EQ, DAOC or AC not sure which one.
I revisited EQ a while back and it felt kinda empty. Haven't been back to DAOC or AC for a while.
Of the three any opinions on which one offers a decent leveling experience (low level areas not ghost towns) and which ones have matured well.
Thanks |

I don’t understand the elitsm’s additude general statement of "stay in Azeroth, we don't want you here"? in each and every new MMORPG

Half the reason that people dislike WOW players in other games is they fill up chat with WOW comparisons. Even in games with RP prefered servers general chat is full of WOW chatter. When you politely ask them to take it to private you are berated for being an anti WOW elitist and a roleplayer. |

This is a sure sign that you must stop WOW or go mad. |

Who are you to decide what a real mmo is ?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 1/15/10 12:11:34 PM
I have evey right, as do you, to offer an opinion about what I consider to be an MMO. I do not think however that anyone is saying WOW is not an MMO. I think you are confusing playstyle comparisons with game types. Maybe sandbox to theme park or aomething along those lines. WOW is an MMO in the traditional sense that many people can play together. But it differs from some of the other and older games in many respects. Whether these differences are good or bad is the part where personal opinions start to come into it. I may not think a game where you can level to cap without any ineraction with other players (other than throug an auction house) is a good mmo. That does not mean I don't thinks it is an mmo just not a good one. Your opinion may be different and thats OK. I respect it and you should return the favor. |

How can that statement in any way be construed as forced grouping? |

I think you are confusing hobby with addiction. To keep within the story, the use of a smoking pipe is important to LOTRO. Making it a skill based hobby is a bit much. I for one don't want my children thinking that the use of tobacco is a fun game to get better at. |

Hey put down the mouse and pick up a book sometime! The Dune series is outstanding. Even the ones not written by Frank are pretty good. There is plenty there for a mmorpg but I would hate to see a developer ruin another fantastic universe with their simplistic approach to these games. |

As a pre Trammel UO vet this game sounds very interesting to me. I am hoping like UO but with better graphics and no click to move crap. The way that they are releasing this game leaves me worried. I am also concerned with the lack of information on their site. Even the official posts are cryptic: " Just to clarify: Every day we offer a significant number of Darkfall copies and while we can't announce it, this number in the 4 digits." How is that clarifying anything? They haven't even updated the front page of their website for more than a month. I would like to know when or if they will be going live in the US. This is not a troll post. I really would love to get into this game but it almost seems like I am some guy fresh off the bus in a major city and some one is trying con me. I hope that this feeling is undeserved. I don't post often so I am not sure why this game prompted this. Maybe it is just because I have such high hopes for this game and really would hate to be disappointed.

Can I use the open beta client with a retail key?
General Discussion « WAR (Warhammer Online) 9/17/08 10:24:09 PM
I think the topic says it all. If I get a retail key from direct to drive do i have to download the retail version or will the open beta version work? |

I have read every single post in this thread and yes it has changed topics, but my point is still relevant. BTW do you really think that after 5 years and less than 100 posts my post count matters to me in the least? |
