Yes, En1gma was who I was thininking of.. Thanks!
Sort of silly since, well, it's the same person with the same mindset. I mean, moderators put their pants on like every other person. If a moderator posts an opinion about a topic, if you have a differing opinion, you shouldn't be "afraid" to counter their opinion, provided you do it in a reasonable, mature attitude, but that's no different than replying to anyone elses post as well. *shrug*
Hey there, Rikimaru_X! Ya, possibly. I guess I never took on an avatar since I always used the very creative unix username methodology ("first initial + last name, truncate at 8 characters"), and well, I'm not sure what a "dsorrent" would look like in the Avatar world. :) |

Yes, your name is one of the familiar ones (as is Anofalye). She's doing fantastic! She's still slightly behind in speech though so she's in speech therapy. Although, I told her speech therapist that I think she's more advanced than we think, cause she's bi-lingual now! We were in Disney two weeks ago and she's got saying Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse as well as any two year old, however, when she sees Pluto, she can't exactly say his name yet. Instead, she yells "Puta! Puta! Puta!"... We received several looks about that one. :)
LOL.. Funny thing is, I was a supporter of DDO too until I played it for a couple months. :) So what's this about the moderators hiding? What's the purpose of that? There was one moderator, I recall, who was quite active back then. I can't remember his name on here, but I do remember him saying he used to be a priest or something in one of the religions at one point in his past. It was in one (of the many) religion threads that were on here. :) If you know who I am talking about, is he still here? He was a good mod. |

I agree on LotR series however I think Prisoner of Azkaban could have been better. |

Denying VWORLD Terrain info again

Wow, and coming back to the MMORPG scene, I was hoping this game would be a contender. Now that I've read what's been going on with Pix, this game is off my watch list. Incredible.

I may have to download the free client and check it out. Played AO in Beta, but never since then.

It was shortly after my daughters surgery and she had her 2 year birthday in August, so about a year and a half or so? I think I stopped in once or twice, but that's about it... That does remind me.. I want to thank the owners of these forums for actually keeping posts available for so long. I was able to go back and pull out several posts which had sentimental value and print them out long after they were posted. Thanks! |

Hohbein took the words out of my mouth. I'll be getting one after the hype has settled and they are more readily available.
I was just wondering though, I haven't seen anyone play the console in person, so this may not apply. If the remote usage is a matter movements, why can't it be strapped onto the forearm? Or are there buttons on it which may need to be pressed while moving it around? I figured if it was strapped onto the forearm, making a fist with your hand would keep it from sliding off. |

Been a while since I frequented these forums... I'm not sure where the time has gone, but I guess that's what fatherhood does to one... Anyway, I'm hoping to get back in the swing of things and become more of a regular again around here... Just thought I'd throw a post in the off-topic to say hello to everyone, old and new.

VONAGE !!!! VONAGE !!! VONAGE !!!! OMG......
Off-Topic Discussion « General Discussion 10/07/06 11:05:17 PM
I use Vonage and it's been good for the most part. The real issues I had with it were 1) switching my phone number over to Vonage was a hassle. It took opening a case with the FCC to straighten that out. 2) A couple of times I've called home and it went right to voice mail and the phone didn't ring, so there are definitely quirks. Outside of those two issues, it's been ok. I've never had a problem making an outbound call from home and when I did have to call 911, they had my address and such so I didn't notice a difference from when I had to call it pre-Vonage days.
For the person who mentioned when the internet going down you lose your phone. While this is true if you want to make calls, Vonage does have a setting where you can put in your cell number so if your internet is down, calls to your home are then routed to your cell (or any other number you put in for that matter). I have a couple friends who recently switched to SunRocket. I'm letting them test out the service before I switch. SunRocket's deal is $199/year for all local and long distance. They have all the bells and whistles that Vonage has, except you pay for a year up front and it winds up being cheaper per month. |
