Meridian 59 is a 3D game, there aren't any character levels in Meridian 59, they use a skill system just like Ultima Online. To answer the OP question, I believe the game you are referring to is Thesa Online and sadly it's been discontinued.

Let me know if you decide to play Tibia, if you want I can give you some tips and pointers ingame, and items to start out to get you a jumpstart.

Yeah, I posted a while back that I wanted a Pokémon mmo, I replied under a topic called "what game would you most want to see made in to a mmo?" most people mistaken my reply and took my opinion as sarcasm. {I don't mind if it is made for the Wii} Just as long as it's made for online play.

Played it back in the 3DO days. Wonderful game too. It was even doing better than Ultima Online for a while, but things didn't go the way 3DO planned and after awhile 3DO closed down.

Yup, I been keeping a tab on this title for a while now, not likey to become a massive multiplayer title but I'm sure it will support online play like battlefield and half life and those sorts.

FFXI is the only mmo that comes close to the turn based fighting system, and as for Dofus I was informed by a long time player that it is now shutdown.

yea you long time player friend needs to get his facts straight.....I doubt a 3 million player wide game is going to be shutdown even thought its f2p......also look at wakfu ....what dofus should have been.....

Sorry no, that game is bad, as a matter of fact it's not even really considered a game at all, it's a casino with a game like physics... besides OP stated he wants a game with a medieval theme.

I knew it since you live in Sweden. You may want to check out Meridian 59, it has all that you mentioned except the beta part again, if you do try it out be sure to choose server 101 to make your character on.

The game is called Tibia, it has one of the most harshest death penalties for an mmorpg, freedom to pvp and take anything you want on the person you just murdered in cold blood, kill anyone you want anywhere you want except inside churches, banks and your house, it has not been in beta since the mid 90's and it's age shows for that fact alone.
