Just because a word is the now buzz does not make it true. Or can someone please enlighten me to what part of the Cryptic Store is a scam?

I took up SONY on the free Vet Trial  and since i have my main and main alt on Europe-Infinity they are no longer playable. So i though, what the heck and fired off  a mail to customer support expecting the usual "you are not a current subscriber please subscribe to benefit form this service". Well color me pleasently suprised when i get a mail back tha states that my characters will be transferd asap to a active server of my choice free of charge.

Well i still miss my sandy beach but this playground at least do some things right.

Well the question is not so mutch "is there anything to do" as "what do you want to do in-game" Have you tried all the content, have you done all the raids. If so do you like that kind of content.? If you do have you tried to get gear that is not overgeard for the raid and taken a swing at the hard-modes. If you like PvP take a stab at 3v3 or 5v5 arena and take the world with storm as a master galdiator.

So, my friend what do you want to do.?

Well like it or not but CoH is still a good game at what is does. And the more confined instanced setting works a lot better for a super hero game.

So i'd say 2 strikes. and considering they have a third game in works in-house, and have had for several years. (the promo art shows it as some sort of exploration indiana jones/chutulu mixup.) they might be going for that third strike. Sadly tho we have not heard much about this game since Cryptic split from NCSoft.

And i say as i had several times before... Why do anything to the ships... All space combat i have seen in Star Trek is slow, lumbering, like in the game.

. Did any of you complainers look at Cryptics earlier work. Both CoH and CO uses basicly the same engien so logic dictates that STO would use the same one too. Neither game has contained any real crafting, both have been almost completly instanced. Almost every complaint on the list can be pointed out as present in either CoH or CO or both.

I can understand that people asumed (and asumed being the key word) alot of thing based on their own wet dream of a Star Trek game. Sadly, as it's known in the customer support biz asuming is not the same as fact and 9/10 wrong(and yes that mmost likley menas i am wrong in my asumptions too).

And last... Honestly... Space combat... Show me any clip from any of the shows were large ships swing around and do a reenactment of the nutcracker suite. Go on... I dare you. I consider the space combat to be the most "star trek:y" thing in the entire game

Have  they un-gimped the Shadow Warriors yet.

In shipmode there is a small downward triangle under the + and - on the map. push it and you get moved in to your own bridge.

Well for me personally it has to do with the whole 0-bit, yes i might be running Positrons  Taskforce for the X to the factor of 10:th time or turn oversized deathmetal vikings in to confetti in Utgarde keep, done it before but at some small level it is not the same. dynamics change. Sure it is not a world of difference but every little help

Now the trend of DLC have weakend my other point, namingly the  one were the world never changes in a single-player game but still a MMO usualy gives alot more content changes then a SP game.

That is an easy one... 3... atleast if you read the posts as it states that datamining have shown roggies to put out more damage then expected and that shifts the balance of the new encounters.

waking and getting out of bed, talking to only 3 coworkers due to lack of space in car... what is up with this life.

Honestly i can say that City of Heroes (cryptics first and by most standards sucesfull game) have no problem with feeling like a MMO even tho it is 2/3;ds instaced and some how i have no doubt they will make ST:O feel like a MMO too.

As for the Cash shop. Just... don't... use... it. Noone is forcing you to use it.

Apart from that you are full of valid arguments.

There is no way that a "hacker" can get your password unless you allow them to.

 

actualy today it is enough to be registerd at a WOW related website (like aguild forum or sutch as) and use the same email and password f0r your WoW Account and your forum (or what ever) then bam you stand naked in stormwind with a sinking feeling

Well i asumed you were unaware of the established etiqett and intended to enlighten you to the fact that you behaved in a manner that the general population of most forums have deemd equal to stomping around in a toystore yelling because you were  denied the latest shiney.

And between you and me... If i go back to my old Sollomat Outbacko those PED go quite a fair bit, and maybe i get lucky and HOF on a Chirpy.  =P

I and many like me deposit no more than we would for any other MMO and then play smart. Me i have mostly "lost" money as my depos usualy are up by the time the next is about to go in but then again i ain't making money of WoW either so for me that is OK.

To new players... Don't look at this as a way to make quick bucks but rather a regular MMO with a monthly fee and learn to play that way. And don't bother with angry people like Scammy 'cause they are the kinda people who buys a lotteryticket and then pisses about how they did not win and canät buy a soda.

Ah.. yes i can not argue with you on that point... My knowledge of the american legal system is rather fuzzy too.

But to my first point, and i am in no way saying that cryptic was particularly proffesional in the way they handeld them self but if they get all pre-orders in before the 11 of december i would still considering it being them fullfilling their part of the deal as a month of beta testing is still quite alot. And it seems your court acts abit different from ours, Here they look alot closer to what was writen in the advert and in this case would most likley rule that no were in the contract did it specify when said acess and that people should stop asuming things.

As to my second point, and here i can only draw upon my own time as a CSR but is it is not Bob from marketing saying so in black and white someone has most likley overstepped their boundaries. But to be honest the main thing that rubbed me the wrong way the fraud bit, as i said drawing on my personall experience there is not all that unlikley that poor Bob in marketing, by the time he got wind of the forum post in particular nearly choked on his BLT sub and Coffey... sommunication between different departments are not always that effectiv.

Still it is one hell of a do-do to make but i have a hard time seeing how it was done with malicious intent or even worse trying to prove that as an outsider.

Änyhow to try and bring this thread back on track.

I am absolutly going to roll a Worgen druid with a feral/feral spec and make my current druid Balance/Resto (he's currently Balance/Feral) 'cause i realy like the jack of all trades feel of the druids and i want to see the new "old world". And i the new LFG system comming in 3.3 works as well as i hope life will indeed be good.

Also built-in skinning knife FTW i can´t tell how many times i left that sucker in the wrong backpack

Ok... I have looked at all the advertisments and i non of the ones i can find did i find anything about  "WHEN" said access should be granted. As long as you get in to the closed beta they have made good on their part, and as far asi know... The closed beta ain't over yet i am right.

The only one who has said anything about "first access" was a person, who in all fairnes was not in a position to make sutch claims. So show me were it says "WHEN" you were going to get in to the beta apart from that poor man and his forumpost.

I think i am well old enough to decide for myself what " I " (please do note the I as in Me  as in Myself as in the person behind this post) think is fun. And i happen to think WOW is fun in it's current shape. If that makes me a worthless spoonfed imbicill in your eyes then asume i have to live with that as i could not care less. You have games like Darkfall and the original Ultima Online for your no shit, no nonsens in your face gaming. I am just glad that there is more then one game out there so we all can be happy and actually play things we like.

But no.... I have no intention to have you punching me in the face... there are clubs for people  like that and i am sure they punch alot better than you do. =P

So feel free to express your opinion but please don't be a fool and try to tell me how i should have fun. This only serves to make you look like a arse and will in the end lead to no good.

Do i need to point out that the original Hightborne never were completly wiped out. Just that most of them left for fairer shores and blonder hair... There has always been a enclave of highborne night elves and now they are comming back as the world is going towards the drain.
