So, I'll Freely admit I'm a day one WoW player, and I've played off and on since then. I've taken serveral breaks to play other games like Age of conan but in the end nothing has brought me any joy. Right now I'm looking for a new expirence, PVP or PVE, something I haven't seen before, Maybe something story driven or a pvp game with a sandbox enviroment, Im taking all suggestions (except those reguarding EVE).

Its interesting that said individual would intrust insider information to someone who lacks basic grammer skills,  and the basic ability to use the keyboard.

here's the thing PSU has been a small site for a few years now and they have had more then a few invalid stories reguarding MGS4. Some of the stories they have published have been similar to this saying that they know somebody, but i would discredit almost 100% of the whole "we know this insider information" stories from that site. Besides what are the chances of an exemploye of bioware saying to himself " hey why dont i share this insider information i have with this crappy little website. Because I think if they wanted to be spiteful as the article discribes they'd want to give the information to a site like gameinformer, or gamespot.

Hey all im Nanoviper a member of a the Warforged guild and leader of the Warforged Gaming MMORPG association.  We are currently recruiting conan players who level quickly and are adept pvpers. We are all racing to create our guild city but need more players to build it.

The majority of our community is made up of SWG vets from VEA on the bloodfin server, and we all are really tight. so if youre looking for a good guild and a better community come join us on Doomsayer and send me a PM here for our vent info.

If vanguard wants to well...... not die then it needs to evolve. The first thing I would do would be to restructure player housing by putting in a larger variety of buildings then I change the plot system as to allow players to create cities. Next I would implement better pvp, so as to incourage more fighing. Finally I would restructure economy by taking out all droppables and making it a 100 player stimulated economy. Finally i would relaunch it with new features and new servers as to incourage new players to join.

As a programmer who has written tons of applications, I know for a fact they still have the old source code. You dont just delete tens of thousands of dollars of work because you think you'll never need them again. One of the emu projects (which will remain unnamed) has looked into it and reverse engineering the new nge packets and can see that they contain alot of the old data. This paired with the fact that much of the old data is needed to reference in the fixing of bugs and improvement of the game they definatly have it lying around some where. Also between patches they have seen packet data change to similar formats of the old data and this proves that they still have it.

you forgot 10: SOE plans to buy the SWGEmu code from the people coding it, and they plan to reopen servers after CH8 if they dont get enough subs, this way instead of paying SOE workers overtime to recode the Pre-CU they can just make one payment to a wanna-be developer with a god complex

oh and 11:they put that SWGEMU dev in jail for having found child pron on his computer.

lol i believe this ending is a little more exciting then the SWG dies in 08 thing

..... this is the dumbest rumor ive ever heard. You do relize that SOE still has the source code for swgprecu servers. I mean..... as a programmer i relize you never destroy any old code. its just dumb espesically when they built on it for both the nge and cu and constantly have to cross referance it when looking at bugs and updating material.

I hate constantly seeing so many people claim that they know a guy who knows a guy who told them insider information. I know a member of an emulator team who has a bacherlor of computer science and currently works as a military contractor creating protocols that interface databases around the world.

After talking to him I found out he did a post graduate internship at bioware. He told me he was a debugger for them and  that he looked over code. He said that the protocols that the teams go through to keep their projects and "insider information" secret are sooo strict that he didn't even know what game he was working on.

upon questioning him what type of game he thought bioware was working on, he said that all the code he looked at had many comments eliminated. he said that it was most likely a more futuristic game because there were Variables suggesting some form of projectile weapons such as a pistol (but he worked there three years ago so it was probably mass effect he was debugging).

I also asked if any of the other interns knew or got to know any insider information when working with development teams. He said most didn't although some did catch glimpses of what was going on, but most were kept out of the loop. And even himself who was not given any information had to sign a NDA. He said he still to this day has good friends at bioware in the programming and design departments and when he askes them about their current projects they always are very closed lipped about it saying they really cant even talk about it much to even their spouses.

Heh, was waiting for someone to play the "I have a friend who works at SOE" card to be played :D

/yawn

I live in Texas and I have a friend who has a friend that lives in Austin and date a Gal at Bioware its not SWG.

Its something better Bioware is working on FIREFLY.

At least that what my friends, friend Girl friend says.

The fact that you spell like a disgraphic person with parkensons beating his fists on a key board is all most a dead giveaway your full of crap. In addition to this the fact that the license for firefly in an mmo form was sold to multiverse over a year ago proves your full of crap.
