Increasing Tab Targetting Distance
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/17/08 10:19:17 PM
Is there anyway to increase my tab target distance in WAR? It only seems to target out around 40 feet in RVR |

On paper that sounds like a Red Mage or Dark Knight from FFXI or a Shaman from WoW. The sad reality is though Red Mages and Shaman spend the end game of their respective games as healer/support classes, and Dark Knights rarely cast their elemental spells since the damage is subpar. Maybe something like Blue Mage from FFXI, but it could take awhile to unlock it and learn all the spells you want.
PS. The "Mage Knight" kind of archetype is my preferred class too. |

Probably 'Classic' Ultima Online, but that doesn't really exist anymore legally. |

Final Fantasy XI: Correspondent: Quests for the Gil Seeker
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 8/29/08 10:53:17 AM
"Fortunately, there are ways of getting a good amount of gil without having a level 75 job to collect tree cuttings from Elder Goobbue in The Sanctuary of Zi'tah."
Unfortunately the for Southern San d'Oria (S) quests you will need to around the 50-75 range to even get there and kill the mobs in WotG areas. For the other 2 quests you'll probably want to be in the 25-35 range to solo in those areas. Might want to recommend people subjob Thief for the item collecting repeatables. Personally I would have listed quests like the 4x Flint Stones, 3x Rabbit Hides, and 2x Bat Wings for newbies starting out in San d'Oria. Though they might make a little more money on the AH, they are great for raising your national fame level, and the mobs have really great drop rates even without having Treasure Hunter skill. |

Vista here and I get CTDs every 40 to 60 minutes. If its due to low resources or something then XP should be better since the sys requirements are lower. On Vista Ihe longest time between crashes (about 2 to 3 hrs) has been on Todbringer assuming because it has the lowest pop atm = less ppl zerging around the newbie zones. |

Best Pirate/Age of sail game you've played?
General Discussion « Pirates of the Burning Sea 8/01/08 11:33:46 AM
I loved the Uncharted Waters series, especially New Horizons on the SNES. I think Mercator was my favorite character. Since his quest was so open I would do a little bit of everything, trading, fighting, discoveries, ect. |

I realize this topic is 5 months old, but I'll reply encase someone needs info on pre-paid cards.
CoH has pre-paid cards since around launch, they were $30 for 60 days, though around the time of the Good Vs Evil pack I stopped seeing them at my local EB/Gamestop. I have seen some at Circuit City for $20, but they are only 30 day cards, and thats a ripoff. Recently I saw an advertisement for them at Target, but I haven't noticed them at my area store. |

I'm looking for an MMO which probably doesn't exist
LFGame « General Discussion 7/04/08 7:37:10 PM
Could just play a WoW PVE or RPPVE server, not all of them are PVP servers.
Edit: Also the City of Heroes/Villians is pretty much PVE oriented, they are some PVP zones, but you aren't required to visit them. Soloing is possible, though certain classes are better at it than most, its extremely easy to find a group in it as well, with some high lvl raids and taskforces.
Double Edit: By your Xfire though seems like you know about CoH... |

Need help. Can't access expansion places on PC
The Airship (General) « Final Fantasy XI 11/15/07 10:43:20 AM
Even though you own the 360 expansion and have enabled the content IDs, the fact is you don't have the data for them on your PC. Even if you patch all the way up it will not give you the data to expansion specific areas. As to where you can find the PC expansion data, I don't know off the top of my head, you can probably just search around for it on the net... ...or if you know someone with the Anniversary Edition you can get all the data from their DVD (I've loaned mine out to all my friends on PS2 and 360). |

I bought the 2007 set something not right
The Airship (General) « Final Fantasy XI 9/22/07 12:10:30 AM
You must make sure you open the DVD in explorer mode and install the actual FFXI game and the expansions. They don't autorun install on vista like they do on xp. Make sure you see the installation of the base game, Rise of Zilart, Chains of Promathia, and Treasures of Aht Urhgan (aka you have to go through 4 different installs plus the Play Online Viewer for vista you D/Led off the SE website). |
