So I've been playing a particular game for quite a while and enjoying it alot. This game has been getting alot of mention and alot of people dissing it, saying that it's a fail game, and they feel cheated from the developers. However, finding that these people with drastic differences in opinion to my own, post things that are contrary to my own perspective. This taints the gainful knowledge that I may obtain for what games would suit my preferences. It behooves me to bypass their opinion and look to others that share the same preferences as my own.

So I find that if a person decides that the games I enjoy, are not enjoyable, than why would their perspective on future games match my preference?

I do feel disappointed at this conclusion, as I've felt that many of these people offer their opinions in a valid manner. However that does not change the fact that I don't want to miss out on games I may enjoy just because someone that has a different set of likes and dislikes posted negatively on it.

Note: This thread is about being selective on reveiws and impressions, NOT what game I like or dislike.

Only seeing things from your POV or from likeminded people is how wars start in the real world. World War 2 and Hitler is a great example of this. He blamed the Jews for everything wrong with the world and anyone that did not share this view was exiled out of the country or sent to concentration camps.

This is an idiotic view that is for close minded nieve people that don't have the mental maturity to learn from others or listen to the outside world that doesn't exist in their little bubble.

Maybe they are just thinning out the herd on projects like LOTRO and DDO so they can allocate more resources to their new Harry Potter MMO?

Add to that the fact that TITAN is going to be sub based and crush everything on the market when it arrives and you think sub-based is dead. lol.

well i'm laughing at you now, because only one mmo can maintain subs every other mmo has gone f2p..that is one mmo out of dozens and dozens. you don't know anything about titan or whether it will be sub based or f2p, but the fanboi is strong in you. you think a game that you know nothing about will crush everything..can i borrow your crystal ball please?

WoW is sub based and the most successful MMO in history. Subs are not dead. Deal with it.

Any game with 10 million payed subscribers 8 yrs later is not going F2P or B2P anytime in the near or far future.

Btw your facts are completely wrong. Blizzard has announced no less then THREE more expansions for WoW.

Its not losing subs, its already back up to 10 million.

I was right up with him to the point where he said that SWTOR is going to be dominate force for a long time. It made me question everything he said before and if he knows what he is talking about.

well, the way i see it.

Smed was looking at the current crop of mmo's the latest big one called SWTOR, and saw how it turned out.

and then looked over and saw how Guild Wars 2 turned out.

somewhere along the line he must have went into his office and lit the drawing board on fire telling his team to start over.

Until it dawned on him that WoW still has 10 million subs and people are leaving GW2 left right and centre because of no endgame.

 

 

 

 

OP: I'm sorry but back in the real world, you are 100% wrong.

WoW has 10 million subs and is still the most successful mmo ever made.

It has lost more subs then most mmo's ever dream of having (even f2p ones) and still has 10 million to spare 8 yrs later.

Absolutely not.

Anets response to issues and bugs is terrible & there is no endgame to keep me playing.

And no exploring maps and pvp is not endgame.
