Wondering if there's any life-simulation/dating apps out there that have the cute, virtual girlfriend?

Similar to Love Plus or even better choice, Princess Maker?

Wizardry Online JP is what good MMO's were made of back in the day.
If anyone wants to know more about Wizardry Online youtube it. The Japanese verison has been out for atleast a year now.

Seems that En-Masse received an rating of an F from BBB and Frogster a D.

There were plenty screw-ups done to the game, but I strongly feel these two companies gated their players more than anything. The multi-player status they were trying to gather from the greed of Blizzard franchise gold-rush has failed to be impressed. Rather than sticking to the original concept of the game and adding it, and shaping a few mechanics for a more pleasurable experience they chose to ignore their fans and strip the game down until the server merges and the numbers of players dropped.

Tera had potential but the game was ultimately mishandled and cut short of what it could have been. A M-rated game has fairly been treated as a T-rated one. I've seen much worst in Age of Conan that deserved the M+-rating then what Tera offered by some standard fan-service and a corspe or a blood dungeon. Secondly the Tera community has been filled with mostly a strong stigma of racism and biased attitudes. Something that should not be in a temporary MMO game.  It's a sad sight to see Tera filled with the worst cesspool of players around and the most racist and judgemental types.

Regardless of the decisions made for Tera it has also opened my eyes to the Comic Code type biasm problems carried by the MMO industry. Unfortunately due to such biasm these are two companies that I will not be supporting with my wallet on any possible future titles published under them.  But also judging by their BBB rating and from experience, they weren't that good to began with.

One thing I noticed about is that their actively ontop and communicating with their player-bases and either addressing/fixing bugs in the game. While other companies tend to ignore these crucial parts of their game or provide less than satisfactory results.

Black Dessert runs on it's own game-engine invented by the company. I like the ability of the horse-drifting that adds a twilight-princess/ Assassin's Creed touch to the game.

As long as it doesn't become another empty mmo with just graphics orluke-warm combat for it's appeal, or the typical tatics used to gorge Internet Cafe Hours then Black Desert will do fine.

More cash-shop, teases, and a surprise returned of lost crafting will not do much to improve the sinking ship this game is headed towards (and half-way there).  They've already added Free-To-Play GM-Events that plenty MMO's without a subscription have.  The game been handled around poorly by both publishers(including the now merged GameForge aka Frogster) and majority of players have left.

The game is simply not worth the subscriptions or impulse-buy cash-shops of the same aim and hit combat that can be found on older MMO's such as Dungeon and Dragons, Vindictus, or Dragon-Nest or Monster-Hunter.

Will defiantly be looking foward towards Blade and Soul, whom is actively communicating with their fans right now and promises that they will not be censoring their product(or insulting potential customers) but providing the best experiences and content for their players(and no boring grind-fests).

Tera may get a bit content here or there but ultimately it's being handled by the same guys who chose to selectively ignore their players since launch in a now last-minute save (or future F2P set-up).

Every game Knoxx touches turns into a petrified turd.

Course it's harder for games to survive when there's just as bad knoxxer-knock offs handling it as well.

The whole En-Masse Company is essentially fluff.

General Discussion « TERA

This will probably be my last post on this game as flaws have been pointed out numerous times. Sad to say while Tera and it's Publishers aim to milk as much cash off of  desperate players as much as possible, other vendors aim to keep their players and game as stable as possible in the long-run. Do check the video-link down below.

All Is Well!

Pretty much sums up Tera's Handling. How long will En-Masse fool players with their fluff PR angles? Once again any mentions of en-masse mishandlings on this game are being locked in multiple "Server Merge Threads" on their forums now.

Brian Knoxx was the same one who handled Aion and it failed. Now he's on Tera and it has failed too. So much for "Westernization Is Future!"

I am a PvPer and I just unsubscribed from Tera.

The reason I unsubscribed is the community is intolerable. I am not talking about chat. I sat there doing the whole retarded nexus grind to obtain my PvP gear. I got my PvP gear enchanted, I did the stupid grinding to get my Zyrk items. Then I go to do even more PvE to get my advance glyphs but guess what?

I haven't even touched a fucking mob in Temple of Temerity thats how quick they are to boot someone that doesn't have t13 PvE items.

