It does seem like the higher I level the less and less people RvR. I love keep sieges and the RvR "lakes" but it seems like the only way to get renown is to repeatedly do scenarios. When I was in OB RvR was huge and scenarios would pop up almost immediately after signing up in queue. Now I average 20-30 min waits for scenario queues and rarely anybody RvRs anymore. This is my experience on the two servers I'm on. |

LucasArts, BioWare Prepare To Announce Joint Project...Oct 21st
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 10/06/08 2:17:56 PM
It's about freakin time! I guess they were just waiting until after Force Unleashed came out so not to steal its thunder. Looking forward to it. |

I hate lfg chat systems. I never thought I'd see people actually miss waiting for hours simply to find a group to do a single quest. I love the PQ system. PQs make up about 80% of my PvE experience. That way players have a more central location for group questing. The open grouping system is one of my favorite things about the game. Instead of constantly spamming chat channels and sending tells, groups just come to you. |

The most antisocial MMO I've ever played.
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/26/08 1:30:19 PM
The game is only a week old. Good communities take time to build. The newer servers have smaller guilds and are still gradually growing. Plus people are still learning, so I think people are more focused on figuring out some of the mechanics of the game than chatting. The higher you level the more people seem to chat. I also highly recommend joining a guild. If you are destruction on Kragg server, Divine Apathy is recruiting. Send a tell to Chlamydia for invite. |

Honestly whats the point of playing Order?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/22/08 9:21:30 AM
I play destruction on Kragg server and Order seems to do fairly well in RvR. Destro tends to do better but Order at least is always giving us a challenge. Scenarios are a different story. Order is absolutely horrible in scenarios on my server. I've only lost 1 scenario and I play them all the time. I have about a 99.99% winning percentage right now lol. Like someone else said, Order seems to have less diversity played in their classes. I can't lob a choppa without hitting a freakin bright wizard. That seems to be a very popular class on my server. Can't win scenarios without heals and tanks. My black orc just has to look at a BW and they die(without heals). Order doesn't seem to work very well as a group either. They always seem scattered while destro moves as a singular unit. I've always seem to be with very good healers too. Always plenty of shamans and zealots to go around. |

The Strong and The Weak.. (class input)
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/22/08 9:08:35 AM
I've really only tried 1 class fully in PvP and PvE. Black Orc Black Orc - Similar to your experience with Chosen. Very strong in PvE. Probably the best tanking class in any game I've played since master defender jedi in SWG. Mobs can beat on me all day long without making a dent in my hit points. I have a blast in PvP with my orc as well. Doesn't seem to do as much damage as chosen but I'm always the last one standing. Most Chosen like to go with big 2h weapons while orcs wield the shield and a 1h. I'm a big fan of the shield myself. The only class that is a challenge 1vs1 is warrior priest. I fought a WP 1vs1 in RvR for about 10 min until a zealot came along to help. Probably would have gone on at least another 10 min with WP coming out on top because he could keep healing and I'm too low for my silencing ability. |

People not mindlessly yapping away in public chat channels is a good thing! There's no need for it. No need to spam "lfg" either since the game has an excellent open grouping system that most people use. |

If a KOTOR MMO is made it will have lots of Jedi. At least this time it fits with the lore unlike SWG. SW fans want to play Jedi and some people just need to get over it. |

I completely agree. If LOTRO can have a VC that works very well then why not WAR. It would make sense being such a pvp centric game. People can't always be with their guild. |

War's biggest flaw is it has no community
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/19/08 1:48:07 PM
No "chucknorris" chat is a good thing imo. That is the sign of a very good community. |

You want to know who's overpowered?

Gamestop is overpowered. Nerf Gamestop! |

Like people have already said, WoW pvp is entirely different than WAR. Someone that likes WoW pvp and is just looking for something different will more than likely hate WAR's pvp style. WoW has too many die-hards that don't want to give up their shiny epics and will never leave. |

My only experience was in OB. But I could not see any reason why people would need to buy gold in WAR. Maybe that changes past rank 20. Teamwork seemed to be a much bigger factor than gear. |

When I read some of these reviews it's like I played an entirely different game. I had no problems receiving help from other players. Was always invited to a group when entered a PQ area. No need to spam "lfg" in general chat because they have a great lfg system. No need to spend hours trying to find people for group quests. Simply walk into a PQ area and groups are already waiting for you. I really liked the community I encountered. Seemed much more mature than other MMOs. No world chat nonsense and having to see people talk about stupid crap(e.g.-chuck norris) all day long. I think the combat is very fast paced. AP regenerates rather quickly for more specials. Yes, auto-attack is very slow but when using specials it's very fast. Practically no down time in between battles. |
