Seriously. Inferno is supposed to be HARD, Nobody should have beat inferno in the first year, much less the first month. But here comes an army of WoWtards, who are already responsible for destroying the mmorpg genre, whining out of their asses about how they can't faceroll through the hardest difficulty level. WAHHH it's too hard nerf this and nerf that NOW. Waaahhhh gimme gear NOW!
What does Blizzard do? Nerf everything and make the game boringly easy. The WoWtards have been appeased, and now the game sucks. Whiny little brats. Seriously who the !@#$ would pay to play World of Warcraft? The ultimate nub game. |

I'm in the hurricane right now weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! The eye should be coming through here in a few hours, things are getting pretty sketchy. Be safe everyone who is in Sandy's path. Was in a category 5 in NC many years ago as a child. Like a poster above already said, hurricanes are serious business. Be prepared. |

Maybe I just like Funcom games. Name one company that makes better games in the mmo world.
Am I being an "edgy underdog"?
"certain types"

Originally posted by Scalpless I agree about AO, that's why I have to say I'm talking about the Ao of old. You need people to enjoy AO. The whole structure of AO revolves around there being a lot of people playing. Land control, the war, the ever-evolving story revolved around people. AO was the first, and hopefully not last, mmo where the community (not just you as the "hero") was actively involved in the story. You could vote, could have protests, ect ect that would make an actual change in the game world. It felt like an ever changing world, and felt like you could possibly make a dent in what went on. |

Originally posted by Robokapp Really? Because every game of theirs I play has a strong, very nice, and very mature community. I've made more friends in Funcom games than I have in any other games, and I've dabbled in almost every mmo. |

Anarchy Online is still the best mmo I've ever played. Maybe the best video/computer game I've ever played. 2001-2004 AO I'm talking about. When you read threads about what mmorpgs should be, you think "that was AO!!!!"
Age of Conan is awesome. Put failcom logos as your avatar all you want, but AoC has it all. Mature community, depth, hundreds of skill points you can apply to your character when you level, fun combat (way more visceral and action packed than the wanna be console games like tera or RaiderZ). If you want console level action combat check out DC Universe, Vindictus, or PSO2. PSO2 is beyond awesome btw. Awesome soundtrack. Very dark fantasy world, no bubbly fat animal people like in tera or gw2. AoC reminds of 80s style DnD - gritty. The Sercret World is also pretty amazing. People asked for something different and Funcom delivered. Sure, it's not perfect, but it's different. TSW makes you think. An mmo that makes you use your brain?? What is this 1999??? Funcom, imo, makes the best mmos. They have 3, and they are all awesome.

SWTOR has the best music of any MMORPG .. the game had problems but the music sure as hell didn't
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 10/27/12 4:23:37 PM
Glad to see so many people here like AoC music as much as me.
Music is somewhat overlooked, and can sometimes make or break a gameplay experience.
I remember really liking Warhammer, but couldn't stand the music. It sounded like someone was banging pots and pans together in the backround, and it was that same music for almost every zone. It was so bad that I didn't even want to log in after awhile. |

Originally posted by bubaluba Age of Conan, Anarchy Online, and LoTRO has swtor beat in all of those categories imo. Swtor did have some pretty good music though. I found the stories in SWTOR to be pretty bad really, and full of eye-roll moments. Not trying to troll, but the stories is SWTOR seem to be geared towards an early teenage crowd. The leveling - well I dunno, couldn't even force myself to get past level 42 it was so bland. |

The developer's need to feed their families ect. 2. Anything with a minstrel. 3. Brandywine last time I played. 4. Race doesn't really matter. The prettiest race is dwarves by far. Lotro dwarves are probably the sexiest race in any game ever. just thinking about them gives me a raging boner. |

Hi there, just loking for a f2p game that has instanced pvp and pvp zones similar to WoW/WAR/RIFT ect ect. WOuld like to roll a rogue type class if possible and be able to run into others while questing and be able to "gank", and of course get ganked. Also looking for instanced pvp battlegrounds as well. I don't want to put a lot of time into this type of game so really couldn't care less about the endgame. Just want something that offers pvp right off the bat, or at least soon after starting. I tried RoM last night but played for 2 hours and didn't see another player. Was going to try Allods tonight, but it looks like you have to get to level 23 before you can do any sort of pvp. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Any suggestions? |

Give up. Seriously. Playing Anarchy Online, Asheron's Call, hell even PSO. That's all done. Remember when PC games made you think. Like really think? PC games were for the smart people, sans diablo and warcraft of course. Deep, mentally engaging games that only a few understood. Remember being a nerd was actually an insult? It didn't just mean you were some tight pants, hard rimed glasses wearing poser? Being a "nerd" was not a trendy term, it was what you got called by the jocks as a serious insult. YOu could be a pussy and take it for what it was, or wear it as a badge of honor and find ingenious ways to have sex with their sisters/mothers/girlfriends. Remember when you played an mmo in 1999 and thought "man I wonder what these games will be like in 10 years"? Did you picture pandas? Did you picture a mindless pvp zerg gw2 grind? Did you picture psuedo pedophlia mixed with wanna-be action combat a la tera? The Secret World is the only game that comes even remotely close to dreams. But it sells nothing. It's not even worth. When you watched star trek and imagined it as a virtual world, did you you picture STO?? The first time you saw an original star wars movie, could you picture SWTOR? SWTOR is a destruction of dreams.
But then I saw the video of the dude who made wing commander games wanting to make a new game. His vision is the vision. His vision of pc gaming in 2012 is accurate. What he wants to do is what should be done. It's what we should fork over our hard earned cash for. A sophisticated experience. Not this gear grinding repetative garbage. Made for complete fucking morons.
I find it sad that when I sit down for video game time, and I maybe have an hour to play, that I end up playing a game that was released in 1994 over the plethora of modern games I have at my disposal. The fact that an "old school" game can be more mentally stimulating than a new game is sad.

This is why TERA combat is better than GW2
