I remember those days and I loved high hold pass at night in the rain cause I could always drop my buddy who used auto follow for everything off in the chasm LOL...

I reinstalled UO about 2 weeks ago and found out that there are still about 20 ppl in the guild I started and about 1/2 them where playing when I was now that was a trip down memory lane, but could not get back in to the swing of that game it just does not run good on a 24" monitor at 1900x1200 lol looked like crap. I even tryed the new redraw ver. of the game but that was worse then the old 2d ver.

I soloed a monk to max level after the RoK release I was gaining a level everynight or everyother night and I only play about 3-4 hours a night so if this is to slow for you then it might be time to find a hew hobby

* LoTRO - I left originally because of high repair costs on my main (Guardian) came back after 18 months then quit because of slow leveling speed after level 30.
* WAR - I stopped playing after level 20 because the game just got boring to me. This game was to me the most fun game I've played since SWG.
 

How can you say this is the funnest game you have played if you could not get a char past level 20?? level 20 is when char starts to come in to it's own.

* City of Heroes - I just got bored after a week.
* Pirates of the Caribbean - Making gold was just too hard and I always lost my gold gambling.
* Guild Wars - I didn't like all the instanced zones.

Currently I playing Runes of Magic and it seems fun but I don't think it has longevity. I have been thinking of trying AoC as I love the Conan books and it seems almost like the last game left.

Anyone have any suggestions for a MMORPG? Should I just give up trying to play MMORPG games?

Now if you are playing 60+ hours a week then you really do need a new hobby it is not healthy to set in front of a computer that much anight and I assume you prob. work where you spend all day in front of a computer as well. Think it is time to go for a jog or get laid

I dispute that I was a troll. I think that evidence clearly shows that Darkfall is against very tough odds, AND that Tasos in particular has been lacking in honesty and integrity and has not been the best PR person one could imagine.

Trolls say stuff like "DF is da vaporz" or "DF suxxorz" without any real reasons to back up such statements. I think for the most part that I have always backed up my opinions and statements with some kinda reasoning and/or proof.

Not that I am sticking up for Tasos but name a company that has had good PR hehe War ended up with alot of PR then did not deliver SoE has Smed, WoW had a pretty bad launch with all the lag and all after them saying they had great servers.

We are talking about a small time company launching there 1st MMO that had to do a total replace of there game so it took them 2x as long as most companys but all in all the crap they have fed us is not as bad as alot of the Big Boys of MMO.

And I was was just giveing Zaxx a hard time he does bring up some good points from time to time

I don't see him defending the game at all he is just sick {as are alot of us} with all the doomsday cry babys spewing crap about how this game is a epic fail on all levels. Who really cares if it is not the game you want maybe you should create your own game or go find one that is what you want, But I have never seen a game that makes anyone happy there is always something they want changed and when the dev. makes the change then there are 10 other peaple who get pissed off.

So if you don't like DF then fine go find a new game but please just stop all the bitching about a game you don't like.

I used a monk to farm they work pretty good for that and as far as 40% skill there is little to no skill needed for EQ2. Only game I can think of that takes less skill is WoW

It was always in development for both PC and xbox 360. The latest information makes it sound like the game will release for xbox after it releases for PC. Beta testing is currenly only for the PC version. At this point they're not even sure if they'll have xbox and PC players on the same servers.

 

By doing that, they wouldn't help putting MMOs on consoles, they're risking a having really low population. Also, I don't really understand why they wouldn't be able to (unless they just couldn't afford it) because alot of other MMO developers have been able to use that technology (ex. FFXI, PSU).

I think we are along ways from seeing a successful cross platform MMO.

and there are many reasons I don't think we will see one anytime soon. Things like chat and controls are on top of the list and yes I do play console games and I do understand there are ways around this but it still will be awhile before we see it happen I think.

Yea and fantasy games where not geeky LOL, Just because you don't like them does not mean there is not a very big market out there for it. I was in a super group in CoH that had alot of members from the UK and they where bigger super hero geeks then any of our US players. As far as the podcast they are the next round of games coming out other then DFO and Mortal.

Don't knock it til you try it. All I every here from fantasy players is there is not enough customization but take a look at any of the Superhero games they have tons of customization that the fantasy group would love.