One of the problems with Tera too was how elitist, snobby, and somewhat callous the community is. Ontop of those for whatever reason wanted to seek as much attention and back-rubbing social "recongnization" from a video-game as possible. Besides the horrendous amount of trolls that were running about during February of the Game's Launch. Combine that with people's real-life drama dragged into the game and it's more poison to the kettle that's been allowed and fueled as a poor game environment by En-Masse Entertainment.

The game has been more focused on social pressures than those who wanted to play a game to enjoy it fully.

It's one of the reasons why others have left the game long time ago too. No one wants to stick on a game for long if they feel they are paying a game to be nagged or harrassed or frustrated for stupid things.

Combine that with a company that heavily moderators their forums for anything exposing the problems with Tera(yet surprisingly never bans the people who frequently go out their ways to insult others on the forums, and those who think they have a right to harass players who chosed to play an elin because the character got censored by publishers. I've literally seen players being labeled as "Trash"for choosing to play a race in a product they purchased and EME did nothing about it but sit quietly and allowed it while making sure those elin players were severly censored in both game-play and forums)

The company also tends to ignore it's players over a 6-month span except with selective "Feedback" (in other words those who wanted to turn Tera into the next Blizzard, or how Tera should be like Swtor or Rift. Sadly the same could be said for Tera Publisher as Blizzard was their competition.). Then marketing blunders. Made MMO-Fo ads that served more mock people from their own games and bully them into playing Tera with a bald-headed guy beating up wizards (lol). Some amature handlings and poor decision makings that left some people angry at the company because what En Masse said was perceived as "sterotype-labelings" if you lived outside the U.S. for the reason not to play the game.

You get a game that will gradually kill itself off from it's own internal bleeding.

He probably clicked the link in the phising email, just like thousands of other people who still fall for it.

A lot of (gaming) sites and MMO studios have been hacked lately, with entire databases of data being stolen!

So if you haven't bothered changing your password lately.... then sorry, but then you made it extremely easy for these hackers.

Perhaps a stupid question.

But what is wrong with (just) clicking a link?

I thought as long as you don't type in your account info on a phishing website you are fine..

When a malicious or fishy link is clicked it's highly possible that that link is connected to a phishing website or attack website. What may look like a harmless URL could be a link re-directing a person to a website that may try to re-route their browser URL's by exploits, or  possible viruses and malicious programs that open up because they were allowed "access" by clicking on them. Think of hyperlinks as a gate-way door.

I've known people that clicked on phishing links and they ended up getting redirected to a bad websites. Browsers got  Hijacked. Ended up putting their information on the website they thought was legitimate and next thing known their accounts has been wiped clean.

When Online Game Companies get hacked, the hackers and gold-botters keep the information that was obtained for years

A new anticipated game comes out, they use programs that scans and probs down a list to see who they got from prior hacked games. If they find a matching email or an account using the *same* password then they got that person's account.  It's always good to change e-mail and password frequently on these MMO websites as well as not using the same emails or passwords for different games too.

MMO sites aren't very secure to began with(and a lot of other sites aren't either, unfortunately with all the hacking incidents that have occured in the past) and as technology becomes more sophisicated you will have a criminal element that increases with it.

It's one of the main reasons I use Game-Cards for MMO's rather than CC methods of paying for a game or in-game products.

It looks like has some sense of humor but if your not sure you can always double-check on their reddit or customer service!

Name: OK Chat -- not OK: "shut the fuck up with non-english, geez >.<"

Looks like they can be quite anal too

Anal, maybe...but if they can weed these people out of the community the game would be much better off for it.  A random f-bomb is one thing, but in this context?  I have no issues with a 3 day ban for this.

What has happened often too much in MMO communities is a term called "Cyber-Bullying" or "Racism". Guild Wars 2 is an open game that attracts many people of different backgrounds, cultures, and languages.  If someone was talking in spanish in real-life to someone else, it would be considered very rude innappropriate behavior or racist to go up to that person and shout the vulgarity sourced above.

