game = pve questing, dungeons and battlegrounds structured exactly like WoW's. endgame = raiding. lots of phasing and instancing used. |

Much like Rift, this game is sounding more and more like World of Warcraft with a slightly different set of instanced features tacked onto it.

many "really" quit WoW. most who stop playing it do. their churn rate is probably the highest ever. that's why all but some casual guilds and a few hardcore ones that started there remain, everyone else is new. WoW would have huge bumps in subs after major content releases id no one really quit, and they'd have maybe 20m subs right now.
what you're talking about, is that there are people who cut their teeth on the game and are disappointed when a WoW clone does not match the content and playability, or when a non-WoW clone launches imperfect and you don't have the patience to stick with it more than a month or two so you go back to WoW. |

When will there be a new game that doesn't try to hold your hand and escort you through the content?

TSW, AoW and GW2 do not actually lead your character around the world much(in Aow/gw2 case not at all really) but people still say that they do. my guess is unless it's a sandbox people will jsut call them all guided even if they aren't. for laughs though, archeage is more guided than half the themparks that have come out in the last half a year.
can't wait to see how that goes over with this tough guy me love snadbox crowd. |

since no proper poll options exist: - Wheel is a decent idea. it doesn't really offer the synergy or variety of a game like the first guild wars, even though GW had classes. - Animations are quite bad overall, distractingly so. - Builder/finisher system is lazy(wouldn't be if it were exclusive to one "deck"), and gets old right away because most people have probably played a rogue in WoW for an hour in their lifetime. - Combat overall not confusing at all, just very boring. |

Police the game like they used to do.

Originally posted by Torvaldr same old rationlization. "some" perverts, "some" loudmouths, my ass. it's MOST of the TERA players. MOST of you are doing this shit all the time. it's completely saturated throughout the playerbase and those who do not engage in this shitty behavior are the "some", the exceptions. there's no vocal minority for this game, it is a collection of assholes, with a few normals sprinkled about. everyone else fled tha game after being hammered enough by the boring game design once combat fades in conjunction with being surrounded by scum. |

Originally posted by Tayah It was like this way before it went F2P. besides the combat, the horrible community is the game's second most outsatanding feature. |

Originally posted by Scalpless yea, B&S is far more tasteful with it's sex appeal than TERA is. and the people in chat in TERA have been awful from day 1. |

Is the community bringing another promising game down?
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 2/19/13 8:25:31 AM
Originally posted by ShakyMo it's already going to be extremely similar to SWOTR outside of RvR. massive use of phasing for PVE, massive use of instancing for PVE, solo only story(i believe as a multiplayer game even swtor beats this). TBH, they could have made a MMO TES title, instead the lead on the prjoect chose to regurgitate an old game and slap TES coating onto it. it will probably still be a good game of course. |
