General: Troy Online - An Interview With Sejin Park
News Discussion « General Discussion 8/05/11 9:51:46 PM
I played a bit of the Closed Beta, wish I played more of it but was having internet issues at the time. Defintely was different and a bit more interesting than certain MMORPG's I've played without a doubt. Enjoyed the interview and looking forward to the Open Beta. Curious to see how the Chariot and Sieging plays out. I know they say PvP depends a lot on skill and tactics, but if you think about it, chances are a higher level player is going to be stronger when it comes to skills in the game itself. I mean say for example if I attacked a player in the back and it gave me like a critical attack, but I was a low level and they were a high level. Chances are their defense and my attack is going to make the damage not be all that strong. I'm sure tactics and strategies will probably play a lot more in the siege battles though or total war which I'd like to see. |

Thanks for making the article, it's informative and those few tips of advice can go a long way. Going to try and plan out how I'm going to write out an article reviewing a MMORPG for an application. Probably get an outline set up and then go from there. But yeah, definitely have to catch the reader's attention, has to be something that makes this paragraph stand out from someone elses. Don't make it a hex to read a review, have fun with it when you write it so the reader can as well. |

I can imagine it now, do a backflip with Kinect in order to do a flip in a game. =P |

Originally posted by GTwander You can play in peaceful difficulty or play in the other difficulties creating the survival mode. Which adds skeletons and zombies into the game. Which you can then fight off with tools you create or materials you gather. I didn't play it, but I've watched through my brother. |

They have classic, but that drops the whole survival system, tools, etc. But, you could try playing around with Sauerbraten. It's different, but if you're into the building aspect, Sauerbraten gives you a more advanced system and once you get used to certain hotkeys it's simple to use. |

I personally haven't played for a while, so I wouldn't be a great source, but I personally would think they wouldn't wipe it. If anything probably like once a year, since it can get really crowded. Like you've gotta walk really far if you want to expect nobody. But that's a good thing about the game, it's like huge, and it's a great environment. |

If a new company takes over I guarantee you this game would sky rocket. More updates would come in for sure. If updates come into the game like more things to do, somewhat better graphics, and lower the price to play or even make it free that'd get a good population in. |

Great idea but very bad grafics

If they increase the graphics chances are it'll help raise how good it is. Considering you'll be looking and the environment and the things you build often throughout the game. So you should at least be able to enjoy what you see and see that it's worth it. I personally think they should lower the price monthly on the game though. Pretty high. |

If you did get a virus it probably was trying to download products making your computer worse. Including your antivirus software turning on and off, the virus was probably screwing with the files in order to make it so it can't get rid of the virus. I wouldn't know if you did get a virus from this game, but I do believe if you did chances are that virus is smart enough to edit your files and download more viruses/trojans/etc. |

Thanks, and mind me asking something else as well. What's the story behind Anarchy Online being free for whatever reason. I hadn't caught that. Is it that you can pay for the expansions along with the game, or play free with no expansions? |
|
|
The title says most of what's needed to be said. I've never played Anarchy Online before, and I'm debating whether I should or shouldn't play. So I'd like to hear from those of you who play, played, or quit. Then hear what you like and what you don't like.
So what I'm asking is, what's great about Anarchy Online and what isn't great. |

- It's a browser game, so you wouldn't get a virus/etc. as easily as a downloaded game. - It's decent - It has an active forum - It's mainly free. Yes, you can pay for membership, but that's for more stuff. Sort of benefits. If you don't pay you still get a lot. - It has several things to do. - Graphics don't suck, but they're not incredible either. - Several other reasons as well. |

72-Hour Tempban! For....
General Discussion « Pirates of the Caribbean Online 3/08/08 5:58:57 PM
Yeah, as said, you could be cursing/swearing at a little kid. Think about it, kids probably over populate teen agers playing this. So chances are you're talking to a kid.
And whether private or personal chat, it's still cursing. The game prohibits cursing overall. So just don't curse, you're not supposed to, you're not allowed to, and now you've been warned with a 72 Hour ban. That's you're fault. Now you know to obey their rules. |

And if this game is based on "Pirates" I think there's going to be some violence and drinking. As far as tobbaco, that might be a bit far. ------------------------------------------------------------ And finally, if you've only played for a week and only experienced the free version, you shouldn't criticize it so much. And as from seeing you're post, you're pretty screwed up yourself. |

If they lowered the prices it would raise the chances of people to play.
I actually thought of playing myself. I played it a while ago. Pretty fun game.

If you guys haven't realized, it's back up. I headed over to the site news, and saw that it was. If something happened and it's down again for some reason, sorry for the wrong info. But I believe it's up. |

I myself played when it was free and when Ashen Empires was called Dransik instead. And when the owner was different. Once it was pay to play, I ended up stopping. But I always got the urge to play, so I ended up paying for a little. And now I'm getting the urge to again, and I just may end up paying. The only annoying part is, now there are several expansions, so now you could miss out on a bunch of junk. Problem is, if you plan to pay for a month or three. But you want to do the things with the expansion packs, unfortunately you'd pay $20 on an expansion and then in the month or so, you'd realize you wasted the expansion pretty much. Well anyway, Ashen Empires is a good game. Good community as said. Don't find too many idiots around, well I don't anyway. Last time I checked, they had a good moderation team going around under a certain name. Good gameplay. Several monsters, several things to do, several quests, always something to do. Ashen Empires overall is great. Coming from another person, try it out if you haven't already. So you people know, you may see me in game as Jethro/Snakester/Snakesta. '
