How they'll keep you playing. (Adressing content and DCUO's not so hidden grind.)

DC Universe Online: Let's Hear from YOU
News Discussion « General Discussion 12/07/10 2:18:41 PM
It should be pointed out that the game is set up for use by both Keyboard / Mouse, and Gamepad. This is part of the UI/ chat issue. There is no cursor in the game. At this time you can't resize the chatbox. As for the grouping issue, most all betas I have been in were the same. I am hopeful they will fix this. |

DC Universe Online: Let's Hear from YOU
News Discussion « General Discussion 12/07/10 8:38:11 AM
I can say that the models move and feel at times the same as Champions Online characters did. I would like to see some diversity in the added content. Thinking on this; Not sure it will happen. It would mean villians doing something where Superheros can't get to! As Maziken stated they need some creativity in the missions! |

DC Universe Online: December Screens #1
News Discussion « General Discussion 12/07/10 1:32:03 AM
Well this is a Action MMO. It is different in that they had to make it playable from gamepad and Keyboard. In all the MMO's I have played you use the mouse to click with a cursor. Not In DCUO. There is no cursor in DCUO as it is! So no chatbox resizing or movement. The chat needs work that I am hopeful will get done. Grouping needs work. Most games I have Beta tested were the same in this regard. Some cool things; you might see Iconic characters in the world and often they say something to ya. If you see a opposite faction Iconic, I have heard you get puched for a mile. I had this happen to my hero when she landed in front of Lex's club. My character was hit by a guard and flew through the air, what seemed like a mile! It was awesome. No damage was done by this. The club is the in town base for Villians so is just preventing any mischief by clearing threats. Iconic locations get tokens. Finding Wayne memorial in the ally, or Rikers Island are 2 I have got. |

All i am gonna say is; if you pre ordered and sent in your proof. check your Email !!! |

Thanks for the review! I generally suck at the manager stuff. I was curious about this game though. As for the jests at the American Throwball fans; keep them coming. LOL ( btw I am a Browns fan ) |

I am a big DC fan. I am not liking the amount of armored characters I am seeing. A great majority of the created characters in the shots are armored. If I am gonna run around, and there are 1000 armored characters: I think it loses the DC feel. |

I am glad that CoX is doing this. It shows that ideas that were seemingly dead can have life. Now if they can get a new game engine and put Vehicles in the game, they will be far ahead of the compitition. |

3 choices are ok. I do hope this expands. I am not sure where my Hawkgirl homage character will fit. |

That would be Jim Lee. I agree, I don't like her looking like Super B***ch. I think that is his view of her being strong and tough. I wish he would have remembered that she is supposed to be one of the most beautiful heroes in the DCU. |

I hear ya big time. With me it was Everquest, SWG was my second MMO and the one I RPed the most in. I have also been trying to get that first game experience back. I have come to realize that it was the people I was involved with, that made it what it is. Having a blast with THEM is what made the experience so powerful, not the game. Best of luck in your Journey to recapture that fun! |

Was Everquest for me. I took more time RPing in SWG though. In fact, I stayed a extra year for just the RP. |

As a RPer I am not happy with the Arcade feel of the game so far. I will hold off any other judgements. |