I hope some "gamers" out there realize and understand that these games like this aren't just specifcally built for a certain "gaming protocol of people" assumed to be the only types that are allowed to game on MMO's and no one else is. There are more minorities coming to play games (and even making the games, notice how most MMO's on the markets are made by Koreans! Even Arena.Net's parent company is NcSoft) more than what acknowledgement has been given.

Arena.Net wants to keep Guild Wars 2 as T-friendly as possible too.

Is the 3-days bans long? Perhaps but at the same time hopefully it'll weed out people who more often than not garbage-dump on games and the immaturity that goes along with it.

Nice the devs  extended the Stress-Test an extra hour yesterday.

Been playing the game fully maxed out on graphic settings(i7 core with ATI graphics card). Under-water combat  and PvP was the most fun that I had experiencing in a MMO for awhile now.

En-Masse still hasn't fixed their CheckSum Errors(besides a generic support topic) that been happening since Launch (February) and the issue is coming up once again for players now. So those who go to download the game may have to re-download a whole day or two's worth of a heavy GB all over again.

Also Nexus was horribly laggy and much bleeding from the servers(I question exactly what servers are being used to host this game to cause such lag) last time. A lag-spike would occur when Nexus was turned on across the servers.

Battle-Grounds may simply won't be enough to pull TERA out of it's slowly slumping medicore grind entertainment. It's a game that tells players "hit level 60 and that's where the fun begans".

GW2 says fun begans when you first log into the game.

Game-companies aren't going to admit this because it's PR but they've taken a hit from the economy too. Besides the constant cash-grab hit-and-runs and the greed(half-done games, ignoring,player-feedback which is paying for the game(It's free Debugging from the consumers!), over-all lazyness, poor-management, ect) doesn't help much either.

Games once use to be entertainments that were played for fun with the players in-mind. But more and more i've seen our games being turned into PR Hollywood Pillars than anything else. Their looked at now as big-cash cow tanks to rank in as many people as possible in a initial money-hit, rather than focusing on elements that made games fun in the first place that would draw people to the games(and keep them over-time).  That's why today there's still some SNES games out there now that are considered "cult hits" as old as they are compared to these recent MMO type flops.

Players just aren't coming out in bee-hives as much throwing money at these games anymore. They have jobs to work, some of them have lost their jobs. Some of them aren't getting that spend-spend money that they once gotten before. The game-industry is no longer a place where real gamers gathered to play games and made them.

It's becoming a little more apparent the game-world is now turning into a disfunction of real-life politics and corporation greed. Why should a player continue to invest money in companies(bad reputation) or games(poorly made) that are unsatisfory that's asking for more and more money? Hahaha!

TSW on Steam(when it was suppose to be one of those glorious "P2P" good games) already means that this game is on it's way out in the loosing streak.  Just because it has P2P slapped on it doesn't actually mean the game is good!

I feel that this publisher has been way too harsh on this game to began with and chocked the life and fun from it.

The way the Elin was being handled and censored was beyond ridicolous. I had fellow friends who were Otaku's who were literally clumped into an god-forsaken aweful category and dismissed by En-Masse Entertainment under the deogratory and accusing terms "Pedophiles" for just wanting to play a cartoon character inside a video-game.

Their sick of being mislabeled as customers for fictious games and characters and I wouldn't have felt no different. Shame some players out there vultured off the elin as a reason to go around attacking other players who simply wanted to play the video-game.

Followed by the constant attacks on the forums by those who just simply hate Korean Games and Anime to began with.

En-Masse Entertainment should have left TERA the way it was and embrace the fans who liked the game in the first place. Instead they went out their way trying to please a bunch of players off of Warcraft and League of Legends.

So what do those players do after they burned through TERA, made LFD an elite tool of mockery, and generally bash and bash and bash anyone who was an Otaku on those forums with nasty social attitudes?

They leave. And go to another game, unsatisfied that the game didn't give them all their "Western" raids, and "Content". And it's En-Masse's fault for advertising the game as "Westernized" in the first place and falling flat on it's face in the process after the initial hype wore off.

By you being a ***** as you are by posting your nonsese, I'd say you shouldn't even care for this game and should just not play it and leave it's forums immediately.  But, that's what I said.

It was a serious question no need to call profanities at me.

Ok, so she is an actress, Thanks.

