I bought this game at release, and like the posters before me I still visit the game every few months. Its a good break from the fantasy/sci-fi games.

Also very fun to get on the TS server for allied or axis and listen to all the diversity of people who play it. Once I was in a room with a all Italian regiment. Was great.

I can honestly say I see lotro going some where. I was skeptic at first, but with the addition of player housing, which alot of peeps adore, and the way Turbine is doing it, I do see lotro as a solid game. I need to go update my review on the game.

If your gonna run VG, as people have previouly posted, get the fastest single cpu. If that is not a option to you, you neet to get a single 8800 GT.

Also run windows xp. The VG client seem to like it better from what I hear

I agree. The industry has expanded tremendously and passed Garriott by. There are thousands of Garriott's now, except with a more creative edge.

/agree. I just started the trial with my wife on the Theilas server.....so far so good....fun.

um... na, but as the people have stated earlier, its ALOT better lvling than Lineage2 or FF11. And for your sanity avoid VG. 

So if you have to start a new, I guess EQ would be ok if you can't wait for anything else..

We both have played WoW, EQ2, Guild Wars and Lotro. All Great games.

On a wild hair we tried the 10 day trial for DDO. We both are loving it.

We are playing on the 'Theilas' Server.

I didn't know you could beat a MMO? well if you could, EQ2 would be alot tougher than WoW.

I could write a book on this, and anybody who knows me or has read my editorials would expect me to write some scathing, angry piece here.
 
Let me share this. I was a hardcore Star Wars Galaxies player, “was” being the key word. I stopped playing that game about two years ago, a few weeks after the Trials of Obi-wan expansion came out. I’m sure you all can guess why I stopped playing.
 
SOE was Gods & Heroes publisher and partner and in my time spent there I learned a lot about the nature of the business and about SOE. I think they are a wonderful company who really wants to make great games. They have the experience and business sense to know what really is best for the games under their belt.
 
So yes, I still am bitter and want my old Star Wars Galaxies back, however I know that if SOE didn’t do what they did, we might not even have a Star Wars Galaxies today. They have learned from what happened in the past and I think we see that happening with Vanguard today. Vanguard has improved ten fold since SOE came into the picture and I see them really working hard to support that game,
