I was going to say World of Warcraft, but then I voted other because I'm playing Lineage 2 now. I never tried AOC, but then again I never wanted to after I saw a video of someone playing it and it looked like World of Warcraft with realistic graphics.

I don't live in the US, and WoW is advertised frequently here. Every 7 11 has about 10 copies of the game and a sign outside of the store encouraging you to buy WoW. Blizzard is getting to be the Coca-Cola of video games, now that they are a part of Activision too.

Well you didn't list Lineage 2 (shame you didn't play that) but I will go ahead and do it for you.

I fail to see how a level 76 character is wasted... If you had the means to get the 76 in the first place you can do it again

Most people use an alternative method... Which of course may or may not get you banned. I wouldn't say every level 80+ actually earned it, and even so it's not like World of Warcraft. Max Levels are hard to come by.

Why I play this game and I LOVE <3 IT. I hardly ever play with my level 70 full Vengeful gladiators and zul pve epics warlock in WoW now. I can honestly say I like my brand new level 22 human mystic on Luna just as much :) . I honestly don't know why I left L2. I find the ksing and bots hilarious now and I love the pvp that ensues. I was really pissed when I accidentally went red first day, but it was still a good time. The dwarf village was just "lol". Too bad the Russians are at clan level 3 :X.

Well after my nintendo problem I moved on to DC(still best system ever), but I did buy gamecube and ds. I haven't done any console gaming since because I don't like any of them now. I only do computer gaming.

I just read the post above me. Yes, my school had a gaming club and guess who was in it along with a handful of other complete losers. Do you think I made friends? No. In fact I pissed and moaned constantly about switching my club to just having study hall (where you can play video games).

I didn't watch the video but my eyesight and social skills were destroyed because of games. I didn't socialize in school I played game boy all day long, then when I got home Nintendo 64. Honestly well into high school, everyday all I did was play PsP and DS. I graduated last 2 years ago with mediocre grades and no friends at all

Playing GAMES does NOT HELP you, if anything it SEVERELY HINDERS your EVERYTHING.

Also Nintendo corporation owes me millions for destroying my eyesight from virtual boy, the only color I see is red. I have no way to prove it, but Nintendo I hate you, I will get my revenge somehow

For WoW I use about 50-60, and it's pretty bad too, name one of my skills or any function in game and I can tell you where it's bound. I've gotten so used to it, when I play other games that require clicking any part of interface I must either find a way around it or I have a hard time playing.

BOTS are there because a desire to skip content is there.

Please name a game (existing or in development) that this isn't going to pertain to. Somebody somewhere is going to want to skip something and they will make that part of the game automated because of it.

People buy in-game currency because they wanted the currency but didn't want to play the part of the game that involved making it.

20 people can play the same game and each have a varied opinion because in truth if 1 game really was the "best", nobody would play the games that weren't as good. I've played 3d mmos, 2d mmos, western mmos, eastern mmos, if you name a MMO I've probably tried it, they all have a grouping aspect, they all have a grinding aspect because that is what an MMO is.

I wish Vanguard was there because of cancellations. Biggest disappointment ever, although I heard it got better, too bad I will never find out

HAI GUYS how 2 BECAMe "an HACKER"!

1 question; Did they delete all the chars from before? because I remember you started with alot of gold (or prias whatever is was called) and I just kept making new characters and trading the gold off until I had over a million or so.

Also I remember before there were 2 options when you selected your character, enter game and delete and you could easily hit delete by mistake and it deleted your character instantly with no confirmation dialog. Probably the most lulz, I've ever seen, I don't really care if it was "beta" or not. How could you EVER release a game like that.

I recommend you check L2blah, there are many clans recruiting there. People complaining about bots and transfers aside, it's going to be a great server I can't wait.

Hey I've played and enjoyed both games so maybe I can help you out.

1)In my opinion the game is group oriented, you need a clan for pvp, and there are numerous bonuses for being in a clan. It's just too many to mention. And with the academy system it should be easy to find one. It's not like the linkshell system in FFXI, the clan offers advantages such as clan only items, buffs, and skills.

2) 4 years ago; This may be a problem for you, but there is a new server coming out in a couple of weeks and it will be like FFXI for a while. I had a problem when I started back in C3 (3rd expansion's name) on Bartz (the most popular and first American server), but there is a low level community, it's just that most people only want to progress to 40+, so they progress and move on, if they make an alt they solo with it usually, so really only raids at low levels.

3)Yeah best end game in any game, it's just so hard to reach, I never got there on official servers so I can't tell you :(, but you can look on LivePVP.com for castle siege videos. I've been in an aden castle siege on a really populated private server and it was awesome. Best time I ever had in an MMORPG.

4)Bartz, Teon or Franz have the highest pops of all the servers. I once made a character on Hindemith and it was a low pop realm at the time. Needless to say the only person I saw was my friend who I leveled with and some random guy, who we ended up pking anyway. I didn't even see bots at that point which was sad. (we were orcs btw, that may be the reason, not many people like orcs)

5)what does RMT stand for? I don't know

6)a bard in FFXI is like a sword singer in L2, The closest I can think of for dragoon is dark avenger because they are a melee class with a pet. but really I would compare it to a dragoon subclassed dark knight. I really don't know what is like a redmage, maybe a necromancer?, but they have a pet and can't really heal.
You can't be 2 classes at once like in FFXI, but you can switch classes at a very high level.

7)This is the opposite of FFXI, where FFXI is based on PvE with PvP being a side game, L2 is based on PvP with PvE just being a means to an ends.

I think L2 is worth a shot, it's a good game, it's just hated because of the amount of grinding involved, and I really don't think the grind is that bad when you are leveling with friends in a group. Think of it like playing all of FFXI solo as opposed to in a group. Even if you are a beast master, it still sucks
