I just download the free game. I'm not sure where to start with this game. I like the idea of science but I don't know the path to take or what ship is a good ship or even what fittings to use. I don't even know what skills to plan. I tried STO academy but I feel there is something missing in that site.

I like playing healers in most other mmo's, but I also like CC, I'm not a DPS kinda guy, and have always like support role.

I do like exploring zones, and crafting, but the tutorial in STO, has kinda made me wonder if this is even viable.

Any suggestions would be great, I would like to follow someones approach, and then when I learn more about the game, move out on my own.

Just purchased the game. Looking for a guild (if that's what it's called) Need info on builds/specs. Curious to see what others are doing. Is there crafting?

I quit the came for many of the same reasons people months ago did. I thought however the storyline for the Sith was really well done.

I wouldn't mind playing SWTOR again. However, I like group play and some missions need more then one person. Are there servers that are busy on low level missions these days, or has that all but dried up?

Sorry was typing while playing. I have a mesmer. I son't understand the attack in slot 1 it almost looks like 3 attacks are rotating.

In slot one It appears I have ether bolt, ether blast and ether cone for my mess. How come you don't get this type of rotation with elementals or necros...

Can I also allow it to just spam one of those and not all three they seem to rotate?

I was browsing through the GW forums, a saw a post in an existing thread that had a youtube tutorial on GW2. Probably one of the best ones I've seen. Gone back looking for it, no dice.  Anyone post a link the last 5 days on GW2 game information from a Beta invite. I tried but can't seem to find the one I was looking for and it was just one line.

I want to play a healer in the game. I'm also going to pick it up on the 3rd.

1) Fan of the Templars and their lore (I guess).

2) Really like the Preacher outfit and a big fan of Blood Magic.

Also I read somewhere that it you don't use your skill points, or something called AP you lose them, I'm not sure what this means?

Looking for a good guild, and willing to learn, need a break from the other mmo systems, but as you can see this is all very new.

What's the point of exploring?

1) Do you find Treasure in water or on land?

2) Can you find resources and then have a settlement on that island to harvest those resources?

3) Can others kill those settlements?

4) Is there any land based interaction (I hate to use this but is it kinda like Farmville)?

5) Can you discover new islands, that provide a new graphical experience, and once mapped can you be the only one that can visit those islands, kinda like  EVE Online bookmark option?

I'm more concerned about the performance aspect. I wouldn't call myself cheap, but I can actually see this being more of a resource monster then AOC, there are things that the original FF MMO did that outperform even by todays standards. That being said I think a 1 gig upgrade video card for this game is a must, and don't expect the default FSB speed, from a Best Buy Acer machine (even though is says dual 2.4) to make this game enjoyable.....Then again we will see, I could be very wrong and Square has done an incredible job of optimizing, where AOC did not. However I don't know if I'm ready to build a new machine for it...ehhh maybe I am cheap :-)

In my Domi if I have problems with a certain type of other ship, instead of guns I put neuts mixed with nos = Surprise. Can't do that in WOW, by me regemming I will probably piss some clowns off at elitistjerks.com and the stats will make some type of difference but not what would result in a complete change of gameplay.

Now before I get hit by all your WOWers out there I will say one thing, it takes forever to pvp in eve and damn it they really have to speed the process up and although sleepers are a bit of a challenge, I wonder just how much more I can take looking at the vast emptiness of dark space. There are days I like it and there are days I don't

On topic, once you have a force recon in eve, I kid you not you have reached the end of the game. Stealth gank ships are the end, because now you can wait for the pvp to come to you on certain asteroid belts. They all see you in local but if they don't see you warp in then bingo you have a chance for some epic ganks. Yeah yeah you can say end game is a titan or your own outpost but pvp endgame is that!!!

Wow is a gear grind always has been always will be. Play all day play all night burning the candle on both ends to get new gear run instance every week to get purple items. Wait for expac run this shit again and again. There are a few that have there senses but a majority (wow forums) would rather raid until 4 in the morning then eat. I don't need stats to prove this I just know.

That's my pros cons and rants all in one, concise thought need not apply, I can blurt what I want!

Looked up mmo doing a google search after I started playing FF online. Ha if I kept that toon I would have had a 5.5 year old character. 

All classed have Healing and DPS reduced to 15% for 48 hours. All the PVP players would go ape shit and your King would be defended like you would not believe.

World of Warcraft there are sentries between Orgrimar and Barrens, they cause EM damage only a DK can tank them though.....True Story

I'll be coming back after trying AION, not a bad game just not my cup of tea. I honestly think my comp can handle Eve a lot better for one thing. Wormholes are a must, they bring a new element to the game, that I still don't understand. Just play the game and be part of a team. I could not do that playing Aion it felt too much like soloville.

Specialize  in one ship at a time you would be surprised  how effective that can be.

Do you ever get the feeling that the fights are never quite like this. I might be missing something. I guess I never had the choice that particular player had in the movie :-(.  Great game though. I wonder what I would have done...ell sandbox decision :-)
