I'm curious to see what changed about pvp and trading to convince even a handful of servers to riot. It's not a good idea to turn upside a playstyle people are used to. If that's what happened Jagex should just change things back. Hopefully this is a legitimate complaint unlike the way people whine about the game going 3D...

Usualy only used by players who spend thousands of dollars a month on cash shop items to sell in game for 30 to 100 million in in-game money. basicly the only way you'll ever get past the first class promotion is if your willing to spend 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the next 4 years or so playing the game.

i'll admit maybe some stale jokes -.- but GM's are active and the game gets weekly content.

and i didn't play 24/7 to get 2nd job change, you just don't know how to play video game my non-friend, and in this world that... is very sad.

I don't consider it an interuption. You misread me, I said that "many" consider it.

And you also misread my intentions. PvP isn't an interuption to PvE, unless you are doing something in the PvE side and are forced into PvP.

And yes, I did already know that about Darkfall.

You seem to know a lot about my playstyle, yet, I have never impied anything about it... I simply post in this thread to encourage discussion and debate.

The OP created a topic that was very pointed, combative, and with a biased poll. I'm simply trying to show an alternate perspective, and thus encourage healthy debate. Also, I'm bored at work :)

I am not trying to be combatitve and rude, but receive much of it in response to my postings. That's fine by me, it only further adds to the stigma that FFA PvP / Darkfall fanbois are really just @sshat gankers.

Am I saying that all Darkfall fanbois are? No, of course not. You are making that point for me.

There are plenty who are excited for Darkfall so they can form great and noble guilds, conquering lands and keeping their charges safe from bandits and other enemies (i.e. @sshat gankers)

Even using the term "carebear" in the way you do, and many on this forum including the OP do, makes you sound.. rather childish...

Attack the posters arguement, not the poster.

Anyway.. back to something on topic... The big question I have is: will be if you can advance your character 100% through PvP in Darkfall. That is, will you be able to advance your RPG skills by fighting exclusively with players? Obviously you can make money and gear etc. from looting others that you kill, but will you advance your skills through PvP?

Nice try, Pal.  PvPers having been jacking up PvE games for the last ten years.  Kinda sucks doesn't it to have someone stepping on your playground?  Trust me, in the end the PvE crowd will get their own servers (or at least servers with alternative rule sets) or this bad boy will be self-published. OP, I can tell you've never worked for a PR firm.  That poll is so biased it bleeds written by a Darkfall dev.

 

oh really. if it's your playground why are you complaining about the concept of pvp. because it has pretty graphics so it should change it's whole design to cater to pve only? darkfall itself wouldn't work. there will be no pve server period. YOU are wrong.   if you can't handle it go somewhere else.

You will have enemies everywhere, and will have a hard time finding a safe city to sell/buy in. Also keep in mind that Darkfall is a very harsh world, deep into the dark ages and then some. That is your opinion.  With one ruleset, it will end up having the same subscriber base as Dark and Light.  We'll discuss this again IF this game ever launches.
