You've got a bit too much speculation going on in your post. The few hours bit is irrelevant, and it was mostly due to frustration with the poorly designed user-interface - frustration that led to creation of a guide to help new players better navigate their first few hours in the game. The clan leader's job didn't 'end' in any sort of way that could be interpreted as contributing towards being 'over the edge.' The dude said he was returning to college after engaging in necessary fieldwork  within his profession.

He didn't quit the game due to being ganked - that's something that has happened quite a few times before this specific instance and would have happened many times in the future. He quit because he said that, despite enjoying the game overall, he didn't see much of a future in it in terms of content due to the nature of content with relation to the value in zerging everything, which is a fairly reasonable complaint to have about the game. From what I've heard, it wasn't his intent to quit as soon as he did, but there was some fairly homoerotic events occurring in the TeamSpeak server. There was a somewhat heated conversation occurring and some random dude - presumably a new guy - kept interrupting the clan leader out of nowhere and it was getting pretty annoying. Voice your opinion, right, but wait until there's a pause in the conversation or something. So anyway, that dude ended up getting moved out of the channel by the clan leader and, as a result, the dude began cursing the clan leader off in private messages, so he got kicked from the clan. After that, this dude Drew who runs a Minecraft server based on Game of Tards began crying in clan chat about how 'fucked up that was to move and subsequently kick the kid,' and that he didn't sign up to be a part of this 'elitist bullshit' or something like that. So then Drew was like, 'You know what? Kick me too then.' - to which the clan leader explained he was not going to kick him over something as stupid as that. However, after repeatedly nagging to be kicked, he was kicked (big surprise). It was actually pretty funny because, after being kicked, he was all like 'I wish you didn't kick me man - I was testing you.' Anyways, after that nonsense two Australian kids started foaming at the mouth because they lost their threesome partner, and so they cursed up a storm in clan chat and left. Considering that he was contemplating quitting the game anyway, I suppose he figured that all of this drama would be a fine time to just dip out. He distributed clan bank contents to active members of the clan and gave them his blessing to recreate a new clan and whatnot, and that was that.

All this thing you mentioned is actually reinforcing what I said.  The kid (Nekrage or whatever his name was)  never had any leadership skill, and definitely lacked the mental stability/maturity to run a guild.  These situation you described are actually very common in every guild.   FYI he is a steam user and in future if he open another guild in another game, he will be judged  and will have tons of credibility issue.

I am sorry but I disagree.  I blame no one but myself for incompetence!  It is not personal if 90K jumped on a 5K but on a fair fight it is super personal!

From the steam thread the guild name was apparently Oran Thul I'm a vet and have never heard of or seen this guild in game. Join an established darkfall guild one that has roots in the original game and has a core of vets.  These guilds will be fairly stable and at least will have stable leadership.  At the same time they will be able to provide you with training and insight into how the game should actually be played.   Just head over to the Darkfall forums and browse the recruitment section there are plenty of guilds that are noob friendly and will provide you with a stable and fun environment.

 I was in this clan. Its a damn shame really because he was pretty good and the people in said clan were cool as fuck. However lack of sleep, retarded ganks, bad feat system and steam issues probably pushed him over the edge. 

No, the clan leader was over the edge from the very beginning.  Sources says his job ended and was apparently playing 20+ hours a day to "catch" to other big clan.  According to recruitment post, the guild master almost quit after playing for few hours, but then he got hooked.  This is a classic example of a clan leader who lack mental strength to be a true leader in a full loot open pvp game. 

Dark Fall Unholy Wars Scheduled Content Updates

Today we’ll give you a look into some of our scheduled updates for the next couple of months. This is something we've never done before, but it is the way we want things for Darkfall Unholy Wars, involving the community, our players, in our future plans.

These are just some of the things we have planned that we’re reasonably sure will be added to the game according to the schedule. There is also a “Community Issues” component in our content updates and patches that will be addressing player concerns, issues and working on player suggestions on a regular basis. You can see an example of the kind of content this includes in the first update on the 3d week of May.

I will stress again that this list is not exhaustive. We will be adding a lot more to every update and we’ll more updates and patches than the ones listed here. We're giving you an idea so that we can maintain a discussion on things to come based on insight and scheduled updates.

