City of Heroes: Overcoming the Impossible

I am glad that CoX is doing this. It shows that ideas that were seemingly dead can have life. Now if they can get a new game engine and put Vehicles in the game, they will be far ahead of the compitition. |

3 choices are ok. I do hope this expands. I am not sure where my Hawkgirl homage character will fit. |

That would be Jim Lee. I agree, I don't like her looking like Super B***ch. I think that is his view of her being strong and tough. I wish he would have remembered that she is supposed to be one of the most beautiful heroes in the DCU. |

Yet another desperate attempt to find my role-playing fix...

I hear ya big time. With me it was Everquest, SWG was my second MMO and the one I RPed the most in. I have also been trying to get that first game experience back. I have come to realize that it was the people I was involved with, that made it what it is. Having a blast with THEM is what made the experience so powerful, not the game. Best of luck in your Journey to recapture that fun! |

Was Everquest for me. I took more time RPing in SWG though. In fact, I stayed a extra year for just the RP. |

As a RPer I am not happy with the Arcade feel of the game so far. I will hold off any other judgements. |

The next step will be a map maker program that is akin to The Sims. Maybe NC Soft could upgrade the game engine with the Hero Journey engine. From what I have heard, it has a map/ Quest editing built into it. |

Consignment House question from a returning player
Paragon City Hall (General) « City of Heroes 2/10/09 10:48:40 AM
Yeah I think it might be the crafting badges. I have someone in my SG who is almost got them all. They say it takes a incredible amount of time to get. Thanks for the insight. I never knew they sold those for that cheep. I will have to go look now. |
|

I also, will be looking at both. I am a big DC fan. I don't like SoE much at all. and I like the creativity that Cryptic has brought to past projects. I can't say that the feel, or vibe of Champions is apealling to me. Big thing for me with Champions is the Arch enemy system. DC online, from what I have seen of early clips has a odd movement to it. Hopefully they will fix that and make movement more natural. Hopefully they will follow through with the promise of being able to go to all the varried locations in the DCU. |
