I'm also in the group that thinks that RoK sucks big time. My toons are all on Najena, and it definetly feels like the server is a lot emptier than it used to be. Guild log in is really bad, with a lot of us "taking a break" Raiders in my guild have been left to join some quasi PuG/Alliance type of raiding organization. |

Get the Tainted Heals AA ability (Necro -> Manipulations) Heals your pet for 18% health for every debuff spell you cast. There is no HP transfer from you to your pet with the standard Necro pet heal spell. In the Summoner AA lines, there are some AA that also buff the defense and HPs of your pets too. I can easily solo blue Heroics, and in the right situations white con Heroics, and I have a mid 50's Necro. |

I would say that it all depends on how active you are going to be in the end-game. If you are more of a casual minded player, go ahead and roll a SK. If you are looking to get into a hardcore raiding guild, then roll something else. In my casual guild, two of our best tanks both play SKs, so it can be done and done very well with SKs. However, with that said, hardcore raiding guilds are going to already have their well equipped and played very well tanks, so you will have trouble finding a spot. |

While EQ2Flames can be quite bad at times, the "outing" threads over there do offer some rather covincing evidence of the transgressions to back up the circumstantial claims. Additionally, the corruption list doesn't stop at giving privledged information to live server guilds, and maintaining suspect relations with those guilds. It's been pointed out that one Dev before being hired as a Dev was apparently involved in the theft of an entire guild bank. (old forum posts are available to read, and now that the Devs characters name is known, it pretty much points right to him) And a Dev has been accused of trading in-game favors for RL sexual favors. (pure vitirol really at this point)

I have a lvl 52 alt Necro, who I've been solo leveling at a nice clip. I typically use an Adept III tank pet, and can take solo even con ^^^'s rather easily. What makes it easy for me is going down the 3rd and 4th AA Lines in the summoner AA tree. Bunch of Passive AA's in there that increase pet HPs and skills(defense). Then I took the AA line in the Necro tree (forgot what it's called) that has a master Passive skill that heals your pet 18% for each debuff you cast on your target. It's a free pet heal in relation to the typical Necro heal, which siphons health from you to your pet. And Necro's have like 5 or 6 spells that can be used in this way, and they recycle rather quickly too! Also having the highest spell tier for the pet defensive skill possible (Adept III, M1, or M2) helps too. |

I think the more and more that companies make player statistics available on the web, and publicly too boot, that these MMORPG population stat sites will start reporting quite fairly accurate numbers. For instance, you could simply go to http://csr.wwiionline.com/ to get a lot of stats for this campaign. For instance, going through the current top 100 sorties player list shows that the top 100 players account for 66,000 sorties out of the entire 741,000 sorties so far this campaign. That's what 11%? I think you could get a fairly accurate log-in count by unique accounts by writing a web site scrapping program that first got the top 100 killers. Search through each of their sortie lists, and record the names of any people they kill and who kills them. Make sure you keep this list on a unique basis, meaning once a name makes the list, you don't add it again. Once you go through the top 100 list, go through the list of thier kills and killers. Record any unique names you come across again. Keep repeating the process, until you get no new names. It's probably overkill, but I guess you could also add the top 100 sorties list to this process too. About the only people who will be missed by this I think would be the odd person who logs in once or twice, never makes a kill, and is killed once by another person who logs in once or twice and only makes that one kill, and is never killed himself. |

Yea, that's not going to happen on a mass level. First off, we were an air squad for the most part. A lot of the more successfull Axis pilots for one reason or another filtered in and out through our ranks. The old guard is just way too nostalic as well as burnt out on Doc. More than a few know him on a personal level from the Airwarrior days (I think that's the game). Additionnally, all of us don't like the idea of HCs based on what happened to us with the whole channel 94/93 thing and the HCs & CRS. That fact that it happened again in a similiar fashion to others once the channel 94/93 guys switched to Allies to get away from Shilling is a telling matter in giving the amount of control to players over other players, and not letting players have a choice in not letting them be controlles at all by other players. Then of course, making Shilling a Dev was the final kick in the you know where for a lot of people in our squad and who knew a lot of us. With that said, there are a handful trying to carry on the banner (mostly they weren't around in 02-03), and some of us pop in game on a couple of... cough cough... gold accounts that a bunch of us have access to... cough cough. In my case, I like to pop in every now and then to break up air camps with my old trusty bofors. |

Yeah, well for some of us, the "heyday" before HCs->Brigades->TOEs was when the game was a lot more funner. For us.... Now, all that my squad's forums are beening used for is chatting about OOT stuff, WOW chat, and organizing events in other games. And I know my squad isn't the only one that fell apart after a lot of these changes were first announced to be right around the corner about 4 years ago I think it is now. So, please forgive some of us who remember unlimited spawns, map hoping, unrestricted mission creation, and oh yeah, a lot more fights than I'm sure there are now. It's sort of a flashback moment, when we wish to ourselves to have something back that we just know isn't coming back. God, I can remember going on bombing raids where we used to have to have 2 - 3 seperate groups to keep everyone from "64"-ing out, and they still would "64" out when the fighter cover would roll on by. Lots of fun memories... oh well Enjoy WW2OL!!! |

It happens, sometimes you need to get away from this game at times. And then there is that last time you step away and never come back. I still have fond memories of WW2OL, and pop-in now and again with my squads generic account to get that once a month rush. However for a lot of us players that played years ago, it is a vastly different game (good or bad) that just doesn't cut it anymore. GL whereever you go, but don't forget about the good times, and perhaps try it out again from time to time. Oh yea almost forgot, you are so right, Allies are the only ones that cheat |

Old timer as well here. I would have to say your opinion on whether or not this game is dying totally depends on when you played, when you played the most, and when you stopped playing. There are a lot of very dedicated players playing the game at the moment, and there are fights to be found. However, it's nothing like it was several years ago. |
