Anyone from the UK or Canada offer their experienced opinion on Health Care
Religion & Politics « General Discussion 8/18/09 5:14:30 PM
I do not live in Canada but when I was a Priest in Philadelphia we had a ministry for those in Canada who could not get healthcare because they were deem "too old" "not as important" etc etc We saved a lot of lives of people who would have died if they waited for their turn in the Canadian Medical System. I'm glad to have been part of that awesome ministry and it made me realize how bad government run healthcare really is |

She's also angier than hell with what Obama is trying to do to Healthcare. She said its one of the most stupidest things she has seen in a good long time. |

Originally posted by clwoods Everyone else has posted pretty lengthy answers, and I'm not in the mood to read them, so I'm going to answer your question in a short manner and move on.
Common people, most at least, believe in God. Republicans play the God and Religion cards, so the common man follows believing them on other aspects because they proclaim piousness so heavily that people don't want to doubt their sincerity. The common man is then spoon fed the other ideas that Republicans want implanted in their heads. Christianity plays to a flock mentality, so does the Republican party.
Again I haven't read anything anyone else has written, but I know what I've written is true.
lol did you even read the OP statement and question? brain cells man!!! use em! |

Housing foreclosures rising, double digit unemployment, Obama's bailouts impotent
Religion & Politics « General Discussion 8/13/09 12:55:33 PM
I just don't see how people can still embrace the current administration as the answer to this. Furthermore, I simply cannot see how people still embrace Obama. I mean, in my opinion, you have to be either brain dead, brainwashed, stupid, dead, or fanatically loyal to even see that that this guy is going down the right path. At least, the good news is out of all this mess, my family who did voted for Obama realized they made a mistake. At least I know my family aren't nuts. My mom was so right when she told me a sucker is born everyminute. It happened in Germany in the 30s. Im sure itll happen again. Idiots everywhere no matter the timeline or country. |

Ok, so I read the "article" that Dana wrote. Have to say, I am really surprised how much the standards for MMORPG have dropped since I was staff here. When staff wrote articles, opinions, reviews, etc., we had to be DAMN sure we covered all points of area in which we were writing about. I remembered when I was writing the Star Wars review for the NGE, Dana kept on telling me "remember, don't be overly harsh, make sure you put in some good points too." Looks like Dana has flushed these ideas down the toilet. Frankly, I am shocked that Admin even let that article surfaced. Did Craig even looked at the article? I am not a roleplayer but, damn, after reading that article I know Dana hates them. Good for Dana, but he needs to keep his little prejudices to himself and not use his title to push his trollish agendas. The article really needs to be taken off the website as it reflects mmorpg.com. If you guys don't know what Im talking about, its the first article on the home page. come on, mmorpg.com, put some hair on your chest and take care of this article. You all know damn well if this came from a regular member, it would have never been published. /rant off
PS: ironic thing is I bet this thread will be closed instead ;) |

Gee, you think? You're entitled to your opinion but using your staff "powers" to make an article bashing a legit group of people deserves to be locked. Your thread was created to formally debate the topic. It was created because you got pissed off by a RPer and you excerised your title here to make the biggest damn thread about it. Dana, remember when you rode my ass because you thought I did not spot check my star wars review as there was a couple grammar errors? Well, Karma sucks doesn't it? lol. This "editorial opinion" should be locked for trolling. |

General: Massey: The Myth of Role-Playing Servers
News Discussion « General Discussion 7/11/09 9:50:36 PM
Dana must be menstrating right now because that article was just screaming "I am really pissed off because some RPer pissed me off ingame." Dana could not be more wrong in his article. I have seen MANY roleplayers that contradict everything in his article. Dane, if someone miffed you off in the game, settle it with that person. Don't write up an article about it because when people who are angry write articles, more times than not, the article will appear to be down right retarded. Like this article. Sorry, man. Worse article I have seen on mmorpg.com. |

I like to kill the work day here myself. It's fun, and I've actually thought more and studied more here than I had before while playing mmo's. I've read the constitution twice, the decleration of independance, decided that I'm no longer republican and many more here at this site. Politics is always relevant.
Its ok, Sargoth. Judging by your response you must be an avid political poster. Its ok :) |

So I take a 3 month hiatus from the site and see nothing much has changed....only different people posting the same rhetoric lol You'd think the political BS stuff would have gotten old by now. Ah well.

this isn't directed to you personally: but, that was a pretty retarded argument for bringing home the troops. Murder happens all the time in all venues. |

Well, I sold my gaming laptop for a beautiful professional violin. I have been doing some pretty intense self reflection over the last few months. During the last few months I have lost over 50 pounds and discovered many hobbies that were lost in the way of gaming and all of this was done just by shutting the lid of my laptop. I played the trumpet for 20 years and forgot how much I loved playing music. So, I sold my laptop and got myself a nice violin and a great teacher. Im not saying gaming sucks, but I was so neck deep in it, it virtually sucked all other hobbies out of me. I feel free in a unique sort of way.
