Yeah thats why he said to install it twice. Once to to the upgrade then the 2nd time to to the clean install. Wish you ould just do it once with the clean install. lol

Well I guess we will have to see what happens.  I was excited about War for a while  until I watched this video of the developers saying they are taking out all the "boring" stuff in MMO's. All the boring stuff they said they were taking out I actually like.  Like dmg to weapons and armor and he said other things that I can't remember.

 

While I do think it will be a sucsessful game, its just not my cup of tea..  I think WoW is just to big of a beast to be taken down at this time, I dont think war will take enough subscriptions to even effect the game.   With the new Seige content coming with Lich King im sure a lot of people are thinking " Why should I buy a new game and have to LVL up my Character to do some siege  stuff when I can just buy the Lich King and just lvl 10 more lvls and then siege." 

Also some people might have to upgrade there computers to get War  running as well as WoW does at max settings. Plus there is said to be a slight graphics upgrade to WoW with the expansion.

But for all of those who are still looking forward to this game, have fun when it comes out. I hope this game does turn out to be the game for people that are the lonely drifters of the MMORPG world.  

 

I have a feeling we'll get a good chunk of WoW's PvPers though...And this game will definitely be more than just the 'drifters'.

It could posibly happen, I guess time will only tell.

Well all in all more memory the better, especially for Vista and with ram being stupid cheap right now might as well get more.. 32bit os's can only read 3.25 gigs of ram so that Ive heard.  But if you want your ram to still be in dual channel you will need to get 2x 512 sticks of ram thats if your mobo have 4 slots.  If you have 64 bit vista I would just get 4 gigs total get another 2 gig stick if you have already have 1      2  gig stick.   Or 2x 1gig sticks to keep the dual channel.

Very interesting, but if War out sells Litch King  a lot of people will keep playing it  others will not like it go back to WoW.   While the rest will sit back and buy the Lich King and sit back and be glad they didnt waste money on War.

I played WoW from 05-07 off and on about 11 months total cuz I was jumping from MMO to MMO with other friends.  Didnt like the cartoon style of wow at first, now I play it again cuz a few cousins started to play about a year ago. The funny thing is Ive come to the conclusion  that WoW is the best all around  MMO out there IMHO. 

1.  IT  runs well on my old 3gz P4 with a gig of Ram and and x800gto.  I do plan on building a new  sometime after september.

2. Its has a open World, I can pretty much get to anywhere I see. Dungeon instances are fine with me cuz they take like 1 second to load on my Raptor.  I usually am the last one to enter a instance cuz I dont want to be a lonely rogue chilling in front of elites and get ate for breakfast.

3. The cartoony graphics have grown on me, I like the style of the characters and the animations are smooth.

4. Ton of people play so Its pretty much easy to find a party whenever.

5. Is just a fun game to play, Ive play a lot of MMO's in my time this is the only other game besides FFXI to hold my attention more than a few months. Its just I wanted to find something with better graphics, so I guess gameplay is better than Eye candy.

Im sure thats why a lot of people play it, yeah I did like some aspects of other games better but either not many people played or it just ran like crap on my computer no matter what I did.  Thats why I say WoW is the best all around out there. 

Haters say what you want, thats cool, everyone does have there own personal preferences.

Well your in luck, the new engine is supposed to come out sometime this year.  Well that was last I heard but that was a few months ago.

My prediction is Bioware is going to make a great MMO but SWG vets most likely wont like it.  ITs not going to be anything like the old SWG besides that its in the SW universe.   I will give it a try cuz Bioware has to be my  all time favorite rpg devoloper . I have not been disappointed in anygame Ive bought from them. 

Well if WoW is copying War then War is copying LOTRO. THey have achivements also.

LOL Nanos in AoC....... Yeah like dude said it could have been made using photoshop.   But AO will become a back up MMO once the new engine comes out , loved that game.

FFXI, I liked the Classes in the game and the fact that it was pretty much impossible to lvl up solo. I love games where you have to group  a lot.

They will have it finish by the time its released for the 360...       I think they shouldn't have even made Conan and stuck with a Sci-fi mmo.  AO was a sweet game IMO.

Even if people stop playing there are still more than plenty of people that do play. I think WoW could go on forever if they keep the content flowing and do a graphics upgrade.  Seriously people still play UO it was released 10 years ago. 

I just recently started playing again and im sure there will be more new players to join and old players to come back.

Yeah I would go with Sapphire also. thats what my x800 its been pretty much OC all the time since Ive had it and its still running like a champ........ Im building a new comptuer also here soon so I can finally make the jump to PCI -e .

Well the problem is I really can't look for a job at the moment its a situation to I don't wish to discuss about but soon I will be able to look.  I just need something to keep me occupied untill I can get a job. .... I would do  the free trial but It would be nice to have my old characters back.

for WoW.....   Ive been jumping from many F2P mmos for awhile now and I just got word that a few of my cousins are playing WoW  and I want to play again.  I was hoping that Blizzard was doing some promotion to get old players back again by giving them some free time.  The reason why I just dont pay the 15 bucks is cuz I dont have 15 bucks atm....

Yeah I know its lamesauce  but Im in between jobs and I have 0 funds right now and I'm hella bored. I have money for eveything else but I just dont have it for entertainmet right now but soon hopfully that will change soon .lol  Does anyone know of anything that can help me out?

It would be cool to have an MMO in the world of Diablo, though.  It's just that blizzard doesn't seem to be original enough to make it good.  It would make a lot of money, but mainly because blizzard would do what was popular rather than what was good.  Like what they did with WoW.

They could have made the Starcraft MMO different than WoW. They would have used a different graphics engine atleast Id hope. They would not have had the same races or classes as WoW and it would not be set in the same Universe.  So IDK why they wouldnt have done it.

I was really excited about that Starcraft shooter that never came out or if it did I never heard about it.  It looked bomb, really nice graphics for the time.
