 By the sound of things, it isn't going to be as deep and expansive as some people hope. From what i've seen and heard it's basically the type of game you hop in for short periods to cause some carnage, then go do something else, since it doesn't really have anything to keep all types of players in the game for hours on end.

 So in that sense you're likely to see only the truly "hardcore"(=PvP dicks) players in the game most of the time. But hey, if that's your thing then this will probably be one of the best games for it.

 Until I actually play it its all hear say thats all. From every video I have seen it looks like there will be plenty to do.

Also, GA is primarily Digital Download. They offer the CE through Amazon but didn't ditribute to stores.

 

Im just talking about MO here and their shady business practice and how they screwed everyone that tried supporting them. Sorry but isnt everyone tired of seeing imcomplete games from lieing developers? Its practices like this that will drive the MMO trend downward.

Sure ok by design its LIKE an MMO but seriosuly its a single player game and thats where the differance is. Sadly MMO's arent MMO's anymore either is becoming more like a single player game with a chat box.

They have already screwed over people. Lots of people cant even log in right now and been waiting for weeks. Charging people to play beta is just wrong too. What with the $75 price tag on this game? It's easy to blame the devs, but look at Darkfall. Darkfall never went into any details - the devs kept selling their game as the best thing since sliced bread, that's true, but how many of us actually saw any of that hype? Compared to a bigger company hyping their game, it's nothing much.

No sorry the game failed because the company once again rushed a game that was not finished. You are never going to make everyone happy. If you truly enjoy the game do yourself a favor and dont read the forums. All forums are breeding ground for negativity and measing of E peens nothing more.

Companies that continue to rush a product all head down the same path and its not a theory. The fact remains it is a proven formula to loss. You can point the finger all day but it all comes down to the people making the game. Darkfall just the way the were  selling their product was so ass backwards.

So its my fault that Mark Jacobs is no longer at Mythic? So its my fault Brad McQuaid no longer runs Vanguard? So its my fault that The Matrix was a huge turd and shut down? So its my fault Darkfall cant pull its own head of its ass?

Sorry but the OP is way off base. We are killing it? I think developers who over hype their game and then release a unfinished game our fault? Is it our fault there is no creativity no more just cookie cutter MMO's out there? In a time when people are losing their jobs and homes you better deliver what you promise. The problem is developers seem to think building off already proven ideas is where it is at.  Companies are too scared to take risks and try different things out there. This is much like Hollywoood's problem of just doing relaunches of old material. This is the same thing happening in the MMO industry.

Hate to break it to ya but theres not much out there you havent tried except for maybe vanguard. TBH the only game worth waiting for right now is Secret Worlds, Champions Online, DC Universe or SWTOR. Im in the same boat as you and I just left Warhammer due to the same crap day in and day out.

Think its a little too late now for FC. They burned alot of people during launch and I dont think anyone really even wants to give them a chance anymore. I did love the graphics in this game very much but the butchering of class balance they did was just bad. Tanks couldnt even tank lol. I may give it a try though Id rather resub a month and give it a go than try the lame 7 dial trial. Its good for new players though.

Have they even fixed the performance of the game? Game looked like crap and ran like crap.

One word      VANGUARD 

Do we really want to see another one of those? Let Funcom take their time and make a working MMO.
