Thank you for all the input everyone. while I do like console games it hasn't been the same sense super NES and the old stuff. I guess I am just stuck in the 90s. Anyway the reason I like MMOs better than console games is the feeling of accomplishing something and being able to show it off. Not so much being a loot wh0re but showing that i've been places and done things. I really enjoy exploring and I think thats why I liked DAOC so much was because there were 3 totaly different lands that you could go to an experince. What I hate most is creating another toon and grinding through the same crap over and over again. Thats why I only have 1 max level in almost every game I have played. O well i guess I will have to deal with MMO jumping. Thinking of going back to EQ(don't have a max level there) Any1 know of some other games that I am talking about before I go back? |

So currently looking for another MMORPG AGAIN to go play. I have played around a dozen MMOs and they are all fun... for the first month. I have a hard time playing any mmo longer than that because it seems to get so boring so fast. The only MMO I played longer than a month was DAOC back in the glory days. I am looking for an MMO that can leep me interested longer than that. Any1 have any suggestions? It can be free to play or pay to play it doesnt matter. Games i've played and liked: DAOC, EQ, EQ2, AoC, EvE, WoW, LotR, L2, RS
Can any1 help me out? |

Hey guys, I've played EvE since 2004(off and on) and quit recenty right before the graphic update expansion came out(Trinity?). I was thinking about coming back and not going back to my main 50 mil SP toon devoted peerly to PvP and starting a new one. Dare I say he/she will be a *Gulp* INDY WHORE! Haha, I have just never epxerinced any indy aspects of eve and it would be nice to have some isk to spend =P.
I was just wondering what has changed since then? Please don't just point me to the patch notes because I probably wouldnt know what I am reading. I'm just wondering if there has been any major improvements to the game? Is indy/mining still boring as ever with the simple click on rock and haul ore? When I left I knew they were fooling around with they idea of finding "Hidden belts" and things of that nature. Did that actualy go into the works? What else is new with EvE?
Thanks in advance! |

General Discussion « Age of Conan 12/11/08 12:11:34 AM
Hey guys. I played AOC sense beta and really liked everything about it. Yes even despite alot of the glitches and broken content. I just have a question. How is AOC now? I stopped playing back in late june. I got to about 50 and just got a little bored of the game and decided to take a break. Long break i know but I kinda like to play games with my friends and all of them went back to WOW so I kinda had to go I am just wondering what has changed with the game? I play on Tyranny and I heard that it still has a pretty good server population so i am not worried about that really. Can anyone give me a good run down of some of the new fixes/content? Thx a million! |

Did ToA make or break the game back in the day?
Round Table Pub (General) « Dark Age of Camelot 12/02/08 2:32:53 AM
Hey guys, I have always wanted to ask this question and now more than ever. I just went back to the game for old times sake to find that almost everyone is on a Classic server. Now I'm all for the nerf on buffs with the "buff range" addition but I was really bummed when I heard there was no ToA on the classic servers and I'll tell you why. I played DAOC ever seince launch. I loved every second of it and when ToA came out i was psyched to see the new content. I had a 50 infy at the time and was heavily into raiding so ToA was perfect for me. The first time I entered ToA I was awstruck by its majesty. I loved the idea of cities underwater, mythical artifacts, and the Master Levels. The scope of ToA was mindblowing. Almost everything required 50+ people or at least a full group. Me and my guild hit the ground running. my guildies and I were some of the first people to see the ML encounters and areas. I was one of the first infys ever to get the Golden Spear(mind you this is when only 1 person could recive the artifact per encounter). We also had some of the first ML 10s on the server; myself included. ToA made DAOC for me.... at first. Until the ToA revamp. Sudenly owning a artifact was no big deal. Now every person in the group/raid who attended the artifact raid got the artifact. All they had to do was go talk to a merchant in town and it was given to them. It pissed me off that all the work me and my guildies did farming artifacts went to waste. Now every1 and their brother had an artifact. Same goes with MLs too. I don't remeber if they really did anything to them but i just remember alot more ML 10s on my server in a short amount of time. O well I will still remeber the good times me and my guildies had in ToA and the rush that I got when I got my hands on the GS. But anyways enough story telling. What do you think? Did ToA break DAOC or make it better? I just don't like the idea of Classic servers not having ToA. |

I recently rolled a toon on the bloodspire pvp server when I was told it was a predominatly a oceanic timezone server. I was wondering if this was true. I am an American so I am looking for an American timezone server. Is there a list showing which servers are mainly in which timezones? Can any1 help me out? |

What do you guys think of my choices? Will this run AOC on high settings fairly easy? Or you think I should go intel and ATI. Let me know what you think |

