I was reading Fox news and came across this article. Technology is going to give soldiers a heads up!

This is so cool.  Hopefully all our soldiers around the world in dangerous areas will be able to have this.

Sounds like TERA to me.  Tera is a  mmorpg FPS.  You actually have to aim to hit something.  Pretty wild and the graphics are sweet.

I played DAOC for a few years and loved the game.  I had an Armsman and a Cleric both in the 40 range. It was a blast.

The only thing I didnt like was experience loss when you died when dungeon crawling or questing.  You can play all night and die a few times and you feel like the night was wasted.  I used to get so frustrated wth that.

Is that still in the game?

I'm not really clear on how it will all work, I know that it has something to do with Xbox live, (And I suppose you could have a xbox live account without having to have a xbox)

 

I do know that they've stated cross playform play (aka me on a xbox and you on a pc) will NOT be possible, to stop unfair advantages between mouse+keyboard users and controller users.

Still, There have been some single player games I wanted to play but didnt have an Xbox.  I will have to research this

I love gaming at home, but my nagging dog is starting to get to me.

She sits at my side and just stares at me, disappears for a moment to get some water, comes back,  then sits in the exact same spot.....you guessed it...stares at me.  It is driving me crazy.

Were there that many dinosaurs to cause that much Methane?  I mean with the oceans, winds and other factors, how in earth can that much methane be harmful?

Granted some costs are involved to do some of those things, but  that may be your only choice.

Just move on and get over it.  I have been camped and camped in WoW before, but a few IM's to my friends helps when they show up and take them out.

Remember, it's just a game

I like the sub fee.  I refuse to play any mmorpg that has a cash shop. 

IF TERA goes free to play....I am outa here.

That is a biproduct of the new "Generation Me" attitude that plagues all new MMOs. You are going to see that in every game now-a-days, especially PVP games which draw the worse out of people. I found the chat in the RP server more enjoyable. The PVP servers are just a cespool for chat, similar to every other MMO in the past 5 years.

Edit: Report anyone abusing Area chat, it works. It isn't much, but it is better than nothing. I've seen already 2 chat trolls suspended from the game from the Feral Valley server.

 

I agree the chat feels a lot like WOW chatter, but I am massivley enjoying the game, combat and simply ignoring chat all -together !!

Exactly how I feel.  I ignore the chat.  It gets so childish with the "smack" talking

I am not a fan at all of Facebook or Twitter, but I know a useful tool when I see one, and these 2 websites definately qualify as useful tools to stay informed.

I have received an email from En Masse that all erroneus charges are being REFUNDED over the next 2-10 days.

We will be billed again when the 30 free days expire.

And that settles it as far as I am concerned.

Same here. I took out a 6 month sub and they billed me already, but then I got the email.  All is good.

I had to wait till yesterday to play though.  My CE box just arrived.  Nice box and goodies inside.  I got a compass too.  It is pretty heavy.

I know it's minor.

Dont get me wrong.  I am loving the game, but no fishing?

I used to love taking a break and fish awhile in WoW, not knowing what I might pull up.

Who else likes to fish in a game? It is soothing, plus, you have to watch your back in PvP.

My friend had this problem, En Masse support gave them temporary access until they get their box.

I am in no rush..I will just wait.  It is supposed to get here today anyways (I hope), so no big deal

I ordered the colletors Edition a few weeks ago and I still havent got it from Amazon and I can't play till the box gets here and I get my code.

The 295 gtx is a 5 year old card, it wont run anything as intensive as TERA at max, no chance in hell. Upgrade to a 500 or 600 series card if you want that.

Also if your using a card as old as that, I'm assuming your using a SATA 1 HDD? Consider a SATA 3 SSD aswell if you have the coin as SATA 1 HDD's cant handle the troughput needed for highrez textures because of their sluggish transfer rate.

The GTX 295 card is just over 3 years old, not 5.

The GTX 285 and GTX 295 was reased in 2009.  I run TERA with my GTX 285 at max setting and have no issues.
