  So... you didn't read the thread, did you? They never said it was an exploit. They dodged the question when asked, and then the ban happened. Anet's interpretation of the event was not made clear up front.

Law also doesn't define every little thing you can't do, doesn't mean you won't get your ass busted for doing it, unless you live in country where you can sue tobacco company for getting cancer or food company for being fat because you eat too much.

But since you seem to be so adamant about ANET being in the wrong, please show some evidence where ANET is not clear about their stance on subject of exploiting.

I could swear i saw the exact same posts when the game started and ANET banned tons of people for exploiting. The outrage was insane.

Since ANET showed early on that they don't tolerate massive exploiting, one would think that people would get a clue... LOL

One thing i want to say, I tried the game in beta and also when it had free trial, both times I was far from impressed. Thought the combat wasn't worth a damn and writting was over the top. Saw the game as mediocre, nothing more.

I was really bored when it went B2P and since it cost 10$ here, I was like: "Why the heck not, if I get few hours of fun out of it, it will be worth it."

Now I have few days in and I'm absolutely loving the game and thinking of buying lifetime sub. Really wasn't expecting this. LOL

What I want to say is, don't go into it looking for faults (like I did :-D ) and try to accept and enjoy the game for what it is. :-)

Edit: bought the lifetime, got 2 bonus invites,  so I still have 3 left :-)

I'm having some issues with TSW patcher too, but probably of different kind.

The problem is new for me though. I also played AOC but never had problems there. The thing is, I can't even install the game, for some reason my ClientPatcher.exe crashes every time i try to run it and freezes the entire TSW folder :-D

I also tried everything i could but nothing helped. Well, almost nothing, but i have no idea if this is possible for you. Well, here it goes anyways.

I installed the game on different computer  (my laptop), updated it and then copied the entire 40Gb folder on external hard drive and moved it onto my pc. Game now runs without any problems. It even manages to update itself sometimes. But mostly it fails and i have to redo the entire process again :-D (If I let it run, the patcher infinitely runs at 0 bytes/sec, just like yours)

But i really like the game so i don't mind :-)

I think this should work for you too, no idea if it's worth the bother or possible for you though :-)

Edit: It really is horrible workaround, so if anyone has any idea what might be tha cause I'd welcome it :-)