REALLY old Vet coming back. Need some questions awnsered!
Round Table Pub (General) « Dark Age of Camelot 4/12/08 10:12:55 PM
Hey guys i've been playing DAOC seince launch and always loved it. Played it up until the last expansion pack came out and thinking about coming back to play on a classic server. I just need some questions awnsered:
1. Has anything major changed sence I left?
2. If I come back I am probably going to make a scout. Do they still dominate in solo RvR?
3. I like to solo RvR. Would it be wiser to be a ranger(self buffs) or a scout(no self buffs but the most damaging/longest range bow user)
Thx for help. I'll let you know if I have any more questions! |

Hey guys, I am currently playing EvE but I am tired of space and looking for a medevil mmorpg. I have played ALOT of MMORPGs in my day and I have still yet to find one I can stick with and be happy to play each time I log on. The one that came close to wat I like was DAOC. But it has changed alot and I have done almost everything to do in that game. I have played EQ2 to end game and been on alot of raids but I didn't like the TOTALY scripted raids that EQ2 has. Heres a run down of what I am looking for: 1. I love raid or die MMOs cause I love getting better gear and exploring new high level areas. 2. I need a mix between "tank and spank" raids like those of DAOC and "scripted" raids like those of EQ2. 3. Good graphics are not needed but are nice to have. 4. I will not play WoW again. I tried it and didnt like it. Let me know of any MMOs that fit this discription (even if they are not out yet) Thanks guys! |

Amatal is right. Don't get your hopes up with that zerker to be main tank in raids. You will probably be on the raid as added DPS or if ur lucky a secondary tank. Most Main tank positions are taken up by the lovley gaurdians. The most needed classes are the ones he has listed. Although all the times ive raided you really only NEED one coroccer.
My suggestion would be pick what you want to do in the raid. Healer = Defieler DPS = Wizzy Support = troubard or dirge (dirge seems to be more popular but EVERY raiding guild NEEDS a Trouby to kick up the DPS of the mage classes.) I am not saying you can't pick any other classes but if you want to be NEEDED in raids try picking from one of the aboves. |

Coming back. But need some good advice!
The Tavern (General) « Everquest II 12/25/07 11:45:54 AM
After a little extended break (bout 3 months or so) I am coming back to try the new XP RoK. I have one problem though. I am not sure what character I want to focus on. At the moment I have a 70 Ranger and a 35+ wizzy. I really like my ranger but there are a couple of drawbacks to him i notcied when I raided and soloed with him. Soloing. Well he is a decent soloer but really can't take on names solo which i need to do because he is so gear dependant. Another drawback on raids is that ALOT of the raids i've been on are VERY close combat which means I suffer very much so because I can't use my bow I am so close. I created my wizzy because of my friend. I saw him solo green - orange names and tripple heroics with ez most of the time(dual root and nuke). Also on the raid he was always top of the parse(which is needless to say because he is a wizzy). I love raiding and that is mostly what i'll be doing with my time on EQ2. So I need some help to decide which character I should focus on. My 70 ranger or my 35+ wizzy. Your thoughts? |

Hey guys I stopped playing EvE about 6 months back and I am wondering if I should come back. If I did come back I wouldn't be starting from scratch. I have a 20 mil SP char, a fully T2 tempest, and a tricked out vagabond that goes like 7 KM/s (or it use to....not sure if it does with any new updates). Anyway I am just wondering what has changed with EvE from 6 months ago until now. Anything cool come out? Also have they fixed the lag problems in fleet battles(doubt they have). so what do u think? Is it worth me picking up again? |

Hey guys got a quick question. I've recently been playing Lineage 2 on a free server and I am getting tired of it so I'm looking for a new/old game to play. I've played this game ever sense launch and have a 50 Necro and 50 infy. I quit right after the last XP pack came out because I was just getting bored. I was wondering if anything has changed in the game or is is mostly the same stuff like raiding, RvR, and BGs? Any input would be nice.

How long did it take you to get a NCsoft invite?
General Discussion « Tabula Rasa 7/07/07 6:34:23 PM
Hey guys I was wondering how long it took you to get a NCsoft closed beta invite for Tabula Rasa. I submitted my request for an invite about 2 weeks ago and haven't heard anything. Just wondering how long it took you to get an invite from NCsoft. I have beta tested games before and have a great top of the line computer with a high speed inernet connection which I told NCsoft in my beta application.
So how long did it take you to get an invite? Also did you create more than one NCsoft account for beta registration and did you sorta fake your beta registration to make your computer look better or your past beta testings better?
Just wondering. Thanks! |
