If you can't see how this gives an advantage in pvp then yes, yes you are missing something.  Any form of logical thought on this matter from anyone who has pvp'd in mmo for any length of time will reveal why this is an advantage.

And why, as a melee character, would I disable something that others use and gives them an advantage?  Why would i, or anyone else for that matter, gimp themselves in that way?'

The point is the advantage it gives in pvp and takes away a lvl of skill needed to stick to your target and fight during pvp.  It should be removed all together.

I have been searching as well. Amazon had a CD but they are discontinued so no luck here either. I am wondering if someone out there knows a good location to purchase her music at?

Dosen't bother me at all but the one thing i would like to see would be this >

Have the items that were bought and the ones that were earned have the same exact model and stats but have them be a different colour or mabye a wierd glow effect or some such so you can tell who bought their way through and who "earned" it.

Oh and the difference between an EU and NA "client" is an adjustment in a config file.  You honestly think that bullshit is worth another 50$??  They are trying to scam a buck and its wrong.  Just plain wrong.

You know, I never bothered to get in the middle of this stuff on the forums here.  I bought the game and liked it and thought all the haters here were just a bunch of gits, and tho some still are, now i just feel... scammed.

I used to stick up for DF to my friends.  I was wrong, they were right, fuck this company and it's game.

No, actually it always charges you at the start of month. The example was bad, because in the FFXI system if you signed up on 1st of Feb, you get recharged on the 1st of March. However if you start on 28th of Feb, you get charged on 1st of March still. They want to change this for FFXIV. If you sign up on 28th of Feb, you'd get charged on 28th of March with the new system.

^^ This, its not a pay by day system they are just doing away with the horrible playonline billing system that would charge you 12,95$ for a month even if you started in the middle of the month then charge you 12,95 again on the first.   Its now going to be like every other mmo out there where u pay for your month and it starts that day and dosent charge again till 30 days later.

Amen man couldn't have said it better myself.  You sir win this thread.  You can see that both care and a great deal of thought went into making this game from the moment u start the tutorial.  As for the last line in your post, that is precisely why I hardly come to this site anymore.  EVERY SINGLE MMO, even wow which has over 11 million people playing it, has been a total and complete failure according to this damn site.  Its rather sad.

What is the difference between this and voyage century? What sets the two apart from each other?

I was in this situation a few days ago.  I just couldn't make up my mind about what I wanted to play.  If you want my honest opinion I would tell you to just flat out stop listening to other ppl, especially ppl on this site.

This site is nothing but a bunch of whiners and trolls.  It's down right sad to see what has happened here. Use it for general info, dev interviews, stuff like that but stay away from the forums.

As for what game to play? In my honest opinion WAR bores me to tears.  I just recently went back to AoC and I'm very glad I did.  Don't believe what the haters here say about the game.  Try it for yourself.  If you have the comp to run it you wont be disappointed.  In the end tho just play whatever makes you happy.  If your having fun who gives a shit what other ppl say.

*Edit* Both games saw server merges btw.  It has really made a huge difference in server pops in both games.  In a good way =P

Guys I'm at a loss.  For the past week I have been staring at the boxes inside my game cabinet.  I want to pick up and play an mmo again but I just can't decide which one to give another go.  I only want to play just one and commit my time to it. 

Here is what I have narrowed it down to and the trouble I am having with each game.

LotRO - I WANT so bad to get into it but at times it just gets plain boring.  If I played again I would have to find a good kin I think that was very social and heavy RP to really get back into the feel of middle earth and really enjoy the game.

WoW - The only reason I think I want to go back to WoW is because I have so many high lvl's already and its just so familiar but that is also the problem that sent me away from it before.  My mind is sayin, "just start fresh, mabye alliance side and it will be different" but will it really?

AOC - I always liked this game.  Saturated with story and a whole lotta atmosphere.  Problems here tho are obvious but I'm tempted after all the positive things I have heard over the past several months.  How is the RP?  Any good?

EQ2 - Quests for days, I hear the RP is good on the AB server and the crafting is still top notch. However I am a day 1 swg vet and still a lil upset and the new cash shop, even if it is just fluff, puts me off.  Also I heard the population is a bit light. 

Anywho this is a little of what is running through my head and why I am having so hard a time choosing.  Help me! lol 

If any of you have any insight on any of the games above or any good suggestions why one is better then the other post it up!
