofalye 5 years, even if my interest dwindle a lot and switch, I am still there.

2- EverQuest.  If it was not for raiding, I would still be playing that game.  Raiding ruins it all, and it even ruins other MMOs.  Raiding has no room in my MMO, unless they do it an intelligent ways, as in #1 (no rewards exclusive to raiders)!  I play it about 4 years...with over of 1 year in game time...LOL.

3- Saga of Ryzom.  Different and upholding their belief.  I play it a month...which no other MMOs beside the first 2 manage to do.

4 & 5 - I really don't feel like any title is worthy of getting these spots.  I guess I could fill WoW in there, but it is an EQ/DAoC clone...could also possibly think of putting DAoC there, prolly in 4th...but meh...

Nope, no design.

Just random ideas put together.  No vision, no design, no path, no goal.  This is the only way we could have end-up with perfect clones of each other.  Oh, game A does that, we must as well...and so on.

BioWare are bringing the first designers into the industry.  I can't wait to see the results.  *tease evilly*

Arresting spandex-wearer since 1971.  Hmmm, could be an interesting MOTG...

Strangely enought, this game is beating most other titles extremely easily in my interest.  Bottomline, it will be FUN.  I will do what I want, when I want, the way I want.  Which is what a game is supposed to be about.

Some comments are quite dense.  Oh no, the main villain is making me laugh, I mean, the world will stop resolving right now!  LOL.  Silliness is an acceptable path to fun.

EDIT: Zorv, you know what happen to the man who NEVER get what he wants?  He also had nothing to hope for.

All these games together won't have half the amount of subs you write in 2010.

Peoples will be moving to new titles.  I for 1 will never play a must-raid/PvP game, and I am not alone...many players have such a strong stance but only against 1 aspect...and many other things to consider.  The point is, these titles rinse and repeat the same mistakes, over and over and over again, up to Ad Nauseum.  The smallest injury if not treated could lead to severe consequences.

Simple is good.

Complexity for the sake of complexity was never Gary's goal.  New rules where added to make the game better, this simplification is well done IMO.

Fanbois are dangerous for their own game.

Trolls are amusing/boring, nobody really give a damn what they say 99% of the time.  When devs listen to their trolls (1% of the time), treat them as fanbois instead, they are just as bad, in these occasions.

Devs need a spine and to ignore fanbois (and trolls) and just analyze/figure out what is best on their own, fanbois and trolls should be read only as part of a brainstorm activity, never as part of a serious opinion/direction for their game.  Cause trolls and fanbois have 1 good thing, they usually have tons of ideas...so for a brainstorming, if the devs have the spines, they are actually good.  Saddly, when devs lack spines and are desesperate to please their investors, reading these guys is actually extremely dangerous...especially that they have no vision, no long-term goal, only a mine of brainstorm ideas.

World of World of Warcraft.  They will use the WWW instead of WoWoW apparently for a sigle.

In no precise order: USA, France, Sweden, Lithuanie, Turkey, Canada except Ontario(french hatred over there, I run out of patience with them "Lindros-syndrom"), Russia, South Korea, Singapoure would mostly be of interest to visit/settle down.  I guess it would most likely depend on life opportunities over there.

French Guinea, New Caledonie, New Zeland, Japan, Vietnam, Taiwan, Gabon and most other Europeans countries would also be appealing, even if less than the above countries.

The idea here is to keep your horizons open and wide, you never knows.  I would likely frown at the mention of other places, but eh, maybe, why not.  I am extremely happy with Quebec city however and I dunno if I would move anytime soon, I guess a job or a girl could make me move!  :P

Name me 1 game which deserve that I upgrade my computer.

The best MMO out there is City of Villains (not even a close call, it outmatch each and every other MMO soo easily it is presponderous), it runs fine on a computer which was top-notch in 2003.  A computer which is more recent?  Why?  I hardly see any use for it.

I have 2k on the side ready...for 2 years now.  And no game is even remotedly worth that I spent this money.  Make a good game and we will talk again.  Release crap with high requirements and I will just laugh at your sillyness.

Non-MMO wise...Civ IV: Beyond the Sword/Medieval Total War (the 2nd also runs well, but I don't like it so uninstall it) also run extremely well.  I am starving for good games, and there are not just coming.  Go ahead, focus on this PvP/FPS/Whatever, I can wait.

LOOKING FOR A GAME...and/or a girl!  :P

No it isn't any kind of bug,  Mez powers stack, usually mezzes are around mag 3 with a 50 mez protection being around 10-11...  He's just mad because somehow he managed to get through the game without being Mez'd.. And now that he is he thinks the world is coming to an end... Or something

The power grants Mez resistance which means you can take a few mezzes.. What he wants is a power that prevents mez altogether. Which would make PvP against a mez heavy class like a Controller or Dominator a one sided battle. It's just that most end level villains have some sort of mez in their attacks or may be a heavy mez class like the carnies, which may have 4-5 Lt's that can mez you, and he is taking the aggro from the group what else would he expect?

Even in a comic or Cartoon, [insert godly villain here] may not be held by a single hero but if enough of them focus their powers on him they could bind him (Mez) Doesn't seem like too hard of a concept to understand... but he doesn't seem to get it...

You put words I never spoke in my mouth.

I want to never be mez by minions/lieutnants/bosses.  Not the same.  Again, PvP obviously screw PvE, as you main argument is solely about PvP!  Which is completely and totally irrelevant for a player as me.  I don't care if there is 1 or 50 lieutnants, they are not supposed to mez a dark batman, a dark superman, a dark powered tanking villain.

I would always recommend /dark cause you can then play and relax.

Force Field for example...it is a constant hassle if you want to buff your pets.

Nah it is not a bug.  The way the game work, the stun status is a stacking effect (mag 2+ mag 2 + mag 2 + mag 2 + mag 3 would beat a stun resist of 11, which is what most brutes have...so 5 minions/lieutnants perfectly timed could stun any brute, the mag effect usually last on the target between 1-10 seconds for stacking purpose).  Eventually, if you stack enought of the weakest stun, you would stun anything.  Which, IMO, isn't acceptable.  A level 50 brute shouldn't be stunned by lowly attacks, no matter how many of these.  Especially in a game which is supposedly group-oriented.

See, casuals players and soloers won't see this at all.  But the ultra-endgame oriented players will see this, I am not even sure the devs themselves understand the issue.  The lack of understanding of some devs, if not all of them, still doesn't justify this design orientation.  It affect only 1% of the players, it is still a design mistake, shafting 1% or 100% of your players is a mistake regardless.
