Everywhere I read says Diablo 3 all over it.

Ok, so anyone saying anything about waiting hours for people to complete a dungeon is dumb. True, 90% of MMO's are that shallow to only have a single dungeon for a certain level range. But, a smart MMO would have a lot of dungeons for all level ranges. Not just a single one where everyone has to wait and get camped.

Instances are noob. A real MMO has a large world and is seamless. Before anyone starts to say anything about ohh dur what about a small world with lots of detail. Well, this is where it comes down to having a company with enough money to make something unique that works, than a lot of companies making the same damn thing that fails every time.

Stupid rant with no idea of how expensive content is. Even the richest company would not afford to build so many dungeons. There are a few THOUSAND people on each shard of a standard MMO at any time. Do you think they can build HUNDREDS of dungeons? You are dreaming. Not even blizzard can afford that.

Then don't go into the market. How many game companies wished they wouldn't have? Blizzard could easily do that, if there's any stupid rant it's what you just said there. Look how many games their working on, and how many people they have on their teams. They could easily make a game with hundreds of dungeons. So tell me, aside from the salary every employee gets anyway, how much extra does content cost? It's whether the content is junk or not.

I tried it. It's too bad you gotta go through 10 loading screens just to make it through town.

I guess it sounds decent.

This kind of game can only really be enjoyed on PC I think. I guess a console version wouldn't be so bad, but they said no zoom out isometric view? Makes it kind of claustrophobic for an RPG like this.

It sounds cool though, I didn't really read anything that said this game was non-linear or not though?

Yeah, same as everyone else said. Tons of instances, and probably loading screens. EQ2 was gross because you couldn't even go through a whole town without 6 different loading screens.

There's no way everyone is going to have unique "stories" and tons of voice overs without instances and crap. As much as everyone is hoping TOR is going to be the Star Wars saviour, it most likely will not.

Ok, so if you complain about slow people ahead of you, then I'm going to complain about patience. How come we don't have patience anymore? MMO's are about social experiences as well. Maybe the devs should make more than 1 dungeon for level ranges, and make then all unique but equal. Games that make many places to quest, but make one of those areas uber to the rest then yeah, it's going to be crowded. If your going to spend millions on an MMO why complain about resources when your already spending enough; might as well keep taking out loans or finding investors. Or just don't get into the market at all, it's risky business.

Database error as well.

so the giant schlong post is breaking the nda? lol

The only thing we know about this game is the avatar's have huge shlong's. And that isn't saying much.

so slow, i guess i'll see you all in a month or so.

Ok... 1vs1 is hardly epic... But what the hell is up with your music? lol. It sounds like an anime cheerleading squad. Seriously. My wife, who was in the kitchen, actually had to check to see what the hell I was doing when that came on, and it was only compounded once the singing started... Sorry, didn't finish the video.

eh, i guess your not so far off. it's pretty close to the first whole song that they play in F&F:Tokyo Drift; the girls singing are japanese... and that's just plain how japanese girls sound when they sing english.

planetside was fun, what's with all the hate?

To OP , to get anywhere in l2  , prepare yourself for thousands hours of hardcore exp . Not to say if you plan to become a factor , in olympiads for example , prepare for dozens of thousands hours  of hardcore exp + a good clan .

They have the Vit system now. Grinding isn't even that big of an issue anymore. Although it does get tough in higher lvls, as with any game.

Help plz

Yeah, people from EU can play on US servers and vice versa.

I agree with Korv.  Raids, Kama, and XP groups are fun. I'm also running into random people and making friends. Once you get to Dion and farther things get better.

You definitely gotta be social though if you want to make friends and get into the good stuff.

the star wars universe does have more to it than just jedi vs. sith.

i also think it's pretty stupid not to have a neutral faction. cuz i mean, no one in star wars ever changes their mind or anything.

am playing on phoenix and it's really lively. i havn't played since 2004 and it's still doing good.

i have a lv34 warrior now and been doing 35 raids. it's really fun with a cool group of people. kama is sweet too, minus the ninja looters, but you'll have that.

i'm havin a blast. there seems to actually be a lot to do.
