Hello everyone :)
Been a bit since I last posted, so I wanted to give anyone who may be interested in starting, or rejoining FFXI an update on our current Linkshell.
We started back in September of this year, and have since then become a thriving Linkshell. We have a great community of players who are all very helpful and willing to answer any questions, or assist with anything that is within their abilities. To give some insight on where we currently are in game, most of us are rank 6+ with our city nations. Right now we are in the process of setting up a couple nights a week where we will assist all current and new members get caught up in content and gear so that they will be able to participate with the Linkshell in engame content.
As far as gamplay is concerned, we are trying our best to keep it as oldschool as possible, meaning that if we can we will form parties and camp xp like the old days, but we will also use the Grounds of Valor books for xp as well, in saying that though we stay away from zones like Gusgen, and Crawlers Nest, in favor of sticking to fights that are ment for our level range.

@Yizle of course we take new players!!! all you have to do is contact us in game and we will get you a pearl!
For all other new players having difficulties getting ahold of us in game use this command to find us /sea all Razela. you can also replace Razela with Xeponia, Tedlar, Laucian, or Nosfere and it will let you know if we are online. If we are just select us from the list and send us a tell. If you feel more comfortable with us seeking you, post your ingame name on this forum, or our forums and will we locate you and get you in! |

It's good to see things are still quite active on this forum, and our own. To answer a few questions... yes this is still going and going strong I might add. We are at about 35 members 15-20 of which are active and usually concurrent, averaging about 2 people added a week. most of us are level 60+ but don't let that dissuade you from joining, we are all more than happy to sync down and help all low level players get caught up in levels, and in content. The majority of us have capped ourselves at 60 to assist, and to allow others time to catch up at there own pace.

we are growing everyday! We currently have 21 members registered on our forums, 16 of which are active all the time, and we are averaging 1-2 new members a week. All in all things are going very well :)
What we can offer at this point in time is, static leveling groups most every night. If the party is full, we encourage other members to form parties. We will also swap out members every couple hours to give people a chance to join. We are currently working on a day and time once a week to form a catch up group, for people who need help doing their main missions, or things such as sub-job items, or airship keys ect ect... |

right now we have about 15 or 16 members, 8 or so of which are on all the time. things are picking up more and more each day. most of us are now in our 30's with our subjobs, and working on getting advanced jobs and missions. Currently we are nearing rank 4.

as far as leveling is concerned it does take a little longer than most mmo's to level, but I find it not to be bad at all especially hopping into teamspeak and chatting with your party. However, it is a little easier to level nowadays, but still expect 4-6 months of decent playtime to get to the higher levels. This game really is about the journey, not how fast we reach the destination.

Welcome to all the potential new members!
Good to see there still is some interest in this after all!
With our current new members, I believe we are coming to the point where we can start moving away from doing pages over and over, and focus on more traditional levleling methods, not that I am against pages, as long as you are doing ones that are ment for your level, and not using them as a powerleveling exploit.
Unfortunatly this weekend I am kind of busy with real life stuff, but will resume play later Saturday evening, in the meantime you can contact Tedlar, Slowtease, Jento, or me Razela if I happen to be on for a moment. |

as will I, but no harm in trying to replay a classic. Besides if this works out well, I personally see no reason why we couldn't divide our time between the 2. Nearly winter, and I personally hate going out in the snow :-P

Hello everyone :)
Good to see this forum is still gathering attention! Few things, for the person that mentioned something about gmt times, I usually play online games with a friend in that time zone (5 hours ahead of me) and never really had too much of an issue. I would like to imagine that if we continue growing and fill in multiple time slots there will be people on all the time for people to group with.
As for abyssea and FoV
I know those will always be tempting for leveling groups. I will not tell people they can't do it, but I would like to give oldschool playing a try, and give it an honest go. FoV I don't mind running, if we are in a 6 man group doing it right, not 18 man alliances in gusgen killing page 1 over and over from 12-30.
p.s pearls will be handed out in bastok tomorrow around 2 pm est. I will be making a post here, and on our forums about it.

awesome! Looking at the response I have gotten in this forum already I feel this will be a success :)
Like I stated, I will be handing out pearls on Thursday afternoon Eastern time, and hope to take our first group of adventurers to the dunes for the first LS XP party. |