May Week 3:

The third week of May we’re adding our first major Dungeon and addressing a several community issues we had prioritized. This update among other things will include:

New Troll monsters
New Zombie monsters
New Troll Lord monster
New Cave Troll Monsters
New Dungeon: Irendir



Community Issues:

Party Kill Round Robin: We’re implementing a party distribution system that operates in a round robin fashion.
Holding Protection Shards: We’re implementing a protection shard mechanic that operates through the clan GUI and uses Dominion Points.
Territory Control map painting: We’ve been investigating the possibility of painting territories on the map. This is more a visual enhancement rather than an actual gameplay effect
Clan holding improved crafting: The purpose is implementing crafting operations in clan holdings that also more efficient, costing less gold, and having a higher success rate. This is one of the measures to be taken to increase clan holding worth.
New Unique Resources: We will have several (at least 10) completely new unique resources that will be used as special rewards.
Smaller Strong Boxes: Their current size allows players to block passages with them and this was obviously not their intended use.
Reduced Building Costs: Clan holding building costs are to be reduced, as well as clan holding building hit points, and increased dominion gained when destroying clan holding buildings.



May, week 4:

This is the week where the 3d Elementalist School is completed and added to the game. Also some more of the scheduled additions include:

New Malaut Monsters
Monster boss for Broadherne, called “Below Whisperer”
Monster boss for Broadherne called “Below Nightmare”



June, week 1:

This week we will address prioritized community issues, suggestions, and concerns.
This is also the week which kicks off the Naval Era for Darkfall Unholy Wars and we will be adding a new Warship to the game.

June, week 2:

We will be adding another Warship to the game
New monsters: a mix of Trolls and Spiders

June, week 3:



This week we’re adding the Markets to the game after a lot of work that was needed to complete them.
We will also add the 3d Warrior School.
We’re adding a new major dungeon, Marthnyr
Another major dungeon, Hardruk.
We will be addressing a list of prioritised community issues
We will add another Warship to the game.
New monsters: 2 Cave Hags
New Boss monster: Cave Hag Boss



June, week 4:

This week we’ll be adding the 3d Skirmisher School
We’re also adding a fourth Warship.

July, week 2:



This week we’re adding the 3d Primalist School and all roles will now have 3 schools each.
We’re also adding another dungeon: Svartvann
New Monsters: Icejarl
We’ll also be addressing a variety of prioritized community issues.



July, week 3
This is the the apex of the naval war era and we’re adding Sea Fortresses
We’re also adding the new Backpack
Big Boss, the Ragaizan.

July, week 4:

We’re adding Resource Monoliths to the game with all the implications these have for PvP
We’re adding Utility Ships
A new dungeon: Dulguna
New monsters, Melechars Family
The Bloodknight
We’re also going to address a variety of prioritized community issues.



That’s just a brief presentation of some of the things to come, and a taste of how we’re going to proceed with adding content to the game as well as the frequency of the content updates. As I mentioned above, this is far from being a complete list. We will be working well outside the things we’ve included here and we will go into detail in the days and weeks to come, explaining everything and interacting with the community.

I've got an eye on it, but have yet to decide if the game/company deserves my money.  Time will tell.

AV is a small company that is struggling to keep up with today's MMO generation.  

However what are the alternative?  Blizzard? NCsoft? EA? Zenimax?  None of these companies are willing to take any risk and try something very different.  AV done it and hopefully the niche population will stick with them and support them.

Yes that is true, my recent games been WoW, TSW, GW2, TERA where crafting has no real meaning (unless GW2 endless griding means something)  :-)

Q) My prowess gain seems to be very slow.  I have seens players with 24k and even 49k.  What are best way to gain (power level) Prowess? 

If you want open world pvp, deep crafting, full loot pvp, non carebear (dumb down) game then there are very few alternative. There are many short coming in this game, however I loving it so far.  

You can't nick pick every single thing in a game.....world is not perfect.  So far I am loving my experience.  When server is down, I jump on my Panda as backup :-)

Is this going to be better then DF1?  After playing a week, I knew GW2 was not my cup of tea.  Those of you who been playing, is DFUW a keeper or is the novelty off?
