I fell for the hype on AoC.  Ya I got owned.  AoC was pretty boring.

I don't expect Warhammer to come out perfect and without bugs.  I know it's going to be rocky at the start.  Every MMO is. 

My question is to the long time DAOC and Mythic players and those who have been beta testing. 

Does this game have potential to beat WoW in an overall better gaming experience? 

OMG i just cant stop laughing, WAR will not beat WoW. It wont even come close! WAR will not live past 12 months before they start server mergers!

Its been proven already, the vast majority of players DO NOT want another WoW clone! The vast majority of players are all tired of the same level based grind fest WoW can be and so are the clone minions that continue to "TRY" and take WoW customer base.

So be hopefull as you will, but WAR will end up just like AoC over time without a doubt!

Agreed if UO would upgrade their graphics to current technology i.e. DX10 and what not, i would and i know many from my old guild would go back without a 2nd thought.

Take your AOC graphics engine and put it in AO!

AO is by far a much better game than your AOC game will ever be, its sad but true. AO was innovative and very creative when it first came out, and still by comparison AO classes are WAY better than most modern MMO's currently out.

So i/we beg you, take your AOC graphics engine and use it to infuse some new life into AO.

No it won't. it's more fun than AoC. The cuts I assume were so they don't release a disaster of a game like funcom did. Why put it out if it doesn't work? I know I'd rather have them do that than hearing "Everything is fine here. It's all complete. Did I mention we have boobies?" The boobs were just put in to distract us from figuring out the truth until we got the game home. Us males are so easy to trick.

Mark my words, WAR will not last past 12 months before their subscriber base falls and they start to merge servers, There are just too many new and better MMO's that are more innovative than WAR will ever be.

AOC failed due to the same principle, lack of innovation and creativity, AOC was trying to make another WOW clone to attract players from that game as WAR is trying to do as well.

So like it or not, you will see WAR fail over time as AOC did!

outdated graphics.

The time has come for me to leave UO, the graphics are just getting to me so any UO Tamer's out there know of any MMO's that have more or less the same pet system UO has? (do not include SWG, they upset me years ago when they removed CH and i never plan to go back!).

Any info is appreciated.

GwWiki has destroyed this once great game, this rediculously easy pure pvp based game. The game is basically a raid in any newage game now, you see your build, you know the routine, 2 minutes later, match done - i hate you GwWiki

Its not GwWiki, its the players in general. Most players in general are followers, and anytime Developers make anything that will over power another the masses flock to it. No one likes to lose.

Samething will happen with WAR CE, its a marketting gimic. basically it lures those that can afford to spend the extra $$ and then after release they provide the same items to the rest of the players over time, so no IMHO its not worth it, besides WAR will not make it past 12 months, the game is set to fail, too many good MMO's coming out that are actually new and bring something fresh to the MMO industry unlike WAR which is nothing more than a WOW clone.

40% gear

60% skill

If this hold true then WAR here i come! cause lord knows PvP in WOW has become a joke when any heavily geared player can almost take on 2,3 even 4 at one time and kill them all :(
