if ur a vet and know what ur doing,u should be fine even if u have to start new.i mean hey wasnt it making that first character and starting fresh what was so addicting about EQ back in the day?im about to restart EQ again and im starting fresh,i just find it so fun to not be twinked,no money, not been on in awhile, and starting over.like he said, recent server merges have made the populations of current servers much higher.although alot of the player base is lvl 50 or higher, low lvl alts are still common.(im basing all of this on what friends who play the game have told me,as well as reading in about it.)last time i played the general hunting hotspots were FoB,kurns,PC,CC,CoM, and SolB,those being up to lvl 50.after that its just pretty much finding a planes group or a group in DS. |

Well Stromm is good server for newbs, but ur not a newb.Recently theyve been doing server merges in order to keep server populations high.while this is obviously a sign of EQ's declining population,it does mean that for now most of the servers should have pretty high populations.id suggest maelin starpyre, been playing on that server for awhile now and it seems quite populated, and fun. Also, just in case u dont find it easy getting a group, necros make the most awsome solo'ers. |

k so u dislike EQ's pvp,or EQ in general.thats fine....but do u really think your hating EQ/EQpvp has any meaning to the ppl on this forum?and why go to a forum for a certain game, where most of the ppl that read it are fans of that game, and flame on the game and tell them to go play another game? |

like he said, its an arena in the northern part of thecrystal desert.if u make a pvp only character u get automatic access to it and all the other arenas(except ascalon arena, which is lvl 10 or lower.)u can preselect ur teams, and then when u start u go thru a series of rounds(1v1,1v1v1v1v1v1v1v1 in consecutive sections, capture the relic etc.)the last round is the hall of heros, which is basically a king of the hill round(if ur team is holding the center by the time runs out,u win.)winning the hall of heros for your world(north america, europe, korea)gets special benefits for your world, such as more quests, access to underworld and stuff like that.as well as somthing to brag about :P |

yes pvp is arena based(new things coming in the future)its groups(random or preset, depending on the arena)that fight eachother.certain arenas or battles might have specific conditions in order to win, such as holding the center platform when the time runs out, capturing relics, and killing guild lords |

bah similarities and differences are on about 200 other posts behind this one..just look down a little and ull find one Whats special?all i can really say is its a nice change of pace for an average mmo player, and that its some of the best arena type pvp ive ever seen lvling isnt really difficult.20 is lvl cap,but even so it does get a little hard after 10.but this tends not to be a problem,as most of the time ur spending in the pve part of this game is to acomplish somthing for a quest or mission, and getting a new lvl tends to be a low priority GW's PvP is arena based.there are different kinds of pvp battles.random group, which as it says u start the battle in a random group(# of ppl depends on arena)and fight it out with another random group.preset group, which is tombs only i think(havent checked them all)where u make a group and start going thru a series of battles to reach hall of heros.and GvG,which u get together with some guildies,go to ur guild hall, and group leader either challenges a specific guild,or has the computer randomly pick a guild of around equil rank.winner gets higher rank and rating.looser looses rank and rating. Economy is simple.Gold and platinum.get gold from killing monsters, doing quests, selling stuff.go to vendors and buy what they have to sell(specific vendors sell specific things).i dont know how much gold makes a platinum piece. |

ok basing ur whole perspective of a game on how good its graphics look, let alone its.....grass....is pretty pathetic.EQ is an awsome game, and one of the best games to prove that looks dont mean a damn thing |

yea the epic 1.0's are very outdated(but usually just as hard to complete as they used to be).just goes to show howmuch a game can change in 5 years .back then the 1.0 epics wer as godly as the 2.0 epics are now |
