Oculus has starting representing a little more in the Abyss. They are looking for good consistent seious mature players. If you resemble those remarks then apply!!!! If your current legion doesn't give you the fuzzy on the inside or a couple of you guys have been thinking that there has to be better than check out Oculus they probably have the answer. 24 hours of players (anytime any day) lvl's from upper 20's to Mid 40's... if you are outside of that still apply. Wow I can not believe how many haters their are on AION. My experience has been up and down. The first week was tough with 5 hour wait times but that was cleared up into the 2nd week on ZIKEL but I was upset that I did a pre-buy to get ahead took a day off of work and in my 1st 3 days only got 4 hours of game time :(. The bots have been cleaned out twice at least on Zikel and you see a difference for about a day. The Spamming is almost completely gone and I think that is because they made it where you can't shout until a certain level. I am a little surprised about the lvl 50 in 300 hours. I have played almost 350 hours (of course have had some time spent on another account withthe daughter) but am only at LVL 35. This game overall though has met and exceeded my expectations and I am still trying to recruit my friends over. I see a constant increase of people coming over from other games and majority are loving it.

OCULUS has now opened up their recruiting doors again. If you are: new on the ZIKEL server or joined a Legion early and don't feel it was the right fit or just doesn't seem to be growing as you do... if you and a couple of your Legionaires always find yourself looking for groups to run PvE content or Grind in the Abyss Then check out OCULUS http://oculusofaion.guildlaunch.com/index.php?gid=105311&t=3681628 They are currently 50 members deep and still growing. They are a level 3 Legion and have capacity to bring in 40 more members. Currently ranked 32 on the ZIKEL server. Character levels in the guild currently are 20 - 40. PM Cardioes, Guerrund, Vynne, Toonslayer in game but first you must have an application filled out on the Server. I love raiding (One thing differnt :P) and I've stuck with mages, rogues, and priests. I'm pretty much done with wow. @ the OP and everyone else I am technically converting from WoW, GW, and random F2P mmos to Aion on the 20th of september when the Headstart starts. People are picky of their games, and it's allowed. The reasons tend to be repeating funny comments such as: the game is too linear, the game is not innovative and don't talk about flying, and some others. The funniest was said today. No good limitation on custimization. Thats hilarious. It doesn't set right with you that your are able to customize you charecter. Lolz. I'm all for the simple presets and 16 options for custimazitions, but I got to admit the charecter creation is definitly a plus. Thats my 2 cents
Mr. Phire I thought the same thing when I read that "there is not good limiation on customization" LOL. I saw some awesome customized characters I mean from Golemn from the Hobbit to Angelina Jolie. I actually didn't spend too much time in the CB as I just wanted to get in and play but I mean you saw guys running around looking like Dwarfs to WI's that are the epitomy of Ghandalf the Grey. I was just telling my friend (who is still playing L2) that one thing I really liked is that you would never be in a situation in this game where you run into 45 guys/girls that look just like you wearing the only elite gear available and carrying the same exact armor. Another funny thing that you hear about is the "so linear" I mean with the in game customization with stygmas, enhancements, stones, topped off with color dyes I truly believe you would have a less likely chance to ever run into two Chars that even come close to being similar even if they are both the same sex, same color hair, and same char type. I can't wait LOL. |

I left L2 more for personal reasons and after a year break didn't want to go back and be a year behind. I got into a couple games after their initial launch but never lasted for a month. I did spend a lot of time in a F2P game called CABAL Online which was good as I liked the Graphics. it was a small world though not even 100k in players and was on the leader board there for a while. I have been waiting for Aion for about 1.5 years :) and can't wait for 9/22 actually 9/6, then 9/18 to get my name and then 9/20 for the two day pre-buy headstart and then for 9/22 for it to be wide open. it is so funny how excited I am about this game... As with most Open Beta's they allow keys to be released through their "media partners" and this one has already announced that members of fileplanet will have access to Open Beta Keys without necessarily pre-buying. I believe they have some other partners that they will be releasing keys through too. Good luck and see you in game :) Sukah |

I have been very impressed with this guild. The way their site is set up, the knowledge that some of the senior members will be bringing to the table from the Chinese servers, their DB's that are original and well thought through, the level of experience that the new memebers are bringing to the table and the level of maturity that is being exhibited by the leaders as well as the new members. I am sure you would be able to SOLO in this game for some time but as someone else said this game is really only best if it is being done in Groups. There seems to be a "necessary" balancing at the 18+ level in order to kill Mobs your lvl or higher. My past experience with NCSoft titles also gives you Exp bonuses for "maxed" parties and the like not for sure if they are doing that in here... they also use to give EXP penalties for significant differences in LVL's inthe same party. There use to be a rule in L2 that you didn't want to party with someone more than 3 lvls below y ou or 3 lvls above you or have a party that had more than 6 lvls between the lowest and highest. Not for sure if that was "actual" but it sure seemed to be true. |
