When P2 vanished it was announced that another studio had purchased the license, but not the programming that P2 had done. Unless that changed, and I haven't heard that it has, cryptic is responsible for the whole thing.

I think this sums up the duel issue pretty well....

Hey tater, I think you actually agree with us but just can't bring yourself to admit it. The whole argument is people who blind invite. You say we are rude for just declining a blind invite, but you seem to be defending the rudeness of the inviter. If I am not looking for a team and someone asks me to join thier team I will politely respond with "No ty". They well then usually say "ok".

As for duels....... Why would I accept a duel from someone 25 levels higher then I am?

The best thing about CoH costumes was the chest slider. Max it out and those things were HUGE!!

Its not a video game code of ethics, it's a simple case of not being rude. Just because I can't reach out and strangle you for annoying me doesn't make it ok. Why do so many people in MMOs seem to think that spamming invites to strangers with no warning is ok?

Most games like WoW and CoH have a way to look for people who want to group with you. USE IT!!!!!

Try to get a hold of The Repeat Offenders. They team every night, have SGs on four different servers last I knew, and run TFs every weekend. Try getting ahold of Hobo_Fruitsalad on the official forums. He should be able to help you.

Just remember the majority of thier SGs are themed, ie.....all rad, all tanks, and dark.

You can't trade with anyone not from your realm. Not even in a battleground. Had a guy on my warsong team ask if I could spare an Elixir of agility, when I tried to open a trade window it said "You can not trade with people not from your realm."

Last I knew it takes about 200 hours to hit max level. Someone else might know if thats changed.

The theif-like archtype, with stealth, would be the stalker. Yes there is a MArtial Arts stalker.

No, serial codes are one use only and a code bought in EU will not let you into US servers.

Good vs Evil was the only way to buy both CoH and CoV for one price and get access to both with one code. Now everyone who buys one gets the other, so no worries there. Yes they play against each other in Pvp zones and they have begun adding co-op areas where heros can team up with villians.

Quick correction......

CO is "supposed" to have all that.

Just like WAR was "supposed" to have four more classes and two more cities.

Not to mention this is not even the game they started making. They were actually working on Marvel Ultimate Online. CO is thier attempt to salvage the work they did before Microsoft pulled the plug.

Sadly a lot of old schoolers took it as a slap in the face. I know the whining about after the patch was worse then when it was announced.

The whole reason everyone jumped the PE/P2 ship was because PE decided to drop PSI's.

Cryptic really has no choice but to include PSI and make it a sandbox game. The PE/P2 fiasco clearly shows anything less will result in the same catastrophic failure that has already happened with Perpetual.

Pretty much every "What would you like to see in STO" thread ever created has the same ideas coming from the STO fans.

1: We want PSI's

2: We want Crafting

3: We want customizable ships

4: We want Multiple factions at launch

5: We want PVP

6: We want ground based combat

7: We want many different professions (IE)smuggler, inventor, Maquis, Spy.....etc

8: Semi realicstic graphics.

9: We don't care if it takes a supercomputer to play the game.

10: We want a Galaxy class Starship for our guild, to fly, fight,upgrade, and spend time on other things.

11: We want to be able to play Solo.

12: Super guilds would be awsome, mbe have their own space station /w trade routes, Guild created quests, Special items found/created by guild members.

13: I wan't to design my own starship, NOTE this should take an incredible amount of time and resources to achieve.

14: Fuly realized planets.

15: Full control of all ships systems.

 

Something like the above list is what Cryptic should be aiming for.

Otherwise don't bother.

Wow. Just wow. There is no way that you will get all of that from Cryptic.

And I flat out disagre with number 9. The higher the recquired specs to play it, the fewer players you will have. Lets face it, this is gonna be more of a niche game then CoH.

2.4 gb is the size of the file on your computer. You are mainly, as I understand it, downloading modefications to the 2.4 gb file.

Also, the patching has always been a problem with CoX.

If you select an empty character slot and it gives you the coice of villian or hero then yes. Last yeah when NCSoft bought Crypstics share of the game they gave all accounts in good standing ( accounts both active and inactive), that only had one side, the other side free. I don't think you can go out and buy just one and get the other, but I could be wrong.

I thought the scroll of resurection was a "pay for 30 days and get 15 free" thing.

You are perfectly within your rights to feel this way. But, you should realise, it's thier game and they can do whatever they want to do with it.

I've been dying for a Shadowrun or Vampire the Masquerade MMO for a long time. I will check out World of Darkness though.

CoH/CoV is a lot more graphics intensive then any of the games you listed. CoV even more so than CoH. Try turning your graphics settings down a bit. Also, what server are you on? Higher population servers tend to have more lag issues.
