Pixar vs Dreamworks: which is better?

Pixar, though my opinion is lukewarm and probably unfounded. |

FSC cigarettes are nasty and making me sick.
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 11/02/09 8:17:50 PM
I burned a whole in my pants when my cherry fell into my lap while driving on the highway today. This happened two days after the cherry fell off onto my upper arm while driving. These fire safe cigarettes are going to be the death of me. |

Shit if I were competing at WCG I'd tell those strippers to eff off. I can drive to about 15 different places 15 minutes from here and see much more attractive sluts. I'd just say "Listen bitch, I'm trying to hold B with an awp here and your titties in my face aren't helping me out." |

What was your first sci-fi or fantasy novel you read and why?
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 10/19/09 12:48:17 AM
I got caught drinking freshman year of high school and was punished to one month of no t.v. or friends. So I figured the Lord of the Rings trilogy would keep me company, and it did. As far as becoming an avid fan of sf/f, I can't say I understand where most of you are coming from. I put down about 75% of sf/f books before page 100. Wheel of Time got boring to me after 5 or 6 books. Ursula LeGuin I respect the hell out of, but she just can't keep my attention. I love H.G. Wells. I also enjoy Gene Wolfe and George R.R. Martin. I'm sick to death of the "average joe discovers his destiny" archetype that dominates most of the books.
Does anyone want to recommend me a series given that history? I really have trouble finding good books in this genre. |

Some of my weird threads as of late
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 10/19/09 12:16:34 AM
I really don't intend to stoke this any further (actually, maybe I do), but the way you use the English language is cracking me up. You're trying too hard to sound educated, when you can communicate your point without using flowery words. I work with 25 doctors on a daily basis, and none of them sound like an "educated" dickhead. They speak to me politely and conversationally. They don't throw in words they learned in their 4000 level comp class. You have a fucking law degree. Get over yourself. |

Caleveira should learn some grammar and English before he starts throwing stones. |

I read up on the process out of curiosity as to how you could turn a penis into a sexhole (oh dear, that didn't come out right, I swear I don''t wanna be a woman), and I'd say one of five looked halfway normal below the waist post-op. The rest looked like...I don't really wanna talk about it. |

Craz-E Burger: Americans embrace 1,500 calorie doughnut burger
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 10/11/09 8:36:47 PM
Am I missing something or is that just a burger with a doughnut instead of a bun? That's not extreme in the least. I'd try it without hesitation. Dough is dough, and some glazing, as the article said, would only help to compliment the bacon. I guess that makes me a fat slob. |

I need some new Pajamas for winter
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 10/06/09 9:33:23 PM
I wear scrub pants and an undershirt in the winter, and cutoff scrubs and shirtless in the warmer days. Works out just fine and dandy, and scrubs are $ .75 a pair at Savers, so my pockets are happy too. |

I liked it! I just discovered Farscape so now I have two Scifi shows to watch. Happy times, what with South Park and The Office having new episodes. To elaborate: This is the first Stargate series that has a real production quality to it. I watched 7 seasons of SG1 before abandoning ship, so don't take it the wrong way. SG1's production sucked, and Atlantis was unwatchably cheesy. I like the BSG feel this new series has to it. |

Hey man, good to see some of the familiar faces around here. My ban just ended a couple weeks ago as well. Congratulations on the last semester. As for me, I just started a job with the DDSSA (Disability Determination for Social Security Administration, yea, it's fun to explain where I work to people.) I'm a disability claims adjudicator apparently. As New Mexico and Oregon couldn't handle their case load, the Arkansas DDS branch hired 100 of us to start a "megacenter," so if you ever file a disability claim, I'll hook you up with a fat check, yo.

A lack of aids support in Africa, done by Christians. And I don't give a damn how many charities were started by Christians, the fact that these churches are making a profit from donations is sickening. It happens in every church, to varying degrees. I understand they have to keep their doors open, but does the dude's outfit need to cost $500, and does he need to drink out of a gold cup? People are begging for money on the front doorstep, father. |
