We know that Blizzard is making it. And Blizzard is the King of CGI cutscenes.

 

I believe Square enix holds that title. The Pandaria introduction looked like a generic pixar ad #100.

I send SE holding the title for cutscenes.       I liked TSW voice acting better than TOR I guess it comes down to personal preference. 

I still have mixed feelings about the game. The only thing Im not liking is there is little to no positive player interaction with strangers.  Just about every video I've seen people don't even try to talk they just kill other players.   Yeah its a dog eat dog world but, I'd like to believe not everyone would be murdering jackwagons.

 I'm sure I'm not the only person out there that would like to group up with friends they've made online.  Maybe it would be better to make friends out of game so you can group up. There would still be a chance of getting back stabbed of course which ads to the excitment.  

I know this isn't a RPG but you can still role play your character, and that aspect is missing in most of the latest MMORPG's.. People jsut kill stuff and don't really get in character which imo is one of the best parts of playing a game where its possible.

Well it is a Role Playing Game, why not?

Probably FFXI, I played it for 3 years. I started off knowing about 10 people in real life who played it and kept on playing for another 2 years with out them.  While it wasn't my first MMO its the one I played the longest. 

I'm going to lay down the stright up truth.  Most people do NOT like forced grouping, I like to group up but if a game does not require it the whole time chances are I won't group up unless I have to.  If you can solo stuff why spend the time to gather a group right?

My fave game is still FFXI because to get levels at a decently quick level you have to group up.  I loved that game because parties would last 3 or so hours at the least, not just some 30 minute zerg through a dungeon.  Obviously there are enough people playing FFXI to keep  it from closing or going F2P, so why isn't there a company making more games like it.. Oh thats right everyone is trying to be the next WoW.

FFXIV should have just been an upgraded XI forced grouping and all, I would have been playing it still. Devs need to quit trying to be the next WoW and make a good forced grouping and or quality sandbox game. While they might not make milions upon billions but if they do it right they will make a game that is enjoyable for the few and still make money. 

FFXIV didn't fail because it was forced grouping, it failed because people thought it was gonna be like XI but better and it was nothing like XI. I really hope a realm reborn will be a step in the right direction, because I don't see my self playing anything else besides Neverwinter until ArcheAge comes out.

On my current set-up using Windows 8 Release Preview, every single game that I play has received a bump in framerate, not a loss.  Sure, they made a few changes to the GUI.  Most of the complaints regarding these changes, and the "Metro" system (which I forget the name of in it's current state), are the same arguments people made against windows.  "Why would I want to use this user interface when I could just type a command way faster?"

 

TL;DR

Windows 8 is Windows again, with more optimizations and a few changes to modernize the OS.  People will adapt and stop complaining about it in due time.

^^^ THIS..... Most people hate change, but I embrace it. I get tired of hearing metro sucks. Oh no it takes a whole second to click on the desktop icon or type desktop and boom your in the old school windows desktop.  You got 2 OS's build into one, I personally digg the idea especially for laptops that have a detachable screen which most made for Win 8 will have. 

I have played a few games on win 8 but my cousin has been using it exclusivly for a while now and every game he plays has worked fine.. GW2, WoW blah blah blah, so I'm guessing most games made in tha last 10 years  or so would work fine.. People are just bugging out

I disagree. In other MMOs you can be better than other players by obtaining the best gear and being able to accomplish things that are not possible for them. I want recognition, I want to be known as one of the best in some catagory. This game does not offer that, the game has absolutely no purpose at all. There is no benefit to being level 80 when you could just be level 10. This game is really confusing and it isn't looking like it will have a bright future.

Your skill in combat is how you determine how you are better than others.  Who cares if anyone can run a dungeon a million times to get some super rare piece of armor or what not.  What is so hard and or special about that?

Well.... because 2 days is deemed long enough to get you hooked, and short enough for you to not get bored.

I don't think people really understanding what im getting at.  I'm not wanting a free game I have already preorded the game, I just would like to be able to partake in the beta tests but I don't really play video games on the weekends.I got to play GW2 for 2 hours that I squeezed in.   Ok how about this idea then.

Companies start holding beta privews that last a week long but as soon as you log in you have 72 hours to play the game. That way everyone can enjoy the game on their own times not be forced to only play on the weekends.  My best time to play video games would be Tue - Thursday, that is basically my "Weekend".