There is nothing worse than watching someone on youtube that has 'no worth' relative to what their talking about, or holds no weight to their opinions because their not in the industry.

If she just did the voice for a couple of characters, Why would her opening a box hold any significance?

However, if you said that she is a professional actor that has multiple tv appearances and has been 'well renound' within the gaming industry maybe she has something relevant and meaning full to say.

By you being a ***** as you are by posting your nonsese, I'd say you shouldn't even care for this game and should just not play it and leave it's forums immediately. But, that's what I said

Yeah that makes a lot a sense: "your either with us or against us, and i think you should get the fuck out."

Real mature.

I don't know who this random chick is either(there's tons of voice-actors for these game characters). But all I can determine is that her youtube ratings are low.

This Felicia Day person is not someone I would say be on the level of popularity like Lady Gaga. I would supect besides from some fans she's just a minor actress(or a youtuber) voicing some game characters in GW2.

I agree, localization is not the same as censorship. People throw the censorship word around a lot and it's starting to lose its meaning.

Is some outside force, forcing a change on the game makers? Then no, it's not censorship.

Are the developers making the game culturally sensitive? Listening to potential buyers? Then it's localization.

On that note, afaik the only significant "censorship" in TERA was regarding the very culturally offensive "little girls in bikinis" outfits. I'd hardly call that giving in to prudishness on their part since TERA remains little more than an erotic fantasy slow-mo FPS.

Strange. I can still go to Gamespot and pick up HyperDimensionMK2, not to mention listen and watch a bunch of animes such as Dance in the Vampire Bund, Chobits, Strike-Witches and MoonPhase as licensed entertainment in the United States of America. Yet none of these games or medias have been censored, or banned. Yet TERA has been censored for the same exact content substance as the following titles above.

I believe this is where Culturally Offensive is a term thrown over to wash that fact that these games and characters exist and they have been for quiet some time. Fan-bases and genres which have been deemed as "niche" by this exclusive World of Warcraft MMO publishing company (less than a year old) and to please those who have problems with fictional entertainment along(busy bodies, people who don't have a problem shooting brains and guts all over the place but the moment an anime character comes along they freak out. But at the same time it's still okay to bash and hit those "little girl" characters in their skulls and bodies with over-sized swords and axes and burn them with fire.) with the exclusive world-of-warcraft casual attitude that goes along with gaming.

En-Masse Entertainment wanted casual players from World of Warcraft to play their game badly. They wanted to those numbers. It's their competition So they went out there way not only insulting Otakus on a generally asian-created game themed around moe characters and elements often seen in anime and manga, but also made political moves and statements that could now possibly affect up-coming titles for the rest of consumers in society who don't drag real-life into their gaming/entertainment worlds. The "main-stream" North American companies are stuck in World of Warcraft mode. And whatever does not fit in that profit formula of Warcraft is easily discarded. Sometimes the companies themselves are full of politics or personal dislike. En-Masse Entertainment had made sure to chase off potential elin-players at any given opportunity as well. Hence removing and deleting all the elin topics on the forums at any time as if warcraft is the only acceptable way of gaming. They made it as if asian games are almost a mistake to exist while other game companies show a more relaxed attitude about asian games.

I wouldn't go by nessecarily what a MMO company has done to a video-game as the standard determination of what should be and should not be considered fictional entertainment.

Controversy has always arise in video-games. When Mortal Kombat came out parents were freaking how the game was "too violent" and were trying to get it banned. Now compared to current games Mortal Kombat is a joke. Even the current God of War franchise is being affected now.

Freedom of expression is inetiviable in this Country's Fondation. Take that away and it ends up affecting everything around it. Even with titles that have become cult-hits such as Madoka Magica simply because of the existance of the character.

You have people in this country that are still offended by homosexuals(Chik-Fil-A for instance). Does that mean EA must suddenly stop creating their games with these characters because there are those out there who'll be offended? What about those who are offended by the amount of violence in video-games? Should games stop being violent because someone is offended(no more blood, no more head-shots, no more exploding bodies and screaming npcs)? Should fictious Anime be banned or censored mindlessly because someone is offended(even with the standard ratings)?

No, it shouldn't just happen at the flick of a wrist. And MMO companies shouldn't be the determination of that as a whole.
