Solution:
Everyone is the same class Uses the same weapons Uses the same build
Done
Now everyone that has whined about imbalance because they cannot compete should be satisfied and unarguably find out that they just plain suck thanks to this setup :3

Yes Warriors need to be tken down a notch and the current HS nerf doesnt quite cut it but those are quit minor inbalabces so far.
accros the board so near to launch it is very well balanced so far. |

Originally posted by Creslin321 the 1v1 or 3v2 ,3v2 only occurs when you hit "play now" as it sometimes tries to fill a empty server. The game constantly tries to add new players but the real problem is because of all the QQ'rs that cry out loud because they have been 3v2 for a whole 20 seconds and then leave constantly.
They also do this when it is 2v2 because in small groups like that they start losing bigtime simply because this setup shows how good or how bad one in the most obvious way. The losing players are always the ones that i see leaving these matches. I often use the "play now" button to get 2v2 or 4v4 matches specifically.
If someone is having trouble getting proper matches even when selecting a specific server you need to make a custom link to the .exe and name and do proper port forwarding, look it up on the support forum stickies or FAQ. |

You just said it yourself, There are players that do manage it on those classes and If a player is not good enough on any of those classes then they dont score. ..yeah duh
I have seen players domintate matches on those 'support' classes, conclusion : It is not the class that is the issue its the bad players that cant handle them.
I can see why so many roll a warrior or a heartseeker build thief since i tried them out after seeing how many players own so much on them.
Warrior: literally faceroll, really you can just press a bunch of skills and win. (note: Some players do know how to play the warrior very well withouth facerolling) Thief heartseeker build: 2-2-2-2 teleport/heal>stealh Win....thats it
The warrior is the most ridiculously easy one tho. I made one to level 3 and did not know a thing about it or its skills and took it into spvp without practising on the dummies or the NPC's. I did this on purpose because i already had the suspicion that it was pure faceroll and i was dominating in my first ever match with it and ended up with the top player bonuses even though i still hadn't had a clue about the skills.
These facerollers think they are 'teh awesomez' until i come at them with my puny necro ...they lol.....and then i wipe the floor with them and run of to the next one. Sounds arrogant i know but i always stay away from these sort of classes in pvp and go for the more difficult to master ones. Done that for years in every mmo and practise does make perfect. The fact that i steamroll these type of players gives me the most satisfaction in PvP :3
Last night a warrior in my opossing team even dared to say in chat that Necro's are OP because i kept wiping the floor with him, (i guess he was a bit surprised by it ) Along with a string of other insults and to boot he even 'boosted' how he made that warrior only 2 hours ago and how he was owning everyone else already and so there fore Necro's must be OP. I get a lot of hate from them in /M during matches and i love to stir it up :)
Again Bad players not bad classes. The fact that there are players that do handle the hard to master classes shows exactly that and i have seen all these so called 'support' classes dominate. Mesmers engineers and elementalists alike. As long as the player controls his/her class.
(imo faceroll classes are in there on purpose for bawd players to make sure everyone wants to play) |

Complaining about not enough interaction is what i have seen in e-v-e-r-y-s-i-n-g-l-e mmo i have played. I myself have never had such issue and it is so simple. If you dont initiate interaction you will experience less interaction.
I can walk into a bar in a town i have never been to and within 30 minutes it will look like i have been comming there my whole life. Now not everyone does this but common in anon enviroment like a mmo with text chat, how hard can it be to make conversation? i do it all the time and more often then not end up chatting with 1 person or groups of people for 30 minutes or hours. Sometimes when im tired i sit back and have fun in the main channel for like a hour.
Do that and you will start to know people and vice versa , make jokes break the ice ,group up with strangers and INTERACT. people who write stuff like in your op usually just stand there in the game or run with the group and say nothing until spoken to and answer with yes no or lol.
Pasive!
You expect others to interact with you! while you should try to interact with them. The ones that dont respond to it can be forgotten (this could be you) and you will run into more and more people who do respond.
I got a shit to of ppl on my skype and TS/vet adresses and real life firends n phone numbers because of it even but you dont een need to go that far if you dont want to. Its up to you and certaintly not the games fault if others can do it. |

Also you dont just add a couple of servers, this is not your bedroom webhosting notebook and there are other reasons to not to want a X amount of servers since if you make to many you will have to start server mergers soon after and it will be all over the media and then you will be crying here that 'the game is dyingz'.
And GW2 had more then TWICE the amount of players loggin in on the official launch day then WoW did for instance. It had nothing to do with greed , it was exactly like they said for quality concerns.
They held back sales how is that greed? lol In any buiseness you know you never want to run out of stock of a popular product because ppl will simply walk over to the other side of the street and buy something similar on that same day or nothing at all and let it pass. If anything they are aware that it loses sales.
You being a prime example of this.

How correct does everyone think the in game FPS counter is

Originally posted by Torgrim I was using the .79 drivers on a 560ti.
turning on v-sync increased the delay but not by much.v-sync always introduces a delay but only starts to become noticable at under and near 30 fps. Im using the 306.02 beta drivers right now and my performance is a lot better now and the delay basically gone. With the new betas im getting anywhere between 60 and 120fps and it usually feels like it so that is good. I use V-sync in pve but still disable it for PvP but that has nothing to do with gw2, i always do that as it is by definition always more responsive. I am enjoying the game a lot more now after this driver update. It is a nice driver to upgrade to if you have a 560ti but if anyone has a 6x card i'd say check it out but you might run into problems. |

New Nvidia 306.02 beta drivers are out - reports of 10 fps gain in GW2 link inside
General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 8/30/12 6:20:39 PM
I noticed that most positive reports come from 560ti owners and most issues with this beta seem to be with 6x owners. It is easy to revert back to your previous driver but it is always worth a try if you have a 6x.

There is no "Holy trinitiy" it is as simple as that. We can all safely say that that is gone and done. At best you can have a pretend trinity but the agro system and aoe heals just do not support it. Nothing stops anyone from making a makeshift trinity though. But some people seem to wish for 'no trinity'.
There is one fantastic example in the history of online gaming that demonstrates this very well and set standards with it. It is called "Quake 3 - Deathmatch"
A mmo withouth any Synergy between players would basically just boil down to Q3 deathmatch with either other players (PvP) or against bots (PvE) but this time around with a few thousand players on the map. Grouping or guild building would just be silly ,useless and have no point or function purely as a chat lobby but ultimately there would be no need for socialization. But any form of co-operation would already constitute as synergy or trinity if you will - There is no trinity withouth synergy and synergy makes possible the ..dreaded.....trinity so that would be a big no no as we are trying to eradicate it - , apperantly.
You know what i think, with GW2 we get the best of both worlds, We get our cake AND we get to eat it.. |

Anyway ,
I did a clean install of this driver I see some mixed results but usually hear about a fps boost for most people. I on my 560ti had a very nice fps boost actually , without Vsync i get anything between 50 and 120fps. This driver coupled with my newly tweaked settings for both with V-synch (PvE) and withouth (PvP) makes for A LOT more of a responsive and fluid game. Coincidentally i ran into that huge boss in the swamp (human area) again after having installed the drivers. With my fist encounter with this boss stil;l fresh on my mind it made for a good stresstest on these drivers and i can say that the difference was big ! The entire fight went really smooth compared to the fight on the previous driver "304.76".
Really the game now almost runs as smooth on my rig as Aion does ,which is quite a bit lighter to run ,im impressed! ...with both this new driver and the game itself btw
