Well personally I feel a bit the same way...I tried to do research, but when I went to the website I got about the same out of it. I've watched a few videos and nothing seems so amazing as everyone seems to be making it out to be. Maybe its a new world and new lore, but the game play seems so boring... |

Actually there are classes...the difference is that TCoS classes are VERY customizable and all the classes can heal, tank, or be dps. Each class just does it differently, so in a way there are no classes...but at the same time, there are. |

if by beasts you mean the daevi...then yes there are humans that are playable and they can be from big size to really skinny, like you see in the vids. The big thing about this game is you can customize your look, so I'm assuming that there will be armor that will appeal to every ones tastes. |

Maybe the game is bad, but I've also heard a lot of good things coming out of beta too and I'm just curious as to why you've never posted here before... Plus I think part of why you don't see anyone could be because I don't think they have a lot of testers, this isn't a huge name game and I wouldn't want a ton of beta testers either that always seems to lead to trouble because of all the big mouths that think the game sucks... So I don't really know what the game will be, but I just don't want a lot of people to get turned off by this game before they try it just cause of what you say. Cause it is a bit dishearting to me to hear you say that stuff and I've been a hardcore fan of this game for so long...this game could really move the industry foward if it is a hit, even if it does have some low points, so I would like to see people at least try it. |

Jeez...everyone is so angry... I understand the difference in the time frame of development, but the OP has a point. When I looked at this game like a year ago I thought...cool, but I have almost no info to tell whether or not I want to play it. Now I go back today and see thats its being released at the end of the year, well dang, they must have some info up now...nope, same old stuff. I've been following TCoS and it has a TON more info out than this game and its releasing at the same time...so there is a point here. I'm not really comparing it to DF I'm just wondering why there isn't more info out there. |

I didn't bother to read all of this, but I agree totally with the OP. Not only about the grouping aspect, which I could see either way on that. I liked one guys post about the circle, games were about grouping, then solo and then back to grouping. That seems kinda reasonable to me, especially with all the different types of MMO players out there. What I really liked about what the OP said was that games are too EASY. I want to walk out at the beginning and get totally owned too. I want to try multiple times and fail trying to beat the first mob I see. I want to have to climb to the top of a tower and shoot the bastard before he reaches me, because I know if he reaches me I'm dead. Plus whoever it was talking about guilds in WoW...guilds in WoW are nothing compared to old MMO's. The fact that I could have a guild house in AC was huge. I'd log in and see my guild members simply hangin' out around the house buffing each other getting ready for another adventure. The coolest thing about that is that people aren't the green text in the chat box in your lower left hand corner. They are there, right next to you, everytime you log on. It all just adds so much more to guilds. But whatever I'm getting lengthy. |

Fantasy yes, but when you actually put a good story and don't spin off the elves and trolls and such it becomes much, much better. |

Very cool idea...if nothing else it at least gives something that I've been waiting for... The ability to shape the world. The stuff that happens probably won't be as epic as I could hope...but at least they are trying. |

Originally posted by winter I agree with this post 100 percent, in fact I've even been seeing it happen in the TCoS forums...and there is definitely a ton more info on that game than there is on Darkfall. TCoS isn't being over advertised and there are few people even paying attention to it (in relation to the bigger mmos). Rarely do people comment on the negatives...and if they do they usually don't know what they are talking about and get ignored quickly. So the people into the game (me included :D) run out of things to discuss, it usually just comes back around to how much we can't wait to play. So trolls I salute you for your hard work at making mmorpg.com a place where its not always rainbows and unicorns and we can learn the hard truth about the games we love. :D |

I do not care about this game one bit, I just like hearing how launch is going so I check out some of the posts when I'm bored. From what I've been reading and this is just what I've read not how it actually is, but the majority of the complaints seem to have nothing to do with bugs or crashes, it's more with the way the game is designed, especially with the instances and such. |

Originally posted by Vehuel Xbox 360 has updates all the time for different games...I doubt that it would be that hard. For those that think the controller wouldn't work...I disagree because once you get used to a controller it can almost be easier than a pc. Maybe menus and such could be a pain, but if it was designed right there is NO reason to "dumb" it down. |

You know, if you must do instancing there is a way that would keep immersion for me...it was something that I always like about AC. The fact that whenever there was loading you were going through a portal...no stupid static loading screens. AC wasn't instanced, but they could still do something similar with instancing...I think it would really help to avoid breaking immersion...you still feel like your part of the world and not outside of it waiting for it to load. Edit: Actually I guess there is still nothing you could do about multiple instances of the same area which is the main concern here, more has to do with zoning I guess...just throwing that out there even though I know it is a little off topic...sorry. |

It might not be a done deal, but it should be pretty close since they ended up going for a simultaneous release in EU and US. I don't think they would announce that happening unless they were pretty close to having a US publisher. |

It is a little disappointing that they are going to use instancing, but I think the poster before is right in being optimistic. This game probably won't be as big as AoC (although I hope it is :D) and if it does were probably only going to see instancing when the game first starts out and everyone is in the beginning area. After that hopefully this game is made so that people will want to spread out across the world. Then instances will probably only happen occasionally inside quarterstone. |

I really doubt this is vaporware, they just released information about US publisher and release date not that long ago...but if it's not for you, it's not for you. |
