There were no loot drops at all, but everything you killed would give you crafting materials of varying qualities and levels that you then could combine in many different ways to create different effects in your crafted item. I agree that craft-grinding is something to be avoided, then again in most MMOs you also happily grind away at levelling your combat skills and lvls.

The new company had some 1.7 billion US$ incomee in 2008, but in total ended up with a 107 million US$ loss for the year. Stockholders tend to not like that and usually want some heads to roll for such.

This is defined as the frequency at which an intermittent light stimulus appears to be completely steady to the observer. Standard movie frame rate is 24 fps. Standard European and Australian TV (PAL standard) is 25i, 25 fps interlaced to simulate 50. Music videos, MTV, VH-1, etc. are shot at 30fps. Most cartoons and anime run at 12-18 fps. In computer games, 25-30 fps is considered fluent. The entire GTA series operates at a software-fixed 25fps rate. Easy to check for yourself by the way. Get an adjustable strobe light. Set it at different flash rates and check whether you see independent flashes or a steady light. Caution: only do this if you do not suffer from flash-induced epilepsy.

I've been with SEED ever since I found it, long before Beta. SEED spell-bound me with its no-combat concept, its graphics and its community. I find this a very sad day and I will miss this game, the Ring and the people I played with.

Until that mandate is revoked, they should, even if only as observers. Being watched might just keep both sides from going overboard. Also they are already organising relief efforts and prisonner/casualty exchanges, so they have a job to do too. Donkeys on mountain paths. You'd be surprised how well that works and how much tey can carry. It surprised the Germans in Yugoslavia and Greece dring WWII, ditto the Soviets in Afghanistan. As for hearts and minds, the Israeli have lost those. According to a Beirut radio station poll, about 87% of all Lebanese now support Hezbollah. Which means that now even a good part of the Lebanese Christians support that radical-islamist group.

The UN mission tend to mark their post quite brightly and obviously with white and blue, UN markings and UN flags. I think it is far more likely to be a pilot error in the heat/fog of battle. buildings are far harder to separate from each other viewn from above. Here a link to the relevant Unifil News Report. (Warning, .pdf) I do agree however that the IDF should not examine this alone. Armies have a tendency to protect their own, even if at fault.

For 18 years you hunted them, with no success. Now you expect Lebanon, that has nearly no army to disarm them, to do your job for you.

It becomes even more ironic when one considers that the one US congressman whio was willing to investigate Jonestown, actually was a Democrat. It still isn't an argument worthy of consideration though, just a denial tactic and an admission of 'I watch only FOX, read only Coulter and have no mind of my own', in fact a Cool-Aid of its own. And I bet I can foresee Joker's reaction to that comment.

Big deal, if you are going to observe wars from the middle of the front lines, what do you expect? Actually, this is a big deal. The UN observers are mandated to stay there and to remain there, amongst others by the US and the UK too. They are non-combatants, thus to be excluded from all combat actions. Something made easier by said big markings. A targetted attack on such an observation post is a major blunder.

A UN observation post was, mistakenly or deliberately, bombed by the Israeli Airforce. Four UN observers were killed. It has now been reported, and confirmed bu the IDF, that said observation post contacted their IDF contact at least ten times, warning them about the bombings in the area and confirming that the IDF knows the position of the UN observation post. Still they got bombed. That really has me wondering what's going on there. UN observation posts are usually well-marked in white and blue. This one had even confirmed its location with the Israeli armed forces. So for Israel to bomb it... not looking good. Also, one of the killed observers was Chinese. China is now shifting from its neutral, not-interested position regarding the Middle East and has begun warning Israel. Not the first time Israel attacks foreign observers that might have seen too much. In 1967 Israel attacked the USS Liberty, a US Navy intellgence ship, killing 34 US Navy sailors and injuring 173 more.

Both of these points where simply to underline that even if "not on the same continent", they are VERY close...1 country away at most...and they even share the same government (Roman Empire) as most of Europe at one moment in history. Roman legacy is heavy in many ways. Leban and Israel are very close to EU. I have no doubts that Turkie won't access EU, the Greeks can veto it anyway. Just making sure they doesn't veto is a task in itself. The distance between the most-western part of Europe and Leban is smaller than some Canadian provinces. VERY close. This area of the world is "Asia" in the book, but honestly, it is "Asia-Europe-Africa", all 3 of these. Anyway, where does Europe ends exactly in Russia? On the world map, a big part of Europe in Ukraine and Russia is more eastern than Leban or Israel, yet nobody will argue that Ukraine is in Europe, not in Asia. This is like putting a border and saying: Central America...very hard to justify. From a land point of view at least. When we learn continents, we learn North America and South America...we never learn of Central America as a continent, yet it doesn't belong in North America nor in South America...so where does it exactly belong since it isn't a continent? Side note...didn't Vichy France and Free France kill each other in Leban in WW2? Europe ends around the Ural Mountain range, that's the continental divide. A small part of Turkey, old Thracia, is actually European, the rest is Asian. Btw, here in Europe, America is still often regarded as one continent. Vichy France and de Gaulle's Free France faught each other in many French colonies. I know mainly of the conflicts in West Africa though, esp. Senegal where de Gaulle won. As for Lebanon and Syria, they were invaded by British and Australian troops after an Iraqi revolt in June 1941. (History so likes to repeat itself. Or are it the historians?)
