Allods Online: Undaunted Update Coming October 11th
News Discussion « General Discussion 9/28/11 2:41:55 PM
Same here, me and 3 of my friends were all leveling together up until a point where they changed the game so that you absolutely needed to buy from the cash-shop. We all talked about how much love had obviously been put into the game and all of it's lore. I've even tried to play after that change and it's supposed correction. But it's not the same. |

Will we be able to play Garou later on?
General Discussion « World of Darkness 7/31/11 8:56:06 PM
There's really not that much information out about the game, so we have no right to assume that werewolves will or will not be in the game upon release. It might even end up not seeing the light of day at all. |

Allods could have been the perfect example why people should at least review the F2P games. But then gpotato trashed it and made it the perfect example of why people should avoid the F2P games. There are decent enough F2P games out there, I think. Vindictus, at least. |

POLL: Are you a "doll player" type of MMO gamer?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 3/25/11 1:49:49 PM
I voted in-between. Because it totally depends on how immersive the game lets me be in regards to my character. As mentioned, City of Heroes/Villains just takes the cake on that one. After all this time, you would have thought some company at least tried to do in the same manner. Or better. But no. To be fair, DCUO came close with the forever unlocked after discovery thing. And letting you lock in the pieces you wanted to keep as a visual style. But I still miss the macro-switching in CoX. And why hasn't any other kind of MMO tried something as immersive for the vain among us. Sure sure, some allow you to color your armor, Aion lets you alter the look of a certain piece by process of merging. Why not just open it a little more, or just put in a vanity set.. like some do(but don't let you change the color). I know I probably don't know the inner workings of all MMO's out there, so some may have the options. But do they then have the playability? |

I loved this game before the big pay to win change. It even managed to give me hope for a while, something to help get rid of WoW at the time. |

Most depressing character death in any game
General Gaming « General Discussion 3/22/11 5:48:34 PM
This right here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Z7PoVMNyfI Tassadar's sacrifice in the original Starcraft. 13 years ago, but I can still remember the goosebumps and the tear I shed. Of course, a 2 minute clip will never get you emotionally connected to the character. |

Invasions were awesome for the first few days, then they became a little tedious. After 2 weeks of playing I gave up and logged out every time one started. And now I just can't even find the will to log in at all. |

The only thing that I think of when I see hardcore used as a gaming term, is Diablo II. Hardcore characters died for good, no resurrection. You'd only ever get your gear back IF you had a good friend in there with you. Now, I realize it's not an MMO. But that doesn't change the fact that Diablo II just did it right in my eyes. Big risk with big rewards(pride mostly). |
