Id say Ryzom, probley has a good few thousand followers.

Now first id like to say Aion is polished and has a pretty good story to it. But come on a 8.7 LOL this game is should be ranked in the 7ish range.

As a EX DAoC Veteran, I do not see Aion being a game for us.

FE is Fallen Earth so far its a really good game was released sept 22nd I think.

I also considered that same thing with those two new games. Ultimately, I decided to include them, but I wavered on that until the last second. In the end, given commercial success was not my primary measurement, I figured it was OK to put them in.

Basically, I went through the list post-WoW and made a giant list. That included every game on there, plus a few more. From that, I picked 10.

The other games I had briefly considered were: Habbo, Dofus, Silkroad Online, Age of Conan, Free Realms, Mabinogi, Champions Online, Dungeons and Dragons Online, Runes of Magic, Darkfall and Warhammer Online.

To be clear, that doesn't mean I truly was going to put them on. Just that they popped out at me as I was browsing through.

Runes of Magic and Silkroad were likely 11 and 12, if I had to label it.

Why didnt you consider Perfect World it has 3-4 time as many players as WoW. I mean i hate the game but it better and alot more successful then some game you put on the list.

With how low 4870's, and 4890's are running I wouldnt waste the money on the 4850. Ya id probley have to say that UO, Ryzom, Eve Online, and AC are really the only few bigger named sandbox games out there, other games would be Roma Victor, Wurm . FE is a fun game and has some sandbox points to it but its not a true S-B game.

Some from euro say they play fine with no or min lag, and some say they cant play at all due to lag so im unsure really.

Daoc is still fun but its is now a elitist game, and not firendly to new people.

Now on that note. Vanguard runs really well now. Granted it took over a year of patching and fixes to get it running smooth for most. So if you can stand the horrible lag much like Vanguard had.. Alot of bugs much like Vanguard had. Mixed with terrible content (unlike Vanguard) and Crappy outdated Graphics (unlike Vanguard) then this might be the perfect game for ya.

This of coarse is just my opinion on the game from the limited time I spent in it. But from the basic gameplay this is not hard to figure out.

 

Fallen Earth doesnt have horable lag. I live in US on east cost my latency stays around 40-60 if your in euro or some 3rd word country playing on US based server dont bitch about lag, play a different game.

And dont give me any lame "turn off the dls" cus that is all I got from help chat in game.

Gota be your computer or divers then in off citys i get good ping and 160 to 180 fps and 50-80 fps in major towns.

However, you said that the drivers for the 2xx nvidia cards had bad support?  Do you mean the drivers are bad and cause constant blue screens, or do you mean that they cause lag / minidumps?

BSOD with some games, issues with clock rates not going up and not lowering with 3d apps are enabled, duel monitor issie hdmi issue. issue with forcing aa in games list goes on. Dont get me wrong I love Nvidia but here lately there drivers havent been the greatest.

Not being able to have other plays come onto your ship just really throws the game off for me I was keeping up with it till I found that out, so now its at my never look at again list.

Its not about is it worth it or not, its about does DarkFall fit your play style.

I installed, patched up, grabbed a cup of coffee along with a fresh new pack of smokes and devoted an evening to this so called "bad graphics" and "good gamplay" MMORPG... Fallen Earth.

So, what do I think of the graphics?

No, i'm not some in-denial fanboy thankyouvermuch.  I'm a realist and sometimes a pessimist.  But when I read the following quotes from MMORPG's Rating section on this here game, I get confused:

Getalife writes:   If you can get past dated graphics...

 

Well... I figured I should try to figure this problem out.  Maybe it's just a perception issue. 

To figure it out I took screen shots off of MMORPG from 6 of the most popular/top-rated games and put them all into one big PNG file.  Here are the games I chose:

1.  Lord of The Rings Online (Voted #1 here on MMORPG)

2.  Atlantica (Voted #2 and I've seen it #1 a few times)

3.  Fallen Earth (Voted #3 Currently and #2 most popular based on the number of hits)

4.  EVE Online (Voted #4 but has been as high as #1)

5.  Aion (Voted #5 and #1 most popular based on hits)

6.  WoW (The most finacially successful MMO ever made)

So... we have some of the biggest, best, most successful, newest, and highly beloved games.  Have a look at them all together, side-by-side like a bunch of bimbos at a beauty pagent and you tell me that Fallen Earth's graphics are an epic failure sitting right next to the super-stars.

I know it's really, just a matter of opinion but FE looks fantastic next to the others.  Aion looks great, but for me it's not realistic looking and the style is not to my taste.  WoW is horrible, nuff said.  EVE looks great, but in it's own kind of way.  Atlantica doesn't impress me... are his feet floating above the ground? Seems like the character models don't meld well with the ground textures to me.  LOTRO looks "good" and you can't go wrong with Tolkien's imagination.  As far as realism goes, FE wins.  As far as detail and style, FE / EVE / Aion win.

Either way, even if you think a couple of the other games have better graphics... I see no validity to the complains about OMG HORRIBLE GRAPHICS!!  FE looks great, and on my 42ihnch LCD, I'm truly in the grand canyon, and the world I'm in is a beautiful, disgusting, real, and gritty world!

If all you look for is graphic's in a MMO then your only real options are going to be Aion/Aoc/War. Graphic dont make a game good, AoC is one good reasion to look at that.

CO was fine for a few hours, but by comparison with FE really does not feel very MMOish. I enjoyed myself while I played - although the daily patches started getting irritating - but do not miss it in the slightest now it has been taken away from me.

By contrast, I find myself tincreasingly absorbed by FE.

Thanks to Cryptic breaking CO for me, I have stumbled across an amazing MMO experience I had previously had no intention of buying.

I still like CO but i bought Fallen Earth few days ago also, and im putting CO on the shelf for a few to see if they fix the issues. But on the other side as far as gmaing not running good sure its not your computer, im able to run CO totally maxed at 1680x1050 with 16xaf and 8xaa.

Best bang for the buck right now would probley be ATI 4870 or 4890, as far as nvidia goes id probley say 260 gtx or 275 gtx, I have a MSI 260 GTX oc atm. good card but nvidia been really crapy with drivers now for months so im saving up for ati's new DX11 card eather a 5870 or 5850
