Ah, the ever-promised faction warfare. If they pull it off, I might have to start playing again. |

I loved EVE Online when I played it, but the economic part just didn't work out too well. In the real world, there are millions of different products you can make such as food, chocolate, things to support life. Eve, however, only has goods that directly relate to combat or making money. This means that anyone starting out will either have to sell things at a barren location where no one goes, or have to find another job/hobby. Consumables other than ammo would make EVE much better, IMO. Imagine the market for oxygen. >:) I also agree with wishing I was playing from day 1. |

Buh bye. Please trash all your Tech 2 BPOs so some of us low-lifes can have a chance. |

The reason they haven't been released is that they haven't been taken. The server is forcing clients to the bare minimum (or whatever they want tested at the time) so they can test other things. Graphics is a low-priority for RB next to playibility. |

Buying from RB is not the only way to obtain sesterces. If you have some form of ingame income (famous gladiator, farmer, blacksmith) then depending on how well your venture is going, you should be able to stop buying from RB and live off your income. |

There's an "Attending" status in RV that you get when you start playing. For romans, this is when you're a slave. When Barbarian, this means when you're under the tutelage of a guide. During this time you are not considered to be PvP, which means that players can not attack you. This gives players a nice time to get to learn the game and practice their sword skills (if they so choose). |

Sheesh, you could at least acknowledge the original writer of the post, me. Jorev, I believe the idea to let some people start early is great. Since this game is, for the most part, player to player interaction, someone needs to have some things crafted for everyone else to buy. |

I'm sorry if KFR or Kanoth wanted to post this...but this has to get out. Translation: Costs: Note: Pre-orders will be limited in a first come, first serve manner. All Pre-orders will be inducted into the Commercial Test until release. Also, please realize that this is not set in complete stone, AFAIK, but it's the most (only) concrete thing we've heard from KFR lately. |

So they're finally crumbling to the pressure? I'm amazed they've held up this long. It seems as if the age of Instas is over (depending on how the work this). |

A way to customize the actual looks of ships would be nice...but when do you ever actually look at someone elses ship? Eh, might be good for the market though. |

I love EVE to death...but there's a reason that it can easily have stunning graphics: There's no ground! This means no trees, no bushes, no graphics... The skybox is static, you don't see anything more than 200k (?) away, and it's a pretty damn big game. Still love it to death though. |

Overall it sounds great. HUGE Plus: "An Eye for an Eye: You are allowed to revenge the unlawful destruction of your ship" Maybe good...will probably hear a lot of outcry from certain groups: "Jettisoned Canister Flagging: Removing the contents of a jettisoned canister that is not your own will flag you as a thief" Keeps looking better...I might have to resub one day. |

I personally feel that since games keep getting more and more item-orientated, that full-loot will become a prerequisite for any game that has player crafting. Otherwise, the market becomes unbelievably flooded with goods that just sit there for years. When I played EQ, I went out of my way to buy some of the cheapest stuff in the bazaar and destroy it, just so you could stop getting a really good lvl 5 weapon for 10g. |

Well, in the US copyrights are good for the lifetime of the company +50 years... at least with books. Anyways, 't'would be kickass if E&B was ressurected. Just uh...don't say anything about the team members once it's going...that's how these things go down-hill very fast. |

It's more like the Devs hope to have it out by then. If that will happen . . . *shrug* Just keep in mind that if it doesn't happen, it's not unlike any other game company. Hardly will you find developers who can stay to a strict release schedule while producing quality material. And it's not like RV has "Gone Gold" yet. |

You'd think that they would eventually just ditch the entire engine and start from scratch. |
