I'm also surprised at what appears to be low interest. I for one have been waiting for a new mech game with the playstyle of MW3 (the last great one). MW4 was so bad that I literally threw the disk in the garbage, angrily.

Hopefully this game will be like MW3 with online.

Seems like a well done game - just the variety of abilities is small in comparison - no big map either - you are just thrown right in there... items etc.. just not enough for me...

Weird how people take a game like this seriously... considering the potential if you are very skilled at it - it could net you thousands of dollars or more...

I'm a "tryhard" in LoL - we are the folks that want victory... We have more fun winning than loosing...

Those are the facts of the case and they are undisputed...

Technically it's an MMOBA (Massive Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) but, I think it counts enough to be here. As the most popular Free MMO, also an award winning very excellent, challenging game.

Why nit pick?

I love this game! More challenging than any mmo I've played. Way more fun than WoW or AO or Eve or anything of that nature...

I used to be a heavy WoW gamer but, it got to be so boring - any game where I login and see in public chat comments like "I'm bored" make me quit the game shortly after.

You'll hardly ever hear comments like that in league.

Former wow player here. I've left and come back several times since the first launch day. I get to the end game, get bored, quit, pick it back up for the expansion for a month then get bored... rinse, repeat.

The sheer production value makes each expansion worth it ... for a month... then it's the same ol' same ol'

I try the competition when a new one comes out (Rift ... ugh) and they always fail to impress.

So, now I await the next big mmorpg - I'm hoping a good sci-fi will poke it's head out soon!

So, Riot has now stated that they will release a new char every two weeks (as has been the case for quite some time now).

If you haven't played the game in a while - the game has totally changed as far as charactor balance etc.

The newest Charactor Orianna is very unique.

I highly recommend trying the game out again - unless you are a douche - there's enough of that in the game already.

I don't know how many chars there are exactly but, it's around 90!

So I just thought I would post a "hey, try it now" kind of post since so many new things have happened.

I highly recommend looking through past patche notes as well. Huge changes have happened if you haven't played in a while.

So, this is going to be considered an mmo? It's 4 player co-op I thought...

{mod edit} Thanks for speaking on the one-sided ness of this game. I hate games that completely lack balance. This sounds like one of those.

There's very limited classes to choose from, 2 of which suck in pvp = bad game to me.

erictlewis, as far as i know, i am the only Mod from WoT on MMORPG.  I came here to spread the word about WoT, to keep the non WoT players informed about new things and to try and correct/answer/explain things so all the haters dont give a bad /false image of the staff and game....  i dont even know who the heck you are or even remember talking to you on here.

 

As for the OP's concerns, as stated a numbr of times within WoT, the spotting issue will get fixes (possibly a complete fix) coming in the next patch which should be around launch... as for the Community...well, cant argue there... but what can one do aside from trying to police it and remove those bad elements, oh, but of course then were power abusive dictators once again.

 Just point out the fact how snarky your rear end just got with me.  I been reading the forums.   You can look at the one that says stay clear of this game and see how snarky you got there too, that was the one that made me decide not to give it a go.

I get you get defensive and all but when you get down right into why folks are being banned an all and out them over here,  then you sir have a problem. However in your defence folks should not be coming over here going omg i got banned.  However they do and then you feed the troll and you get snarky.  Just like you did with me.

 Addendum:  How they heck I was, was a potential customer who was reading the forums to see what the game was all about and if I wanted to give it a try. After reading the forums here I decided not to.   So that is who the heck I was.

And yes, I will be playing this game - especially if they finally balance out the American tanks a bit... I've only been playing for about a month now and already I can tell the russian tanks are too powerful - the KV is a common example

I signed up for closed beta - hope I get to join it - this game looks cool, the backstory is pretty sweet too.

yeah you shouldn't get banned on a first offense - I think they should wait until at least 3 reports come in - if you apologize and it's obvious you didn't mean to do it - many times a player will forgive.

Also work on not shooting through a team mate - if it were a real tank battle - would you risk blowing up your battlefield buddies? no... you'd wait, move, something other than potentially killing your team mates.

I disagree with the OP - they recently nerfed arty accuracy. And the reload time for the higher tiers is so long that it makes playing arty kind of boring. I don't like em. I played the tier 1  american arty and became excited because the reload time isn't so bad even with the accuracy issues but, the higher tiers are just so slow to reload - F that...

FIRE! miss... reload...read a book, watch some tv... FIRE!

I don't care for arty players however - they are basically playing "I'm too lame to do any real tank battling" kinda gamestyle.

What would be nice is if they limit how many arty can be on a team.
