Originally posted by Mors.Magne You wont get a response because you mentioned SWG. It doesnt make sense to take what works in other games and implement it in your current game. Oh no we cant do that.....lol |

[Column] Star Wars: The Old Republic: SWG Features I’d Love to See in SWTOR
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 10/12/12 7:49:00 AM
I agree with this article but the crafting needs to be included. I really loved the crafting in SWG. TOR's crafting is not that great. I am glad i dont have to stand next to nodes but it still is not as personal as most MMO's with crafting. There is no personal touch to what you make. SWG had a great crafting system.

would you support a site boycotting swtor and exposing it for what it is?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 10/08/12 8:18:59 PM
Hey I would support you in whatever you decide but truth is, I dont think it would accomplish much. It would be a site for those upset about the game to go and rant but it will not sway the company from making changes. Sad part is, us players dont have as much say in dev, as we are led to believe. Also why create it when MMORPG.com has all the nay sayers on it anyways. Every game that is announced or in development gets a Fail post immediately and than people go on ranting about the sorry state of the game. All of us who played TOR know what it isnt and we all know it will never be what we had hoped it to be. We just either play it or walk away sad. Good luck to you though and I honestly do feel your Star Wars MMO pain.

Thumbs up to that but I would be very worried about who and how this game would turn out. STO was a huge bust for me and I still play SWTOR which I enjoy but its not even close to what it really should be as a Star Wars game. Tron would be a blast but I have a feeling someone whould probably not do it justice.

General Discussion « Guild Wars 2 9/10/12 8:04:20 AM
Originally posted by sookster54 It is definately a themepark. You get downgraded but never upgraded so you cant earn XP going to an area higher than your current level. You are set on a path to level within level designated areas and that is still themepark. You follow the path. GW2 is no sandbox.Sandbox is free to roam anywhere without level designation and completely do as you wish. Tired of hearing TSW, GW2 being called sandboxes. They are not! |

SWG Didn't Execute Things Very Well But It Tried So Hard & Was Innovative - That's Why I Loved It
SWG Veteran Refuge « Star Wars Galaxies 9/07/12 5:28:44 PM
Originally posted by paulocafalli YES!!! I absolutely loved crafting and I am not a crafter. I miss this game witha passion. We need a SWG 2 set during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion. That would be awesome! Also SOE cant have it. Lets get Trion to do this game. I like how they have advanced Rift. :) |

What killed this game for you?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 9/05/12 5:04:13 PM
Originally posted by KissThaRing I agree with all those that you mentioned. I still sub to the game but I dont know how much longer. I wanted to explore the galaxy more not just on planets but in space. I wanted to hang trophies or hunt. I dont always want to be in a war setting all the time. PvP has just been horrible for me. The stuns and knockbacks along with the gear for pvp has been aweful for me. I am hoping they expand this game some more regarding the areas I was talking about. and that you have mentioned. I dont really care for the cinematics as much as I do the mechanics of the game. I truly hope the game gets better but like I said I dont know how much longer i wll sub. Throw me a carrot Bioware! |

Sorry man I didnt even finish reading what you and wrote because of this line "Really? Do you honestly think people in the 21st century believe you can sell out of a digital copy? Your efforts did not net you $300 for two new players, it didn't even net you $120 as I was expecting to shell out. It netted you $0 because of your greed." Really? Greed? If they were greedy they would continue to sell , sell , sell and over sell a product and you would not be able to get into the game and than they would price gouge you in the game market. Taking all your money and giving you nothing is more greedy than temporarily limiting the sell of the game in order to have server stability in a Free to play MMO. |

This game is not a sandbox game. I will give it better exploration than any game recently put out but that doesnt make it a sandbox game.

Just looked it over and ......No not going to happen. Its not going to be better than WoW and it wont be better than GW2 which is where you posted about the wrong game.

Biggest MMO Failure to date?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 8/09/12 8:42:27 AM
Sorry dissagree with everything you say. Bioware and EA never said it was a WoW killer it was the community who said that. Only a game can kill itself. TOR was not the level of success that everyone predicted but a complete failure is false and a lie. The game is still running, still being funded and still being developed. [mod edit] |

FORUM EXPERIMENT: Do You Play This MMO?
General Discussion « Star Wars: The Old Republic 8/07/12 7:08:14 PM
Were you interested in this game before it came out? Why? Why not?: Yes. It was Star Wars and based on The Old Republic Era. Do you currently play this game?: Yes If yes, please explain why: Because its Star Wars and not that bad a game. Plus there is no other alternative that interests me at this moment. If no, please explain why:
What MMOs are you currently playing and why do you play these particular titles?: I play the FTP Rift. I play it because Rift is a pretty solid game however not a big fan of their Races. Petty but true. What compels you to post in this particular subforum as frequently (or infrequently) as you do? I usually dont because of all the negative posts that tend to follow whenever you want to say something good. |

Star Wars: The Old Republic: Free to Play This Fall
News & Features Discussion « General Discussion 7/31/12 5:29:31 PM
Originally posted by Fendel84M No its just this site only has nay sayers all over it. Most of us once in a while glance at the game list and move on. All you get is bombarded with negative comments about games you like so whats to defend? I happen to love TOR. I play it everyday. I am not surprised that people have the attention span of a nat and the patience of a starving Tiger when it comes to MMO's. Some of these same people talk about how Tera was so much better and awesome...Now you are reading of F2P for that now. TSW same thing. All negative people are impossible to please and only care about saying they predicted something that was inevitable, either it was now or later. F2P is a model all games will adopt at some point. So to all you "Look at me I predicted F2P." .....here is your cookie. |

Originally posted by Sindorin I agree with you. They are shaking up the development and getting new fresh eyes on it. That doesnt mean they pull the plug. MMORPG has the most negative nellies out of any website I have ever seen so I also agree with you on there. |
