The choice for AoE was removed 2 patches ago I think, can't remember for sure. And starting gear is sold from NPC's in the towns for a few Levequests worth of Gil. What nation are you in? I can link the NPC's.

OP you will have plenty of time to grind out your PvP rewards once your 50.  "But I only want to PvP and only want to level while PvPing"  I dont know, go play LoL then or something. Bioware spent some ridiculous amount of money making the PvE content which you paid for whether you wanted to or not.  The title of the game is not Star Wars: The old PvP Repubic.  I rolled on a PvP server because I like PvP but Im not going tunnel vision on it.

Or I guess you could just play the rest of the game while leveling up which provides the gear you need.  When your level 50 you can log 10 trillion hours of PVP game time and get all the coolz PvP gear you want.

I find myself at every quest relating to it from my characters perspective and Bioware have made a storyline that encourages this.

 

Indeed, my family is loving it.

There is so much to do in this game it's nuts. I don't even want rush to 50
