I quit GW2 and so did my GF because we were both utterly bored to tears.
The only thing they give a crap about is that stupid living story.
A MMO that has been out this long should have had at least ONE new bloody class by now and an expansion!
What does GW2 have after all this time? Nothing. Just a million new items in their cash shop.
Thinking about coming back, need your input.

Honestly just give it a shot, you'll probably like what you find.
14 dollars isn't going to make or break you obviously if you can afford the new xpac so sub for a month and check it out :)
Start a fresh toon, and level him through all the old new again zones, and if you get bored and just want to get to 90 to experience the new WOD content use your free character boost to 90 you get and check it out :)
It's still the best on the market regardless of what people on here are going to say. (Your really coming to the most toxic board on earth for an honest opinion on WoW cuase they still think its cool to hate WoW here).
I left at WOTLK and came back in MOP and I was very pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed the game again :)

Blizzard and 7.4 MILLION other people are laughing at you.
So much for your fail2play prediction.

Yet here you are sniveling on a site dedicated to MMO's
AA: Full of hacks, exploits, bots and scams and its a fail2play game so tons of parasites in game
FF ARR: One of the best Themepark games ever made with 2.5 million subs and counting.
This isn't a hard call.
Play Garbage (AA) or play something good.
Dungeons & Dragons Online :)
Review - Hearthstone is a heavy P2W game!

I love how you pull these 3 mythical points out of thin air when he said there is still 100's of thousands of people playing WS.
Sounds more like your just mad its not going Fail2play
And yes he pretty much DID dismiss Fail2play out of hand by saying its not designed for it and they don't see it as a solution.

Hate to tell you this, actually no I don't, theres an interview from yesterday on Massively with Donatelli. They aren't going F2P so you can deflate your hopes now :)

1. Look up the word "generic" and you will find WildStar.
2. The God awful level grinding that is mind numbingly boring. Go get 8 of this, go collect 5 of that etc
3. The classes. They aren't much fun.
4. I've played WoW, this is just WoW in space with lazers instead of casting fireballs.
1. The art style. I actually didn't mind it, and love it or hate it you can't' crucify Carbine for trying to be different!
2. The FPS and performance was good, although I have a pretty beasty RIG. No problems for me here. Avg FPS is about 45-50
I don't think the future for this game is very bright. We already had a WoW clone that came along and made end game raiding its thing, and even went above and beyond anything WS does in the way of dynamic events such as zone invasions, world invasions etc, it was called RIFT.
It didn't stop RIFT going F2P, and it had alot more going for it then WS.
Have your played WoW? Then you've played WS.
Its a wow clone, and not a good one.
Taking a break, will return if the following things change

WildStar as a sub MMO isn't going to last, and the reasons are extremely simple. Some are in denial, some are fanboys, whatever it doesnt matter but heres the short version of facts IMO
Its a WoW clone. The questing is god awful at best. It's just a mind numbing "go collect X and go turn on that" quest hub grind.
The dungeons are harder and so are the raids, but other then turning up the NPC's dmg and health to make it twice as hard there is zero innovation in game.
The PVP is good, but its not good enough to save this game.
IF anyone cares to disagree i point to RIFT. The last WoW clone Raiding endgame MMO. It had ALOT more going for it then WS did with dynamic events, zone invasions and world invasions and raids that were actually quite hard (I still have nighmares about Infernal Dawn) and they put out MORE CONTENT then any MMO in history to date, and that still couldn't save it going Fail to play.
WS is heading the same way.
Unless you have a beast of gaming rig I strongly suggest you try and get a buddy key before you buy this game .

Not sure what the problem on your end might be.
I checked mine and my rig is about 3+ years old now, running a quad core 1.7ghz intel set with a nvidia 580 and 25 gig of ram and my my FPS never goes below 33. Most times its just sits at 59 easy.

Well i'm not going to say don't go and play it, just be aware of what you are getting into when you plunk down all your cash for the box and one month sub.
Its a WoW clone (I hate using that term becuase its cliche and wow is a clone of EQ etc etc) but its the biggest WoW clone since RIFT.
RIFT at least has/had dynamic events in the form of rifts/zone invasions & world invasions. WS doesn't even have this. Its a treadmill themepark game through and through.
Now if you like that type of game I would highly recommend it. But if your burned out on that kind of quest hub/themepark game I would just advise caution because that is exactly what your getting here.
Also keep in mind RIFT had everything WS had at launch. Great dungeons, Raids, and even dynamic events and a smoother launch and pushed out more content faster then any MMO to date (which is exactly what Carbine is promising) and it didnt stop RIFT from going F2P
ps: I really liked that art style on WS. Its kind of funky and weird but still cool.
I have to admit that most times I never buy into the hype and jump on the bandwagon for new MMO's.
But I did get excited about WS, and bought the game and subbed in to try it!
Unfortunately, from what I have experienced, I literally force myself to log in and play. Why?
Unfortunately it feels EXACTLY like WoW when it comes to questing. Its a mind numbing grind. Go to person X, gather quests and run around picking up this or that or turning on beacons etc etc. Yawn. The questing in this game is in a word, terrible. Its been done before, and alot better. So that kind of wears on you.
This was probably the biggest killer for me. I know this is JUST ME but I found none of the classes seem fun. They are just ho-hum classes that instead of shooting spells your shooting lazers.
The combat system they have, the telegraphing part, that i will give Carbine props for. I mean hey, they tried something different and that is awesome! But... it gets old fast rolling around and trying not to stand in yellow square of this and red tube of that.
Ok yeah, they are harder, but umm... whoopee. Nothing is being down here that hasn't been done here before for the last 15 years besides the telegraphing again. So yeah, they are hard! But.. a dungeons a dungeons a dungeon.
RAIDS: See review on dungeons above ^ Nothing new here except they are really hard.
I don't like free to play games, so what i'm about to say I was hoping I wouldn't say and i'm usually not down trodden on games like this, but this game in my opinion has nothing to keep it from going free to play.
Its boring, its a total "been there, done that" feeling when you play, and you just feel like your playing a very boring version of WoW with lazers and bright lights all over the place.
I hope it succeeds but I have already cancelled my sub.
"Enhancing current tiers of loot won’t happen monthly but a low power curve increase can be expected from expansions or very big content updates"
You were all lied to. Conveniently after initial sales of course.
Lets see how long it takes one of the fanboi mods to ban this thread.
