Haha. I play Shaiya right now, and depending on where you're levelling the downtime can be pretty bad. Then again, the downtime on any MMO is pretty shitty. I remember on old school SWG the downtime waiting in a hospital/cantina to get permanent wounds healed sucked. That's why I became a doctor in the game. To be highly sought after in an MMO is my ultimate goal, which is why I always play a healer or tank. |

I dont' know man. I might still do it. But Sean Young in Bladerunner is the hotness fosho. Another one of my old sci-fi movie crushes is Sigourney Weaver in Alien. Neither of the the women aged terribly, to be honest, and I'd probably hop on the good foot with them just to say I had. |

Well, Bladerunner being the best of the best is a given, though. Amirite? |

Wow, I just busted out laughing about 5 different times in 2 minutes. And my co-workers probably think I'm crazy. "I'm an older man. You can trust what I say." |

Pentagon Shooting = Scape Goat for Marijuana Legalization
Religion & Politics « General Discussion 3/11/10 9:50:21 AM
Originally posted by Wickersham I did read the whole thread, Samuel. Okay. Let's switch the words. So, because some addicted marijuana users exhibit "aggression" for a few days after they stop smoking, then it is somehow relevant to shooting up the Pentagon? I'm not really seeing the meaning of the sentence change very much. I'd say addicted and habitual are synonymous for all intents and purposes. Aggression is a slightly more extreme version of irritability, though it's still a huge jump to say someone who is aggressive is prone to shoot up federal gubment buildings. "I'm really pissed off and violent because I quit smoking. Grrr. I'm gonna go kill some m***** fu***** raaaaaaage."

I always play a female healer named Elizabethean in MMOs. I let desperate losers believe what they want (I don't ever deny being a guy, I just act polite to people and use a lot of emoticons) and I get a bunch of free shit all the time. Win! |

Ok, I'm done posting lame pictures and derailing threads. I'm sorry, but this image popped into my head when I read that. I'm really immature if you hadn't noticed. On topic: I'm one of the aforementioned assholes that really couldn't care less about all this rigmarole as long as it doesn't affect me in my next few decades on this earth. In the words of Stephen Tyler, "Hey, j-j-jaded." And I do have my mother's smile. |

Originally posted by JJOneway I understand where you're coming from, but just to play a little devil's advocate: the belief in God and the belief in the big bang theory are both large leaps of faith. I'm an agnostic, but were a gun put to my head and I were forced to guess, I'd lean more towards the existence of God (the deist/hands off variety of God.) Once again, given our infantile knowledge of the universe, it seems ridiculously arrogant to assume I'm the most important and powerful being in the universe. It's a pretty pathetic universe if that's the case. Edit: And to clarify, by having a gun to my head and guessing there is a God, I wouldn't do that for selfish motives (Paschal's Wager.) Although I have no idea if a "God" exists or not, I am fairly confident that there isn't an afterlife, so that wouldn't influence my decision. |

An opinion that has been formed by years of listening to the retarded drivel that lots of the religious types are stupid or deluded enough to believe in. Formal education certainly isn't the only mark of intelligence, so making it into secondary education means the square root of fuck all to me. Read all the books you want, if a person still clings to the belief that some mystical sky-father created us all and runs the universe, then the only way I can honestly describe them is an idiot. While I don't particularly subscribe to the notion of the Christian definition of a "God," it would be equally idiotic to disregard the possibility of some form of a "God." Being that humans know about .0000000000001% of what the fuck is going on in this universe, I don't see how you can be so certain that there is absolutely no power higher than us. |

Haha to your watered down plot of a movie getting dominated. How many times has that plot been used and reused? I suspect as long as man has been writing screenplays. |
