So what gives Icefrog the right to name...? Heck one of the words in the title is a unit from WC3 and a huge part of the lore of one of the races, The guys who created DotA did not come up with one original thing apart from the setup, it is blizzards art assets, sound assests, game engine, lore assets and the oh so important fact that this reached fame because it was for WC3. You think anyone woudl have rememberd it if it was relseased as a stand alone game without any ties to the WC universe? I very much doubt it.

I my mind (and what i managed to put together from different legal rescources) Blizzard are very much in the right. And even if you think that they are not you shoudl support this as the ruling here vill help define a very murky part of copyright laws.

And? that still doesnt give them the right to stop someone else from trademarking something.

Actually it does, they have all the right in the world to try and do that. Just as much as Valve have to try and trademark it.

*eats popcorn and watch the woodblocks cry for "justice"*

Damm good weeknd enternatinment. Can only agree with several other posters in the "belive it or not, Blizzard is not the badguy here" category.

Then again i guess it is way to much effort to google how things work and read the dang thing.

Yeah i have to agree, APB have flaws... In my mind a few less then back in the RTW days before reloaded but as mentioned above very few if none of those are brought up in the article... .. .

But no... I agree that APB is in no way shape or form WoW/EQ/*insert theme-park MMO X here )...

This was all in all a hack job, but it does a great job of illuminating how APB look to a newcommer, this game have a VERY steep learning curve and is about as forgiving as a kick in the groin.

Maybe change the title to "a newcommers frist view of APB:Reloaded" and it would fit a lot better.

Soo...? You are rebuking their projected numbers with pure speculations... Sounds a lot like a pot calling kettle black... Only problem is that the kettle actually have data to lean on and the pot is only blowing a lot of steam.

You seem to not take in to consideration that for al those that quit... a lot of people now have their first influx of cash since the christmas season thus you could very well see a spike in sub-numbers due to... i dont know.. people having money again.

We don't know, unless you are a insider at EA's financial department and if so i am sure you are breaking some sort of NDA even looking at your keyboard in here.

personally i am glad that they choose one aspect and focus on it... WAR is a good example of trying to please both camps and end up spreading so thin that you please none.

I am so going to play this when it releases.

I'm curious, are there any other industries that consumers tolerate half a** products based on future promises?

Cars? No. Actually, between promises made on what a car can do and how it behaves in real life... I'd say yes.

Doctors? No. Perhaps not doctors per se but the pharmasutical biz is very good at this.

Food? No. McDonalds: Here look at this lovley image of a hamburger... because you will NEVER have it.

Games? Sure! Why not?! Just gimme half a game, I trust ya! Oh... I think someones argumenst just fell apart.,

Lol. It's just so ridiculous.

Good try tho...

It is a nice game and the community is small but strong (and in most cases friendly) but new players should count on at least putting in a few bucks in to it, or the learning curve will be steep and the grind fairly rough.

Why...?

Because the paying majority have more money then time and thus want to equation of them paying a subscription(or doing micro transactions) to give them as much active play time as possible... And why is this... Well because the original gamers simply grew up and got a job and a family that ate on to their hobby time.

who knows, but it might cause more people to pay for a full account if nothing else to get to enjoy all the sweet stuff.

I am pretty sure Google will not sit idle if they try to take down youtube... But you might find it a lot more difficult to upload material you do not own the rights to soon. More so then to day.

Most likley in or around the area of reverse engineering and/or industrial espionage... But i am sure you can google it if you really like to know... the case and the case number is bound to be on the web by now.

Uhm I am pretty sure that has been the Essence of WoW from its creation. WoW has always been about the "casual" give it to me now cheat code generation crowd. Thats why it has made so much money and why I will never play the game.

Huh?

Up thorugh BC (some will say through LK) it was epic and you earned your schievements, but then again you claimed you never played it.

No... It was not... BY that times standard WoW was a pushover walk in the park.

As long as governments don´t value  human life they don´t have the right to prosecute for any other less offence event. If they still can bomb children in the Middle East, and let people die from disease and famine while there is enough food and medicine in the West, they got NO right to come with crap like this!!! Who care Lars Ulrich gets only 7 Mill of an album instead of 15 Mill. Making laws to make these kind of persons even richer should be a offence, not stealing from rich people!!!

