Originally posted by Grunties Yup, I never played America Onlines Neverwinter Nights, but I can definitely relate with the feeling of how realistic old games were to us back then. I personally think that GW2 is another leap in the right direction. Hopefully this doesn't end with GW2 but continues with many more games not just copying GW2 but deciding to do their own thing and venture outside the box! |

Originally posted by Golbeza Agreed. I will say that I'm getting a lot of the same feelings I had when I first discovered the wonderful world of WOW. Grant it, WOW is not even the shadow of what it used to be, but still, I have great memories from that game. GW2 is my new "wow". |

Originally posted by eyelolled My first ever mmorpg was ROSE Online. My first mmorpg that was worth playing was WOW (pre-cata). Now it's GW2 for me! :-) |

Originally posted by SuprGamerX Some devs make money in order to make games, while other devs make games in order to make money. I don't know the hearts of both of these guys and can't read their minds, but if I had to wager, I would bet David cares more about the game while Jay cares more about the money. |

Originally posted by Psychow Well... back in reality, the RMAH was not a raving success. Though most likely not the only reason as to why David said the things he said, I'm sure it was on the top of the list. |

Originally posted by itgrowls It's interesting though, because David brevik is somewhat becoming the "voice" of the silent majority with regards to the Diablo fan-base. I'm very dissapointed by Jay's response and the attitude of some of other devs. This issue is clearly a personal one for these people. |

Originally posted by Psychow I agree to a certain point. It's obvious that David and Jay care a lot about their "babies", having said that, yes... I'd say they are acting somewhat childish. However, I think that David was a bit more "diplomatic" than Jay, but not by much haha. |

Originally posted by atticusbc Agreed. Though this is primarily Blizzard's D3 crew and not WOW's crew, I think it does speak volumes as to the degree of "decay" within Blizzard. I already wasn't going to continue playing WOW, due to GW2, but after reading this article and seeing the attitude of many of these devs, I'm somewhat disgusted with Blizzard (very much to the same degree as EA disgusts me). Sad... so sad. |

Originally posted by VengeSunsoar very good points. I hope there is a way to measure the active playerbase of GW2; I would really like to know how both games compare to each other. |

Originally posted by Wolfenpride It's not just how much free time you have, it's also how much your free time is worth? If you're paying 15 bucks a month to play wow, but only play a couple hours a week (or every two weeks), I would argue its not worth paying a monthly sub. That is the brilliant aspect of GW2, it allows you to play as much or as little as you please without the guilt of quantifying the value of your gaming time. |
