Got news for those who think the game is P2W? P2W games do not give away free sh*t. |

[Silly Poll] Where are the WoW players going?
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 5/09/13 3:51:06 PM
The majority of thsoe lost subs were because the 1 year subscription from Diablo ended in May.
The majority of thsoe people left already and are enjoying themselves in games such as GW2, AoW, DF and NWO to name a few. |

Is All PVP Still Restricted To Cyrodiil? If It Is Im Not Buying This Game
General Discussion « Elder Scrolls Online 5/08/13 6:14:28 PM
Originally posted by Shadanwolf Yup, wish more people would actually read a game's F.A.Q. and core features, would save a lot of heart ache in the long run. Its like buying Darkfall and bitching because of FFA Full Loot PvP and complaining about it ad-naseum on the forums. Then again I do not put much stock in the average gamer, especially MMO gamer since the majority of them refuse to do a modicum of research of a game. |

Chances are skills that add a CC effect will cost greater amounts of resources compared to Damage abilities. Best way I can think of them balancing CC.

Finally a game will have Asheron's Call style loot pinatas and give min/max'ers all the more reason to continue to play the game. This is 1 of those things I thought I would never ever see in an MMO ever again. Color me extremely excited and hyped for this game. Once again ZOS pulls no punches when it comes to designing an MMO for the future!! Words can't express how excited for this game because of this. |

Originally posted by MMOExposed I don't agree with you often but absolutely agree 100%. Combat and Character Animations are the #1 deal breaker for me. I would also add that Rift's animations were severely lacking as well which resulted in my discontinue of playing. WoW, GW2 (non Dual Wield) and now Neverwinter ought to be the standard for combat animations IMO. |

Neverwinter has like 12 dungeons and Heroic version of each of those. Gauntlgrym hasn't even been released yet. Then on top of that there is the Foundry, quite a few missions and campaigns already implemented and more coming online every day. Best and most varied content of any MMO I've played since WoW.

World of Warcraft: Down to Eight Million Subscribers
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 5/08/13 4:04:02 PM
Of the 8 million I would wager only about 2-3 million are US and EU but of course we'll never know. Buddy of mine I work with says his server is a ghost town.

Originally posted by Thresh Can still play the game with $0.00 spent. Neverwinter is P4C not P2W. Where P4C = Pay For Convience. In fact if one spent just $15 a month on Astral Diamonds, one could aquire all the riches of the game in a modern MMO timeframe. Want to get the best enchantments and best upgrades right away as soon as you aquire a piece of gear, expect to skip the wait and buy the AD to upgrade now.
Its as simple as that. I love this system so much more because it offers someone like me the choice to transfer real life $$$ into in game choice. |

PWE Banning Players For Playing Foundation Missions

Originally posted by Ikeda FYI I leveled a Control Wizard from 1 to 60 in less then a day through exploitive foundry missions that stacked 50 Ogres on top of each other in a small box surrounded by traps and/or walls.
This change was needed but I'm not gonna lie, its nice having a max level PvP toon. |

Sandbox MMOs wouldn't fail and die if they offered lots of solo content
The Pub at MMORPG.COM « General Discussion 5/07/13 7:57:09 PM
Originally posted by TheScavenger Wrong, Wrong, Wrong on so many levels. Asheron's Call was the 1st MMO to offer solo content.
As for the rest of your statement. Sandbox MMO's fail because they either offer unmitigated PvP (usually in the full loot FFA varity) or focus all their efforts on systems that don't mean a whole hell of a lot in the grand scheme of things. Basically read my sig to understand why sandbox fail.
A PvE combat centric, questing, open ended, non-linear Sandbox is the only sandbox that will ever amount to "success". |

Subscription is dead. Only room for a few subscription games and WoW and Eve have those people. F2P is the future, which is odd because it ought to of been the past considering every other gaming genre has never had a subscription. Do not recall ever paying for a subscription while playing Mortal Kombat or Madden NFL.

How far can you get on 24K Astral Diamonds per day ?
General Discussion « Neverwinter 5/04/13 10:21:59 PM
Pretty damn far. I bought a Pair of Very Rare (Purple Epic) Gauntlets that had over 500 power and 400 defense for 78k today. Thats 3 days of farming for an epic quality item. Some of the harder stuff might take you a month. If you want it free, expect to play for a bit to get the items you want. As I've said on numerous occasions, the game is Pay for Convience.
(BTW those gaunts are best in slot for me, as Power & Defense [Defense converts to Power in my build] are mue bueno) |

They just took it down for 4 hours - 11PM to 3AM on a Sat night!
General Discussion « Neverwinter 5/04/13 10:17:33 PM
You do realize this isn't prime time for everyone right?
Since the game launched they have done good at rotating maintenance times to not alienate any particular country. EO at work IMO. Use the time to go out and have fun, it isn't the end of the world. |

Originally posted by jybgess I play a GWF and let me just say, yes the early levels are a chore and needs to be fixed but endgame they really shine. Weapon Master Strike (Paragon at will that debuffs the enemy's resistance and is AOE) + Steel Blitz (Paragon Passive that gives you a chance to proc [old school WoW shaman windfury] extra attacks = epic win.
TR's are very strong but unless your in a dedicated group expect your dungeon queues to reach hour+ lengths. Clerics and Guardians are just as strong and are in high demand. I rerolled a Cleric for soloing when my guildies are not online to group with. |

[Review] Age of Wushu: Potentially Great
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 5/04/13 3:34:54 PM
I really wanted to like the game but I suppose I am a product of the new MMO generation (even though Ive been playing since Asheron's Call in 1999). I prefer systems and structures in place that are easy to use but hard to master. AoW has way to much depth and it is too daunting to learn something complex before you can get to the fun. I prefer jumping in, playing and being remotely knowledgeable at the start. I do not like having to learn new thingsand commit to muscle memory things that should be and could be more easy.

Originally posted by Vigg While some dungeons can be ran with no trinity (albeit without good results but still possible) the higher end dungeons most def require a trinity. Might I add, the harder dungeons are more suited to having and some even require you have addtional roles. Like Crowd Control and AOE DPS. In fact the vast majority of the heroic dungeons run better and smoother with a Guardian Fighter (Tank), Devoted Cleric (Healer & AOE DPS), Trickster Rogue (Burst DPS for Add phases), Great Weapon Fighter (AOE DPS and Off tanking adds) and Control Wizard (Crowd Control). |