Were i come from we have very good healthcare and a social protection system paid for by taxes... And afaik we have not sold particularly huge amounts of weapons to "bad people"... And it was a good 200 ish years since we invaded another nation... True we sold our rear to anyone during WW2 but when your total population barley make up a major US metropolis you tend to play it safe. So by your logic we are free to kick the arse of people breaking the law... I need to inform our goverment.. they will be soo happy,

I find the laws ridiculous but you know what's more ridiculous? The US government trying to screw with the affairs of other countries. I mean it is one thing to come up with some stupid laws for your own country but when your laws affect other countries as well, now that's absolutely ridiculous.

I'd like to point out that this *points up* is in no way shape or form a qoute form me... It is the result of someone derping their keyboard.

What seem(snip)

And i have no idea what he is on about since the read gave me headache.

Meh... Never botherd with space in SWG.... prolly never will bother with space in this game. But if it is a deal breaker i really hope you people manages to stay away... it is pointless do to something you do not enjoy as a past-time

Actually... Terrorist: Someone who uses terror as a mean to achive their goal. Sounds a awful lot like Anonymus to me... And before anyone actually hail them as "heroes" i like to point out  that they do infact use the exact same tactics to get what they want as every other terrorist group from ETA to IRA to Al'Qaeda... With the sole difference of doing it on-line. This is ofc good since it keeps the bodycount down but it is still pretty much the same thing.

You forgot to mention the American Colonists like Ben Franklin, George Washington, and the others.

Fucking terrorists.

I am going to stop posting in here before i have my posting rights rewoked... But yes i am pretty sure that is what they would have been called if they had lost...

All in all i still hold firm that anyone who tries to use fear and threats to drive theri agenda is not worth praise and no one in here can do jack about that.

Yuui... So stealing user information is OK...? As long as i prove a point...? I am not saying that it is the retaliation recently that put them in the same boat but ther behaviour in general.

Also.. you od know that "Anonymus" began like a joke right... And that it is actually a lot like calling your self "Player 1" and claming to be the greatest player in gaming history...

But some people did not get the joke... And others used it to troll with.. and then came the hackers... And now you have a lot of yahoos running around with masks celebrating a delusional man who tried to blow up a goverment building... And guess what those are called... I am sure there is a pattern here.

Oh I guess those who paint signs and stuff with airbrushes on the walls in the streets illegally are ALSO terrorists then and should all be sent to some secret version of Guantanamo bay to be interrogated, and spied upon then?

SOPA is pretty much online version of Patriot Act - an authoritarian anti-constitutional idea that some mega-corporations or organizations found "useful".

No... Unless they actually state that "Yeah... unless you do as we say, we will repaint your entire building/(insert thing here) with defamation test and images." If they do... Yes.. then you should most likley take them in to at least police custody. If they just do it... Then i just think they should be fined and forced to clean it up... preferably with a toothbursh...

You are so intent on being offended that you fail to see what i am saying... If somone said: Yeah... We are going to hack in to the bank and spread every ones details including personal spending and account information if site X(who is connected to the bank) does not do Y... Would that be OK with you as a customer of that bank.

In my mind.. it is not. And that is the type of "heroism" that Anonymus do....

I wouldn't classify taking a government website as "terror". Terrorists kill people. True both groups don't approach the problem peacefully but no blood is spilt. So they can't really be compared.

I don't agree with their methods but I don't like what the US government is doing either.

No i think you are wrong. Anonumus have a very bad habit of taking a non-compromising stand that basically says "it is they way we want it or the button is pushed" and they use fear and threats to bend people to their way. How is this any different from any other terroist group. The fact that they have YET to directly kill anyone is insubstansial to the fact. After all the only reason terrorists kill people is because it is the easiest and quickest way to build a connection between the actions of the groups and fear.

Not saying people should not protest... just saying that there are better ways to do it then to set off the digital version of a bomb at the source of your irritation. Then again... Maybe that is a new way of doing it... Let's go down to the local Tax office and toss a few rocks through the windows... Or pring large posters with all the information about the poeple who work there and paste them all over town.

Or why not simply park huge trucks infron of the doors to the postal offices...

Not an OK strategy in my mind, and still a form of terrorism in my mind.
