Well met gang.
I played very briefly at release and now I just signed up a week ago for the trial, to check things out again. Something I noticed... I got a usable axe dropped as loot on the newbie island. Now... I couldn't barely lift it let alone equip it (I'm a frail mage ya know!) but it lists classes that can use it. It's nothing fancy, just a refurbished axe of some sort (I forget at the moment what the exact name is). My question on this is, does HZ have usable loot that drops from mobs now? Or did something weird happen with me? (I could have sworn it dropped as loot! :) ) I don't remember this game having dropped usable loot. Also... I see that Shaman is a prestige class. I'd like to make one. Do I start as a cleric? I found a list of all of the classes on GI.n but I can't seem to locate a tree that shows what starting class leads to which prestige class. I created a trial account and downloaded the client while the game was down for maintenance.

I don't play this game but here's a post on their front page that explains why yesterday's maintenance was moved to today and that it's a big one and will down for an extended time.

Aye!
I've been playing very casually for the past week or two. I'm only level 25 in Offensive and Defensive magic, and level 20ish in harveting and crafting, but I will say that i am having a ton of fun! Exploring is truly a blessing in this game. The world is rich and alive, the weather systems are awesome, the seasonal changes are completely immersive! Ryzom may not be for everyone, but it's definitely for me! |

You wouldn't happen to using FireFox would you? I once had a bear of a time with one of those codes (different game) and finally I loaded up Internet Explorer and tried it and it worked fine. For some reason, FireFox wasn't agreeing with this code for me. |

Welcome to Atys :) I'm fairly neww myself, so I am not going to be of much help... but I wanted to say hell :) I do know that armor has different bonuses and penalties. I don't think there are any thief type skills like backstab or pickpocket or anything like that. Hopefully you feel like I do after a few days of playing...
